Copy-pasting this from a previous comment because KZread is hiding the comment that I replied to for some reason. I'm also pinning your comment because why not lol. TL;DR Ragna's analysis was obviously shit, but the fight got some things wrong, as well, background information makes it worse, and Nervous Nick apparently hates Blazblue for no reason. So, right away, Ragna's analysis was not only riddled with errors, but the whole "no one knows" gag came across as incredibly disrespectful. I get that they were trying to make a joke on how weird the series is (which as much as I love Blazblue's story it does get convoluted), but none of the things they pointed out are in any way crazy. They really used the gag to point out plot holes that don't actually exist (like ffs how do you not know that BB's currency is platinum dollars when you can literally earn the currency itself in the games to spend on things like extra colors and concept art). The closest they get to actually tapping into the weird stuff is with Noel stopping Ragna from falling into the cauldron (which, sidenote, I didn't appreciate how they referred to Noel as "this chick" when you consider how important she is to the story and Ragna's arc especially), but even that's not worth bringing up because Blazblue works under multiverse theory. Hell, even in Sol's analysis, they still feel the need to spite BB's story. Not only does this make the joke even more insulting, but the context of the Sol scene is that he watched his past self die right in front of him but stayed alive because "he didn't like the idea of him dying, so he just didn't" (their words not mine). This is objectively weirder than anything that they brought up for Blazblue, but apparently it's enough to make them think that Guilty Gear lore isn't weird at all (which as someone who's also a big Guilty Gear fan, its story is weird, just in a different way from Blazblue's). Now onto the fight, and some people say that the fight itself is still a good sprite fight. To each their own, but Ragna's choreography kinda hurts it for me. The fight starts off pretty well with Sol hunting Ragna after seeing his bounty (Ragna always roams around in public since he never really cared about his bounty and Sol's a bounty hunter, so this setup makes perfect sense). But then Sol gets a few hits and Ragna IMMEDIATELY tries to activate the Azure Grimoire......that's not how his fights normally work. To be fair, one of Ragna's weaknesses is how he's over reliant on the Azure, but there's still no reason to believe that he would try to activate it the moment he gets hit. Sol interrupting it the way he did is a good moment on paper, but it falls flat because Ragna didn't even try to attack him beforehand. Then he activates the Azure and he can finally get some hits in, and the combos are animated well on both sides, but Ragna doesn't get too many other hits in between his first combo and when he grabbed Sol to try and finish him off (more on that later). Another oddity I don't like about the fight is how Ragna activated the Idea Engine and THEN went into Blood Cain, but Blood Cain is him going all out with the Azure, and the entire point of the Idea Engine is that it was meant to limit the drawbacks that came with it, so at best, it means that the Idea Engine just randomly died out by Ragna's will (which iirc can't happen in the games at all), and at worst, they just completely ignored how the Azure even works for him. There was basically no reason to not have known about this since Chronophantasma came out months before the episode was even planned and they even used footage and music from that game (sidenote, CP also gives a direct answer to why the Azure was "not Ragna's power to use" and it's a crucial part of Ragna's development in that game, too, so I fail to see how they could've missed that). Now for the Black Beast part of the fight, I love how Ragna impales Sol to try and finish him off, but Sol just no-sells it and stabs him back (raw moment; no problems with it). But then Ragna just becomes the Black Beast, which he can't just do because he needs to absorb a Murakumo unit. The Beast's ESSENCE is within Ragna, so in theory, it might be torn out of him, but as far as becoming the Beast itself goes, that's not how his death works. There's also the part with Sol casually one-shotting the Black Beast in silhouettes (sidenote, why tf is Dragon Install in silhouette? The sprites are very easy to access and he didn't even yell out "DORAGONUU EENSHTAAAAAAAAAAAAARU" which is like the most hype thing ever). The Black Beast can only damaged- let alone killed- by things like magic, which I'm sure that Sol could have access too, but they do not touch upon in the ending analysis at all. And for one final slap in the face, the epilogue of the fight exclusively focuses on Sol as he destroys a giant stack of paper literally titled "Blazblue script". In other words, this entire episode was basically a hate piece for not just Ragna, but Blazblue as a whole. Hate pieces like this have only ever happened one other time in the episode that we Death Battle fans don't talk about. I blame Nervous Nick for this because he was the main writer of this episode (and head researcher, too), and he had a lot of influence on Death Battle in the early days (which is why Killer Instinct had so many episodes in the first few seasons). And after seeing the Screwattack Top 10 Edgelords video, which was entirely produced by him (or at least he was the only person speaking in that episode), I'm convinced enough that he legitimately dislikes Blazblue because he didn't grow up with it or some petty reason like that. Granted, I also heard that the Alter Memory anime was the primary source of research for Ragna's analysis, which even BB fans dislike because it tries to cram two full games' worth of story and character arcs into 12 anime episodes (on top of the cheap animation techniques). Even still, it doesn't excuse the fact that it felt like a hate piece. So far, this sound really bad, but one could argue that a few other characters were treated dirtier, and if you exclusively look at Death Battle itself, I could understand why. However, it's the subtleties from DB and even other DB related shows that make me believe that Ragna has been done worse than every character that isn't Mikey. To begin with, Ragna vs Sol was an episode that came out when DB only teased one of the combatants instead of both of them. When that was the case, RAGNA was the character that was teased after Kirby vs Majin Buu. Not Sol, the arguably more popular character, but Ragna, and they even played it up like it was a big deal that he was making his debut on the show. Then the episode came out and they just shit all over him because they think the story is weird. Then you get into the other DB related shows and notice that Ragna was the winner of the worst One Minute Melee episode where he didn't even use any of his abilities (though the OMM team did say that they wanted to remake it, but they're currently MIA from what I've seen so there's that) and was also curbstomped by Ruby in his DBX episode that was at a result of executive meddling. People have accused Yang vs Tifa and Excalibur vs Raiden of such, even though Ben has stated multiple times that this was not the case for either of those episodes, but for Ragna vs Ruby it's actually true. Ragna was planned to win a closer fight, but Rooster Teeth asked them for Ruby to win very easily to promote RWBY Volume 5 (sidenote, I actively dislike RWBY because I cannot get into the show for many reasons, but the DBX and Yang vs Tifa have nothing to do with it). So yeah, that's my piece on why Ragna was done dirtier than nearly every other combatant. Nemesis did a good job at pointing out the inconsistencies in Ragna's analysis and why the "no one knows" joke doesn't work, but he isn't nearly as passionate about Blazblue or Ragna as I am, so he didn't need to tap into the outside factors like what I did. But basically you could equate how I felt about Ragna's portrayal to how Nem felt about Starscream's portrayal. It's basically the same energy lol.

