Euthia is same price point, but the quality isn't - for example the player boards aren't nice dual layer, they're thin glossy card stock.

You forgot to mention that Kinfire Council had an atrocious $1 pre-order for the micro-expansion that now costs $20 to backers! Fuck that noise.

The company seems pretty stubbornly set on keeping it even though people have been telling them it will drive people away from the project for months. Their “all-in” pledge for $300 doesn’t even include the micro-expansion, so they expect you to shell out another $20 after the “all-in”. Vote with your wallet my friends if you want this type of marketing practice to stop.

I have such a glut of games, I can be dissuaded from backing a game by small things. (1) I don’t collect CCG(s) so no “Wonders of the 1st” (2) Kinfire Council had a $1 pre-order, had incomplete art, and had a semi-coop element in their game so I skipped. (3) Euthia - haven’t ordered any of it so the lure of “more/completionist” is not there. (4) I did back “Earth” based on all that I have seen: mechanisms, gameplay run throughs and the reviews and ranking on BGG this is a great fit for my family and friends. (5) House of Fado (Gallerist lite) - I already have Gallerist.

I was thinking about backing Keystone but I decided to wait until retail. I'm still contemplating One Card Maze but maybe just the PnP version so that I can increase the size. The wallet size seems too small for my aging eyes.

For Pericle you did not mention the shipping costs to EU which are just insane !

Not surprised Canvas is doing well, however my game group and I hated it, even with the reflections expansion. The issue is their is a disconnect with the art and the game itself. If you looking for cards to make a good art piece your most likely loosing the game, and if you looking for cards to win, you most likely not making the best artistic piece. This resulted in a weird spot in my group were people were winning but not happy that they were, and others that were not happy because they didn't win. Personally I feel like Floriferous is the same type of game, but the theme works better. Its just not as decked out with deluxe components.

Have you taken a look at the Cosmic Chain campaign? I can’t really decide if that game has a place in the “light card duel” genre, with games like Radlands and Mindbug. What’s your thought on it?

35:04 Keystone North America 2nd Edition had the player count reduced. That's why they offer the 4-player upgrade pack. First edition supported 4 players out of the box. There is another pack to allow the first edition of the game to work with the Coastal Expansion.

I'm scratching my head on this one.i have 1st edition and it's a analysis and paralysis game.its very tight,scoring was hard,they added more was to score,which is good.l like it,but it's not for everyone.

Euthia core + deluxe I am 100% in. I love this kind of game, but I am not sure if I need another 2 expansions. The core game is SO big that content should give me a lot of content and it may not be worth buying 2 expansions only for more heroes.

An what about HEXplore it? I think it's kinda similar ... And you can have a huge amount of heroes an combinations between races, traits and clases

I have enough Mage Knight which I haven't played to get Euthia, that's why I haven't gotten it yet.

Totally agree that the expansion content for a game I haven't played is impossible to know whether to buy. It's kinda' annoying. Thanks for all your thoughtful insights!

There's one game I'm waiting for called Night shift. If you get the chance to review a copy that would be awesome.

I did back “Brother’s Murph”. Gave them $10. Love their content. Hahah…..they are very entertaining. They are in my top 10 Board Game channels. Of course, Liege of Games is also in my top 10 also…..duh!!!

I skipped Conan because it didn’t feel like I was in a sword swinging land of adventure. Just felt like chucking dice and matching symbols. I skipped Epoch. Looks interesting but I have Nations, Clash of Cultures and Mosaic and I don’t play those enough. Neon Reign - I like Manny Tremble art but I feel like this is riding off the coat tails of his art and there is not a lot of meat and substance to this game. I could be wrong.

Big Boxes should have MASTER rulebooks as standard (Western Legends did this also)

Agree. Stonemeier coming with rulebooks for solo, automa, game, expansions, appendix, etc is obnoxious

I'be backed cruel frost, none of the other stuff interests me, its a shame that ICE MAKES didn't do another run and expansion for Terrorscape, the campaign was brilliant (fulfillment went sideways a bit) but the game is solid.

Well, I know that pledge level is $$$ for Wonders of the First…but I’m pretty sure I’ll be in the “thousands of dollars” range when Celestial drops 😅👀 I mean, DID YOU SEE ALL THE GIANT PLASTIC THEY HAD?!?!?! (I love to paint) but the game itself also looks super badass. Again, I’m the guy that buys most of my games on aesthetics as long as it’s a decent looking game so…
