I think Grimcoven will raise more than DC United. DCeased was nowhere near as popular as Marvel Zombies, could be IP, could be enough already, but same situation for DC United vs Marvel United.

There was an extra amount of publicity for expeditions gears of corruption expansion, but Jamey was very hands-On answering questions that came up on board game geek about this expansion and it's something I would like to see from other publishers/designers with their games. So I personally do not mind and the referenced embargoes by a company that handles upcoming game/ expansion releases in such a manner. Content providers may have a different opinion.

Embargoes more prevalent in other hobbies e.g. books and music, where there are influential 'charts'. They want to get as high as they can up the chart, and a dripfeed won't do that for them.

Personally, i am much more likely to back a project that has previews, news, gameplays,etc. Out over a long period before the crowdfunding starts… i like to plan my backings, and several times i have skipped a project because the info came out too late, and didnt fit my schedule… not too mention that too often i find that the real useful info or videos come too late in the campaign, after i already decided to skip it… The more vides the better, the more time before campaign deadline the better, the more different content creaters, the better… thats what i base my backings on…

I got that Mythic email as well. I actually responded to it with a short, albeit pointed, message that suggested they learn how to read the room and that perhaps continuing to use coercive, icky marketing strategies while your company is in its death throes is *probably* not the best track to take if you have any hope of ever repairing your reputation and mending fences with all of the backers you've d*cked over. I really wish they'd just sell off their remaining properties and exit stage left at this point.

I think Grimcoven will do well. I saw a few playthroughs, and it looks good. My main issue is those gameboards are dark and with the dark minis, i could not make out the state of the game board without the video commentary. I will be all in on DC Superhero United and on with Isfet. Then I'm just waiting on the Deliverance expansion.

I am fairly sure that I will be passing on Grimcoven. I simply have enough Boss Battlers with Oathsworn and KDM to really need another one. Plus the artwork really turns me off and the miniatures did not really draw me in either. I am still on the fence with Mythic Battles Isfet. I have everything so far for the other two Mythic Battles games (and probably get the new expansions for those two at the very least).

The rambling at the end is the best part😂

I'm torn about Merchants of the Dark Road, it's okay but besides that box being full and would probably have lift. I just can't crowdfund Elf Creek. Too many delays and issues and broken trust. I'll wait for retail.

EBR doesn't have a retail presence. You have to back it on gamefound or whatever. So wherever you're talking about is basically just ordering a bunch of retailer pledges or whatever. There is zero stock until they print it. (which makes zero sense to order it from a retail store because you can still late pledge for it).

Embargoes are about the least annoying aspect of current game marketing. Retailers marking-up games is really annoying. Demonstrating games is one thing, and I don't expect any relevant opinions any more; but constant rave reviews from the same sources would be grounds for suspicion. That's why iPads are nice.

Crazy pills? Mental health is really tough. I know what he's saying but we also have to pay attention to what we say when we say it. Youre definitely off your game today bruh.