Honestly the one thing that pisses me off more than anything about that analysis is them being just flat out stupid regarding the whole "How did Terumi stab Ragna and why? NO ONE KNOWS" scene, where they literally are playing a clip from the anime where Ragna's getting his heart stabbed and arm cut off by Yukianesa while saying this. Say what you want about Shadow vs Mewtwo where they were hating on Shadow the entire time, this was just hating on Blazblue as a whole. In regards to Ragna vs Velvet, there is actually some solid arguments to be made for Blazblue characters reaching Universal+ levels of power with the Black Beast, so I doubt that this fight would be fair, plus Blazblue lore being nutty as hell, especially with how magic/sorcery is and beings outside of logic it's way too onesided against Velvet it's not even funny. If you want I can elaborate on what I mean.

@@adrianfahrenheittepes1976 I've already seen the arguments for BB being anywhere between uni-outer and they're all heavily flawed. We've already discussed this together in the past; vs debating is subjective, the DB team needs to address them, and I doubt that they will given that Liam straight up doesn't even buy uni DMC (heck, I think the team even struggles to believe Rosalina being uni given the black box about her in Wario vs Dedede). We had a good convo, don't get me wrong, but it's not one I'm willing to have again.

Ehh, was there some debunk to BlazBlue as a whole being remotely universal and higher? Especially with the gods themselves because I don’t recall seeing any.

If they do make Batman vs Spider-Man again, I think it should be Spider-Man Noir vs Thomas Wayne Batman, different versions of the two characters that have different scaling and arsenals which could be more interesting and you could have them utilizing an style like Heracles vs Sun Wukong but more in the style of detective noir and/or older comic books. I’ve started to like it the more I think about the matchup and the potential for a super unique, stylized battle

In my honest opinion, Ben vs GL should definitely get a remaster. A lot of Ben's feats were overlooked or not mentioned and finally seeing Teen Ben would be nice. I know the sprite animation budget would be big but I feel like it's worth it to truly showcase what Ben's capable of and not lowball him to the extent he was in the original. I'm not saying he'd stomp Hal, but the way they had Hal win, the way they negated Alien X's Durability and downplayed his powerset are all reasons for a remake. Not to mention the wasted potential of not using aliens that aren't as "popular" that have better chances of countering Hal's attacks such as Chromastone, Goop, Clockwork, Jetray, Feedback, Upgrade, Big Chill, Ghostfreak, Upchuck, etc. I truly just want to see Ben done justice even if he loses again.

@@michaelcozzi9637 He's fought them and done well, but he's had his butt handed to them just as often. I do whole heartedly believe that Ben could beat Hal some times. Not every time, but some. And I can make several cases as to how. Hal and Ben are both definitely great characters, but Ben was massively mishandled in that fight.

Hal would still win. I was team Ben 10 all the way until I realize how broken GL actually is. Not to mention the majority of his aliens power wise don't hold a candle to Hal. Even his fastest aliens such as Xlr8 and Jetray are massively slower than him. The biggest reason why Hal wins yet again because of all the abilties Hal *resist* I'm talking about time manipulation, reality manipulation, molecular manipulation, fear toxins, soul manipulation,mind reisitance, and even reformed himself from literally nothing in his Rebirth run.

This was incredibly fun to watch and reminisce on old episodes. Also, glad to know someone is with me on justice for Mikey! They did him so dirty

@@Kingbeat1 It's like they forgot Mikey's nun chucks can extend and have hidden blades (at least in 2016 TMNT) and that he has taken down enemies on his own (I'm not that well versed in that many versions of the franchise but still.)

