Sport mode makes the throttle more responsive as well

How do you get one with a sport button I have looked online and none of the ones I see for sale have one

TVS stage 2+ TCU map is excellent, I've also got the RTMG upgraded clutch but haven't fitted it yet

my mate has got a dsg polo gti. he got it mapped stage2 running like 250-255 and the gearbox was fuckked. he’s swapped the gearbox for a dq250 and he’s got it mapped again to stage 3 idk what its running but its gapping golf r’s

I'm sure you can't have a private number plate that makes your car look newer then it actually is? How did you get around this?

@@davidgg90 it's a plate from 1984, B was the year followed by a 1 to 3 digit random number, then a random letter and the two letters at the end were code for where it was first registered

Iv had a few manuals and a few autos. Manual all day for me. Automatic gets boring fast. Not enough driver engagement. I think autos are better for the average everyday guy who's not into cars and is just using the car for driving to work and shopping ect...

@@puffy3146 6c is 1.8. Engines are pretty similar to golf's ea888 . The 1.8 actually has thicker cylinder walls and you can easily put an is20 or even is38 turbo on the polo and they can make good power for reasonable money

@@puffy3146 You do have 1.4 polo's aswell (turbo and supercharged) its the pre facelift called 6R instead of a 6C. I have a 6C aswell with a tune, 245WHP and its 220kg lighter then a golf.

Here is my take on my 2019 Polo GTI: I've been blessed to be able to get this car with a 6MT instead of a DSG. The very first thing I noticed is that the curb weight of my 6MT 2019 Polo GTI is literally 100kg lighter than the DSG version (1241kg for the manual and 1355 for DSG version). Second, the DSG seems to have way too long gearing particularly affecting the 100-200km/h times. The 6MT seems to be much better geared. The only problem - most of the world only ever got the DSG version - but the manual version available at least in central Europe (Germany, Austria, Slovenia, etc.) seems to perform way better. The average DSG 2019 Polo GTI does 100-200km/h in about 21-22 seconds. My Polo GTI 6MT does the exact same in 15.8 seconds, on a straight and leveled road (not downhill). And I swear to god I'm not shitting you. That's a MIND BOGGLING difference. Obviously the DSG would highly likely take me 0-100, but man, what the hell. We're talking a whopping 5 seconds of difference 100-200, that's a huge margin. Whatever the DSG gets in 0-100 it would absolutely lose back and more, to a 6MT version in a 1/2 race, possibly even a 1/4 with good manual shifting. It's like we're talking a completely different car. That 100kg difference is also huge. Had the chance of driving both my manual and the DSG version (ended up buying the manual obviously) and was wondering at the time why the manual actually felt snappier, and especially felt lighter on the steering wheel. Weird.

Manual all day. I had a dsg 6c GTI brand new in 2017 and gearbox shit itself in less than 3000 miles 😂

Not comparing these cars, but clearly there is a reason why majority of professional racecar drivers use these type of gearboxes with paddle shift over manual

@@DOBS13 Yes that is because DSG is quicker. No argument there from me. I was astounded to find out that even Max Verstappen, arguably the greatest new driving talent, cannot drive a manual and has never bothered to learn. It’s a shame that this skill will be lost in the next few years as manuals disappear. Frankly you young guys are missing out on some truly engaging cars by not learning to heel/toe. But that’s life and the world moves on.
