I have a Mayday Crokinole board, I have no issues with the board and stand by its quality. The accessories (disc holder and scoring block) are cheaper/less refined, but I have no qualms with the board or discs themselves. Wood has a good finish and has not shown wear after 2+ years of owning.

Rove is not the first game the studio made. They made the popular fan made expansion for gloomhaven and they have the original artist on board

You always say you are worried about how people respond "down in the comments" to your views, but I hardly see you responding to comments or questions.

Rove is good for Gloomhaven fans who know they will play it. I personally have played Gloomhaven and Jaws of the lion twice all the way through.

With the Thinning Veil this is a taste of the actual Thinning Veil. They are planning on launching the actual Thinning Veil after this one. So basically this is a different game that will be compatible with the following game. Hope that made sense 😅

@@Ironhawx oh it’s not secrecy, they just had high goals on the original campaigns and didn’t meet them. So now they are trying for a solo/2 player game that’s in the same universe to make sure they can release their games and start building on that world before they try funding for the third time and fail. Anyway, I just looked a lot into it, I may be wrong in everything I’ve said.

Many guys here misunderstood it. They went this "smaller" game, because first two kickstarters were really ambitious and 200$ big games, and as for first time creators, many people advised them to start with something more deliverable. I personally was in same camp, definitely intrigued with a game, but scared of with pricepoint and no track record. Even now im intrigued, but there are few things holding me off for now... pledge levels are so confusing.. i understand this is kinda "filler" game to prove that they can deliver, but still. And pricepoint, gameplay allin, eu shipping + vat is 175€, this is definitely not lightweight game pricing. Atleast not for me.

I bought 2 Crokinole boards in the last most recent KS campaign. Gave one as a gift. Rave reviews and fun from everyone who played. Can highly recommend and it’s a screaming deal if you’ve ever looked into Crokinole boards before. A great beer and pretzels game but I ain’t trying to spend $500 on a board. After shipping and all the discs and accessories needed you’re gonna wish you could find a quality $99 board

People who bowl and golf know how important the play surface can be. My suggestion would be to do a little searching and see if there are any crokinole groups or game stores in the area and see if a better surface makes a difference to you.

after you read the rules for Everbloom, can you tell me if I am misunderstanding something, but from what I can tell, in a 4 or 2 player game the 4th player or 2nd player get shafted by the rules. From my understanding the game is played over the course of 3 rounds. The first player shifts each round. So, in a 3 player game everyone gets a chance to go first. In a 2 player game the "first" player gets to go first twice and in a 4 player game, the "fourth" player never goes first. Ultimately this wouldn't necessarily be a problem other than the player that is the first player for the round gets an extra action chip. So, is the 4th/2nd player inherently completely disadvantaged? To me, the rules make it sound woefully unbalanced at anything other than 3 players....

The "lowest price in the last 30" days is a EU thing. Online stores have to tell you that when they give a discount.

The company that is kickstarting wonders of the first CCG were forced to cancel bc they were selling nft’s of their game, which is against policy. Their reasons on the KS are all shady lies

You really should mention shipping costs (to the US, since I assume that's most of your audience) as that is an increasing significant proportion of the final cost - and I suspect sometimes a hidden profit component. Also, note when Update Kits are offered (such as for H&H), as that can be a much more cost-effective way to acquire the latest & greatest.

I really like wild west themed games, but there's something about guns of the west that just screams 'don't back' at me. I was watching the CG stuff and it was just do bad. I really hope it turns out good for people who back it.

I wanted the Thinning Veil game and backed the first campaign. This is a taste of the game and for me I’m not interested. Something tells me I’m not alone.

The Wonders of the First Grift was initially cancelled because it was an NFT grift action. And now in the relaunch they tried to brigade reviews and comments on Board Game Geek, they got caught, they cried, they continue to repress comments about the game. Their entire model depends on the NFT grifting angle and the initial funding was a slew of $4k backers... for an unproven game company? Definitely just a speculation move. The entire campaign and creators reek of grift. They seem desperate. Then again, that is what these schemes depend upon. And funding keeps back-sliding from the speculative whales jumping ship.

Expert crowdfunding advice. AKA, I have no idea what any of this stuff is. Let me read a couple things and add a couple "if this is your ilk" and "as a whole"

I also suggest anyone intkrested in Oshi look into Japanime current performance... helping out with this one tanto Cuore haunted manor project Dec '23 update stuff is headed for production after the new year Jan '24 update stuff is printing and should freight before Chinese New Year March '24 update printing took longer than expected but we should have it in our warehouse early april May 2nd 2024 update yeah sorry that all was for the wrong project, we just sent the final print files to the factory BYE!

Free rulebook through a webshop. Now that is a red flag you don't see often. But it definitely suits a creator that heavily deletes comments on his campaign page.

Ι find Rove overpriced... FH was on KS with 110 scenarios, miniatures, map tiles, etc etc, that is probably double the game, at same price the full deluxe one comes atm... 99 pledge is a joke since it already has an "expansion". Oh well. /rantoff

@@siriactuallysara as I said, the 99$ pledge makes absolutely no sense. You basically buy less content than available - 1 year in advance 😂 Don't get me wrong, game looks and sounds great and all but the play/price ratio seems off, for me personally at least 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kilforth games have always been grossly overpriced for a bunch of cards that all have repeated art and more of the exact same components, the art is lush but the gameplay is meh as for Thinning Veil, why does a company or anyone need 2.5 in crowdfunding ffs, if they cant raise a couple of grand then i wouldnt trust that project.