On Ben vs. Hal, they've already addressed some of the points you brought up here in their Q&A Death Battle Cast (specifically the Jetray and the Echo Echo points). Ben vs. Hal's biggest flaw was that its post-fight explanation suuuuuuuucked. Also I like your energy! New sub! 😊 Keep making Death Battle content, please!

@@raymonddavis9545 1) Ghostfreak not ghost face 2) Green Lanterns can tag invisible and intangible opponents (like Ghostfreak or Big Chill) and can't use nor take off their ring when mind controlled / possessed so no luck with using that transformation 3) Ben would NEED Alien X to stand a chance again Green Lantern since the version of Green Lantern they used (Hal Jordan) is literally the best Green Lantern and has faced characters far more powerful than Alien X ever was, because this is a DC character

Don’t believe anything they say, Hal didn’t defeat Captain Atom in the comics they reference, once atom got serious he one shot Hal. The krona feat is also nonsense, if you’ve actually read the comics they used like I have then you’d understand the utter nonsense they’re trying to pedal. I don’t even need to argue multiverse+ alien x, all of their universal feats are absolutely wrong if you do the research yourself

Erza vs Zoro was an intersecting beast. Like 1 week after Zoro vs Erza came out, it was already outdated due to Erza's meteor slicing feat when she also had a broken arm. However, due to Wano stuff, Zoro probably takes the W again. Although i know little about 100 year quest Erza so a rematch could be interesting.

33:25 Death Battle has made custom 3D models for years now. Iron man had the first custom 3D model I believe, and most of Voltron and Power Rangers were custom made. Pretty much every 3D episode after that one has been custom made aside from the SFM episodes. And even then BatGirls model was custom made

Large star mainly comes from this calc: versus-compendium.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:NocturnBros/Tales_of_Zestiria:_Edna%27s_black_hole Not only does it calc the black hole from Edna's shooting stars mystic arte, but it also goes into other feats that support its legitimacy (the best one being Heldalf creating a sun and a moon in his domain, and I'd also consider the creation of Berseria's final dungeon to support this calc, as well). Given that Berseria is in the same world as Zestiria and that Edna was given the power of an elemental empyrean, it's safe to assume that this is the minimum power of Innominat, who is the strongest empyrean (it's also implied that Immoninat was fighting off all four of the empyreans at once, so it's possible that he's stronger than all of them combined, which could mean that he's at least four times stronger than Edna, but that's just a theory). I'm also trying to bring the earthpulse points into this since they're kinda like portals to a pocket dimensions, but I'm not sure where they'd be. I've been doing some Tales revisions recently and if I'm right in what I've been thinking about it, FTL might be the norm for the Tales series in terms of speed, not just for Zestiria/Berseria like I said in the video.

@@jonathanfrostwothan7668 Hi, um I'm sorry for commenting on this, but I've seen the FTL tales stuff you did, and I'm a little skeptical. Mostly because while you pointed out valid light speed attacks, you didn't really show anyone dodging them. With the only one's I can Kinda agree on being Edna's and the other black hole espcape feat, who's name I can't spell without thinking of another character. But otherwise, you pointed out a lot of light speed attacks, but gave no real evidence of it scaling to their reaction speed. Now if you do have footage of them being dodged or the like I'd love to see it. Because I've been getting into the tales series myself. (Currently own Beseria and Arise. and am looking forward to possibly getting Xillia 1 and 2 soon.)

Yea it was crazy weird lol. It's established that each of the Turtles are good at specific things. Leo is good at decision making, Donnie is good at making tool, Raph is good at fighting, and Mikey is extremely creative. Don't know why they wanted to downplay him so much lol

Yeah after looking into the SCP Foundation they have a peculiar use of canon where everything up is canon and everything that gets deleted was apparently never real, so that could absolutely get weird. Especially if they do the episode and something vital that DB used to determine the victor gets deleted.

as a Ben 10 fan I'd love to see a rematch less because of the matchup but more so they can include more of Ben's iconic aliens (The fact they refused to include Rath is so depressing considering the fact he's such an amazing alien) Though a bit of me kinda wants to see more Ben 10 matchups like maybe Vilgax vs Ridley or Megatron or Kevin vs...maybe Cole due to the absorption aspect? My dream matchup is Deathbattle taking specific aliens and giving them matchups like Rath vs Incineroar or Atomix vs Optimus Prime. I doubt they'd ever do it since I can imagine some people being annoying about it but I love the idea of seeing different aliens have their chance to not get overshadowed by Alien X

I would for sure love to see a Death Battle rematch because some fights in DB ended unfairly like the Ben 10 vs Green Lantern fight

Haven't played through either of the Xillia games in years, so I gotta ask, what makes them universal? Is it just Ludger beong able to wipe out fractured dimensions or is there something else I'm forgetting?

That's part of it (although Ludger is the only character that is actually able to destroy the divergence catalyst, Jude can still damage it), but when the fractured dimension is destroyed, it is very heavily implied that the fractured dimension collapses with them in it, yet the next scene has them completely unaffected (though given how the fractured dimension's destruction directly affects the prime dimension I'd argue that Ludger and other chromatus bearers + Chronos (who created the chromatus's powers in the first place) would be low multiversal, but Jude wouldn't scale to that). Jude is also able to keep up with and take hits from Victor, who's just evil Ludger with a full chromatus. There's also Milla's claim that she and Muzet would be able to take down Chronos, albeit they would be heavily drained afterward, and at that point it's a matter of whether or not you think Jude should scale to that. If you don't think so, then Jude is merely solar system/multi-solar system via heavily damaging Maxwell (and breaking some sort of barrier of his) with one punch, and his existence maintains the Temporal Crossroads. Maybe it's just me wanking Tales, but Xillia 2 scaling does go really fucking crazy. XD

20:32 This is my most wanted rematch. I get why some would want Eggman to fight Bowser, but personally, I think that fight would be a little too unfair for Eggman, Wily is just more on Eggmans level. And considering the fight ended with neither of them winning, I think it's for the best that they remake this fight and changed some rules, like getting rid of Metal Sonic for one.

They could easily use Mecha Sonic Mk.2 or Gemerl as Eggman's ultimate weapon, as both are on similar or higher-levels to Metal. Mecha has his Super form, which is a massive buff, while Gemerl is a more advanced version of Emerl, who is directly stated to be a planet-buster by Gerald. And that's _without_ his Ultimate mode.

The reason why I think Metal Sonic should be removed is he was the reason why the outcome had neither Eggman or Wily winning. Besides, Metal Sonic Vs. Zero had it's own episode with a clear winner. The Eggman Vs. Wily rematch should just focus mostly on the two mad scientists fighting.

@@Wahknight-ew5ml To be fair, the conclusion of the original fight actually made a certain amount of sense. Wily's got an established track record of stealing other people's robots and making them go nuts, and Eggman has a habit of of unleashing things far beyond his control and can't even _build_ a loyal, intelligent servant. Combine that with Metal's instability, and "Wily triggers one of Eggman's more volatile creations and sends it on a rampage that ends up killing them both" seems like the way that fight would actually end. Besides, Zero vs. Metal lowballed Metal Sonic anyway. Metal Overlord is one of the only characters in the entire Sonic series that can actually _hurt_ Super Sonic, a feat otherwise mostly reserved for world-ending gods. He's sitting at the same table as _Solaris._ I know DB likes to pretend that Super forms are the same as Starman powerups, but they're really not.

We need a Akatsuki Blitzkampf matchup, any ideas?

I would not want Godzilla vs Gamera round 2 as Gamera has no reason to return and doesn't deserve to be destroyed as badly as he is Godzilla on the other hand would be awesome to see again. But first, we should explore their rogues Gallery (Examples: Destoroyah vs Iris, King Ghidorah getting a matchup, and Gyaos vs Skullcrawler) Edit: OK, NOW Gamera has good reason to return

Another problem I had with Sora vs Pit was them saying the great secret treasure was destroyed to not give Pit his strongest weapon. Even though it was most likely cuz they did not want it to be a mech fight but that's so fucked not letting a character fight at their full potential it's like not giving Link his magic armor. I would love to see Tails and Pit return but I can't think of good matchups

My personal list and reasons for 9 Battles that should get a rematch 1. Saitama v. Popeye- Saitama has essentially been buffed to all hell and back, essentially becoming stronger continuously as the fight continues, Saitama also has the ability to survive reality destruction (I think so anyway?) 2. Mob v. Tatsumaki- I sincerely think they underestimated Mob and this fight should be given a 2nd look 3. Ben 10 v. Green Lanturn- I think we all know why 4. Naruto v. Ichigo- Just because I want Seththeprogrammer and Clyde the Cyber Cuck to collab with the Death Battle crew 5. Dante v. Bayonetta- Theyve both been developed further and become a hell of a lot stronger, it's kinda needed eventually 6. Goku v. Superman- Even tho Superman would still win, it's still an interesting matchup to do especially with Ultra Instict now in the mix 7. Ragna v. Sol Badguy- Underrated Episode, clearly half assed even if its hilarious, but both guys stories have ended and many questions have been answered 8. Chuck Norris v. Seagate Sanshiro- My favorite Death Battle, nuff said 9. Kratos v. Spawn- This fight did not do a good enough job of showing how resilient Kratos is or how fucking powerful Spawn is

alot of these fights do need updates or certain characters got buffs. ultron now has infinity ultron, dr stranges feats from multiverse of madness, soras feats from 3, twilight sparkle from the movie and all of mlp, crash now has crash 4s feats, naruto and ichigo have new forms, captain marvel, natsu and ezra have the ending of fairy tail and beyond, zoro in his latest feats, bowser has the fury form while ganon has the calamity forms, dante with dvc 5, bayonetta is getting updated with the third game, charizard has gigantamax, majin buu thanks to the moro arc, lex luthor has the mother box. not sure how that fairs against tonys godsuit, pokemon battle royale but with gigantamax forms and mega evolutions, he man revalations has op feats, thor has his cosmic form which is also called thor force and the god blast now, kratos has the new games, spawn gained the power from the mother of all existence, and vegeta has ultra ego, super saiyan 4 limit breaker if you want to go with xeno version. and forced spirit fission would any of these changes change the outcome of the fights

Multiverse of Madness would be unnecessary since it only applies to the MCU's version of Strange and comic Strange is way beyond that. We've also seen the new stuff for Lex and Vegeta (unless if motherbox was after Lex vs Doom I don't remember), and I remember Thor force being excluded in Thor vs Vegeta, but otherwise, I can see all of this being interesting to reexplore even if it's not in a series of rematches. Hell, some of these characters are overdue for a return.

When it comes to Raphael Vs Bakugo (the best Raphael matchup imo), they can do something like they did with Leo against Jason Red Ranger, but I'd focus mainly on the 2003 TMNT series when it comes to thematic connections as they're closer. As for Michelangelo, I'd say Joseph Joestar

My 4 battles to see in a rematch season: 1. Luigi vs Tails (like Mario and Sonic, both combatants have only become stronger over time. Can Tails still outfox Luigi? Or is the Green L getting a W in a rematch? 2. Donkey Kong vs Knuckles (I honestly feel Knuckles got screwed in both the analysis and animation. I don’t know what was going on with the research team and how they came to a conclusion, but whoever wrote the script clearly hated Knuckles and went out of their way to humiliate them) 3. Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie (A joke fight done horribly wrong. This is death battle for crying out loud. I wanted bloody body parts and we got a cotton candy covered middle finger) 4. Eggman and Wily (another joke fight, though with a better punch line. My desire for a rematch is more from genuine curiosity

Ngl I'd like a TMNT multiversal battle royale. Like the black and white comics vs the 80s cartoon vs the 2003 (including fast foward) cartoon vs TMNT 2013 vs Rise. Honestly I think Rise kinda stomps everyone except 2003 crew, but would still be sick to see. I think it'd be crazy hard to animate tho.

They had a rival who they were very close to, Hashirama and Dante, but due to differences in morality and ideals they would fight and their rival would end up killing them. They both possess powers related to their bloodline, the Sharingan and the Devil Trigger, which they would awaken after severing connections to their loved ones, Madara ended his friendship with Hashirama and resolved to killing him and Vergil believed that his mother abandoned him and awakened his devil trigger. These powers would later get stronger with the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Sin Devil Trigger. They would fight time and time again against their rivals but their rival would always come out on top. They both have incredibly strong ideals that would destroy others around them and break off the connections they had, Madara's plan of unifying the world and Vergil's endless pursuit of power. They would both steal a part of someone's body to make themselves stronger, Madara stole some of Hashirama's flesh to get the Rinnegan and Vergil stole his son Nero's arm to get his sword Yamato back. They would both affect a young man and give them a special limb that they would later take back, Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan and Vergil gave Nero is his demon arm which he took back. They both have special weapons that they are famous for wielding, Madara's Gunbai and Vergil's Yamato. Their grand plan would involve a massive demonic tree that absorbs the life force of living creatures, The Ten-Tails Tree and The Qliphoth. This tree would produce something that would make them stronger, Madara sealed the Ten-Tails into himself and Vergil ate the Qliphoth Fruit. These are the connections I found in Reddit. I think it's a sick matchup and honestly pretty even if don't believe multiversal DMC

Well, multiversal dmc is a thing so...not really a fair fight. Also Vergil didn't give Nero his arm back, Nero regrew it himself. Vergil actually beat Dante a couple times. In there first fight when he was Nelo Angelo in DMC1, Once in the DMC3 Manga and in their first fight in DMC3. Vergil's Yamato and Madara's Gunbai are not really comparable. That is like saying Wonder Woman and Captain America have special weapons that they are both famous for, Wonder Woman's lasso & Captain America's shield.

That would b awesome n yes I’m sure that there r plenty of fans who want rematches n some of those fights deserve a rematch just to do it right

Imo I want a ben 10 vs green lantern rematch but ONLY because I want them to properly explain how hal beats ben and show him beating him properly instead of cutting off his hand with scissors. Hal wins, but I just want them to do the analysis and post fight explanation better

Indeed! I do think that the scissors thing could still work if it was used as a means of baiting the failsafe and then having Hal turn the scissors into something else faster than Ben could react. They'd have to establish Hal knowing about the failsafe, though.

When the annihilarg exploded that would've destroyed the universe the watch shapeshifted Ben constantly through forms so that he'd be able to survive and absorb it. In addition to that, even if it baited the Failsafe, the Failsafe would turn him into something Hal can't do anything to anyway. Alien X transcends time and space as well, travelling to the past before he became Alien X wouldn't work. Alien X would be aware of Hal's movement in time.

Any physical attacks can be negated by goop or the worst, any reality bs is alien x ,etc. Plus ben has 4 or 5 energy manipulation aliens. Time and space manipulation is again negated by clockwork or alien x. You get the point.

@@m.dekustextingstories None of Ben's aliens are fully indestructible though. The Worst can be choked/ suffocated. Diamondhead, Swampfire, Chromastone and any alien with high durability or regenerative abilities can still be worn down. Alien X, as well as most of Ben's other aliens, are susceptible to having their powers and life force absorbed.

it's more likely should be a rematch than a remaster yes some remasters does work but we want to see if the old character you can still beat the same one that beats them last time like Mario defeated Sonic and Cloud defeated link

As someone who likes green lantern vs Ben 10 I’d love to see a remaster, so that they can actually justify why gl wins. I have seen the db cast but that’s 50 minutes of talking with no script and people don’t find that fun. I trust their ability to explain the reasons why a certain character won, especial nowadays.

Could of sworn I commented here but I guess I didn’t. So about Sol vs Ragna, that is my most wanted match up at the time so it just ended up being very disappointing when I first saw that episode when it first came out so personally, I would love a remake… HOWEVER, I can understand that giving Ragna a different match up with Velvet might be a better choice in hindsight as they also have themes that parallel to each other and might even be a more fair fight but man, I just want Sol vs Ragna to have a good episode. It was to a point that I decided to write down a whole essay on how I would remake the fight, that is how much I want this remake. Well, regardless on what happens, wether it is Ragna vs Sol remake or Ragna vs Velvet, I just want my boy, Ragna, to get better treatment, regardless if he wins or loses.

You're gonna think I'm crazy but Charizard vs Rathalos should be a thing. At the outset it looks lopsided, but believe me I'm in fan groups of both franchises and there are a BUNCH of wide varying opinions on this. They have a lot in common: 1. being pseudo to sometimes full on mascots of their franchises 2 theyre both fire breathing "not" dragons, with access the elements outside typical draconic traits. Such as poison for Rathalos and electricity and grass for Charizard 3. They're both entry level or gateway characters to their franchises, sometimes serving as final bosses and they both provide the moolah for their franchises 4. Both are difficult in public reception as they're are debates of overexposure by the fans 5. Their both powerful but but by no means the most powerful in their franchises. Both monsters would get wrecked by the more powerful beasts of their franchise 6. Both have had a trainer or tamer named Red.

I don't think you're crazy at all. I don't have any interest in Charizard coming back, but if he had to, this would absolutely be my mu for him.

Going to chime in to confirm that Armada Starscream is a _very_ different character to G1 Screamer. Armada Starscream was an honourable and loyal warrior whose eventual clashes with Megatron were the result of Megatron being a shit boss and constantly putting Starscream down for little adequate reason. He gradually became more and more powerful (and came back from the dead twice) until he was strong enough to fight Primus, the Cybertronian god. I think the match would probably be better if they limited him to just his portrayal in Armada itself, both in terms of matchup (Armada is more sensible, while Energon doesn't really bring anything to the table besides his ghosting, and Cybertron cracks him completely), and connection (Armada gives him the most common ground with Zechs, while Energon has him spend most of the series as a brainwashed sycophant, and Cybertron reverts him to G1 personality traits, but keeps his amped power).

I would like to see a rematch between Bowser and Ganondorf. Bowser is one of the seven star children who have the power of the Stars. It is also implied in some Mario RPGs that the Stars are like gods. Therefore if Dracula can defeat Ganondorf, Bowser certainly can.

I remember a Death Battle Reddit ama where someone asked this question. They said something along the lines of Ghost Rider vs Lobo bringing up the idea that resistance to everything that isn't holy magic doesn't matter when your opponent's physical strength is so much stronger than yours and then asked if that could apply to Bowser vs Ganondorf, as well. IIRC, Ben's response was something along the lines of how they have different researchers that believe different things, and Ganon's NLF was probably one of them (though he admits that his memory was fuzzy cause the episode was three years old at that point).

Bruh your videos are on par with other big members in the vs community, honestly Master Chief vs Doom Slayer is probably the episode 200 special (Edit: Lucario is from gen 4, not gen 1)

One series that deserves to be on Death Battle is Beyblade I want to see Ryuga from Beyblade vs Lance from Pokemon

I have at least one fight from the previous (as of this writing) ten seasons, I could do more because of how long season two was but that's a whole other story anyway here are my personal picks of ten fights that I would like to see a rematch between characters along with a reason as to why. Season 1: Mike Haggar vs. Zangeif , I would like to see this fight redone as a wrestling match similar to Balrog vs. TJ Combo it would be really cool to see both characters use every trick in the book while wrestling commentary happens on the side. Season 2: not an easy pick here considering how long this season was but if I have to choose I would like to see a rematch between He-Man vs. Lion-O I think they could do a bit more research into Lion-O because I think he might have a strength feat that might be able to match He-Man's. Season 3: Shadow the Hedgehog vs Mew-Two I picked this fight for one reason above the others the animation is in desperate need of a remaster plus the team didn't even get to show off all of their research because the animator decided he wanted to stop doing fights and rather then go out on a high note, he went out like a wimp. Season 4: given the fact that both characters showed up in later seasons with new feats and better research it's time to go back to a clash between comics two most popular mythological characters Thor vs. Wonder Woman mostly because as the research showed off when the characters returned both of them were poorly represented in this fight especially poor Thor (I apologize if I come off as a woman hater or a fan boy with this selection I do like Wonder Woman as well as Thor). Season 5: I had a hard time deciding which fight to choose for this season but I decided to go with Kenshiro vs Jotaro Koju since I feel like out of all of the fights this one needs a bit more research done in terms of abilities since I think quite a few of them were neglected in this fight plus Kenshiro's personality doesn't seem quite right. Season 6: Ben 10 vs Green Lantern I have this sinking feeling in my gut that if I don't include this fight on the list people might kill me, this is another one where I think they could have done a better job of presenting their research when it comes to the outcome especially when it's very controversial. Season 7: For me the big one is Hulk vs Broly as I feel like they left out some of the biggest strength feats for the Hulk while relying way too much on scaling since there are feats of strength that the Hulk has demonstrated that would completely overshadow some of Broly's strongest feats (but that's just my thoughts). Season 8: Akuma vs Shao Kahn I went with this one mostly for the issue with the animation there just some parts where the animation just seems a bit off compared to other parts. I will add seasons 9 and 10 soon. Season 9: James Bond vs John Wick I chose this one mostly out of curiosity to see if chapter 4 could help tip the odds in John's favor but it's probably unlikely. Season 10: Bill Cipher vs Discord this fight is awesome in terms of everything they do but while I am a bigger fan of Gravity Falls rather then MLP FIM I really disagree with the outcome since I believe Discord should have had way more ways to win then Bill. Those are my choices and I hope at some point they become a reality.

Haggar or Zangief vs Incineroar would be cool.

I feel like Zeus vs Odin is the next big mythology matchup, so that one would likely happen first, but I'm not opposed to a mythology Thor vs Raiden. Something tells me that mythology is only gonna happen on DB once every few seasons, but ideally, it would be cool to see more mythology Death Battles in general. Here's hoping that we can go one season without Marvel, DC, Dragon Ball, Street Fighter, or Mortal Kombat, though.

I hate the outcome of Luigi vs Tails not because of the rule-set they used, but because of how clearly biased they were towards Tails. I’m not gonna deny that Luigi has literally ZERO chance against Archie Tails. That isn’t the problem. The problem is the fact that they used Archie Tails feats for Game Tails in the first place despite them being 100 percent non-canon and being completely conflicting for Tails’ backstory and history. You can’t deny that if they were to use SOLELY game feats for both Luigi AND Tails, Luigi would wipe the floor with the two-tailed fox. Also, I don’t care how weak you think Mario characters are, that Luigi large radish and Tails “”””””lifting””””” 10 tons feat comparison is complete bullshit.

In Death Battle's defense, the castle that Luigi can dropkick is only 2 tons while the radish was 9.9 tons. :)))) Jokes aside, I mostly agree with you here. The conclusion of Tails winning was really dumb and Archie Tails shouldn't have been used since it's a separate canon from the games. I wouldn't call them directly biased towards Tails, though, as they mostly poked fun at him (even calling him "Sonic's stalker"), but I digress. I don't deny Luigi beating game Tails at all.

At most Tails should be planet level. So yeah, Luigi W against Tails. It doesn’t matter, because the matchup just kinda sucks and is a worst Mario Vs Sonic. Luigi has Pac-Man or Shaggy and Tails has Coco or Diddy anyways.

Starscream in Armada is the most different Starscream out of all of them, so anything you think you know about Starscream is non applicable to him.

Should shadow come back only for a Shadow vs mewtwo remake but outside of that he doesn't really have any good mu's I hear his archie version has one but idk. Vegeta on the other hand, one mu is all I want the combatant has a similar personality, it has high scale, and is pretty thematic. It's Viral from Gurren Lagann.

I don't mind the idea of remasters but I'm just more interested in new series altogether or even just new portions of series that haven't gotten a spotlight, an obvious example being Final Fantasy. We've gotten 4 (technically) FF episodes and every one of them has been from FF VII, which I am just sick of at this point. To answer the question, I feel it'd be better if Death Battle explored new matchups for prior fighters rather than straight-up remaster most of the show. It makes sense to remaster Boba vs. Samus, Mario vs. Sonic and Link vs. Cloud because they all have reasons beyond the old videos being a bit jank to remaster them. Boba vs. Samus was the first-ever Death Battle, Mario vs. Sonic's remaster was the 100th episode and the most iconic game rivalry of all time that benefitted from Death Battle moving away from compositing characters and Link vs. Cloud was the first 3D battle which was known for its jank. Other battles though? I think the problem you run into over time is you negate the importance of the older episodes since there's no reason to watch them if they just make an updated version. That being said, to re-explore fighters but in new matchups is much more interesting. A good example is when they did Thor vs. Vegeta. Vegeta at the time really only had the original anime and manga to look at and since GT's biggest additions were gained through outside help and Heroes wasn't a thing yet? It meant he was kind of limited in kit but since they moved away from compositing characters? There's a real concern that his fight with Shadow might not yield interesting results or at least nothing that would fit for a full reanalysis. Thor though was a better opponent, thanks to comics never stopping there was more to look over and it helps that the last fight they gave him, while entertaining, was clearly rushed and with Vegeta? I mean there was so much more to look at in terms of the Super anime and manga and thus it made for a fun fight. I think what I'd be more down for is maybe if Death Battle stole a bit from TFS and did a commentary series running through older episodes. Basically think video versions of the Road to 100 blogs but with updated info and the joy of being able to cringe alongside the creators.

From those characters, I can think of some other mu’s for some of them. Mikey has Logan due to The Last Ronin vs Old Man Logan and Tomas Wayne from Flashpoint and Raph had Inosuka (I forgot how his names spelled) from Demon Slayer Spawn has both Venom and Ghost Rider and both are great mu’s for him I heard of Chun Li be either Min Min or Cinderace but MinMin vs Cinderace is better for both imo For some reason I chose and still like Scorpion vs Ghost Rider even tho it’s a stomp for GR Not great but Kirby vs Stich, but a much better one is Kirby vs Mew Iron Man doesn’t need to comeback but an alt version of him I want in is IronMan from Armored Adventures vs Blue Beetle Darth Vader has Springtrap and it is a good mu and nothing can change my mind I know of Yang vs Infernape and it’s not Bakugo so that’s a plus Not good but Classic Megaman vs Aang Joker has Green Goblin but There’s also Junko Enoshima but The BatMan Who Laughs has his own lost that I know nothing of Scout vs Jonsey(I think that’s how it’s spelled) cause it’s actually a good mu and decently popular Heard of Erza vs Ironman but idk I personally what SubZero vs Iceman(Marvel) and it’s a pretty good mu for both Shredder vs Ra’s Al Ghul, need I say more? Sephiroth vs Akechi is not only good but better then Virgil from what I heard, also a close one Sora vs Lebron James cause funny but there is also Sora vs Pibby but nothing other then the trailer sadly I heard of both Nightwing as Robin or Daredevil vs Leonardo Idk why I chose Ultron vs Grid but I like it Ben 10 vs Jaden Yuki probably is the best for both no matter what and have to many connections to each other

I completely forgot about Shredder vs Ra's Al Ghul. I've heard about that matchup and I think it does use a specific version of Shredder, so that's nice. I did also hear that Iron Man has a Kamen Rider opponent (I think it's Iron Man vs Kamen Rider Combine or something) but otherwise, I agree that Tony doesn't need a comeback at this point.

I guess since it's back on my mind I might as well share my thoughts on the other matchups you mentioned. Last Ronin vs Old Man Logan is cool since it's using VERY specific versions of both characters. Spawn does have lots of good matchups against GR, Venom, Demi-Fiend, etc., but GR is probably my favorite opponent for Spawn (I'm a basic bitch I know). Chun Li vs Min Min or Cinderace make little sense, but I recently found a preferred opponent for Chun in that of Blaze Fielding from Streets of Rage, and since Chun Li quit being a cop in SF6, the connections are a lot more interesting. GR vs Scorpion, Kirby vs Stitch, Megaman vs Aang, and Erza vs Iron Man all speak for themselves lol. Kirby vs Mew sounds pretty interesting. What are the connections for them? WHY THE FUCK DOES SPRINGTRAP HAVE SO MANY MATCHUPS GEEEEEEEEEEEZ??? I don't like Vader vs Springtrap tho. Junko is the Danganronpa girl with the giant pink pigtails, right? If yes, then sure, she can be Joker's opponent if they want him to come back without Emperor Joker. Yang vs Infernape is already better than Yang vs Bakugo and I'm pretty sure it isn't that much better but I'll take it lol. Sub-Zero vs Iceman is uhhhhhhhhh, well, Subby is really hard to find a good opponent for if nothing else. I'm not sure if I'd say Sephiroth vs Akechi is close unless if we're using Dissidia scaling, which I'd argue is considered outside help for characters not from FF1 (at least if we're going off of the arguments I've seen), cause I'm pretty sure that Persona 5 consistently gets multiversal. Ultron vs Grid....not sure who Grid is but it already sounds cooler than Ultron vs Brainiac. I just rewatched Nemesis Bloodryche's matchups for every combatant video and I see why Ben 10 vs Jaden Yuki is a great mu so yeah.

Both can change their appearances and and gain any ability that they want(Copy for Kirby and Transform for Mew which can also use every move in the game). Death Vader vs Springtrap: Both are terrible father to their kids. They both went on a killing spree which slowly made them turn into who they are now when they were human(Anakin Skywalker and William Afton). Both of their human parts were close to dying but were put into metal armors to keep they alive. They both appear and multiple canon medias with them "always coming back" in some way. Both fought with their son's which became the main protagonist of their series and having to fight them both(Luke and Michael). Iceman vs Subzero: Both are ice users that are apart of team and are considered some of the strongest on their teams with them also have a special part to them(a Mutant for Iceman and Grandmaster for Subzero) (couldn't find much but I just like the mu due to the potential for it) Armored Adventures Ironman vs Blue Beetle: Both are armored teens that got into some accident with led them to having powers. Both of their armors have some sort of AI within the suit to help them. They try to live normal life without having their work duties getting in the way of their life or school. They are also part of a team consisting or other teens. Ultron vs Gird: Both are emotionaless robot out to end humanity seeing them as lesser beings. Both were created by someone/thing(Tony for Ultron and the Motherbox and Cyborg for Grid). They also have many versions of them. Both also have something to do with another body.(Ultron tried to make Vision as a new body and Grid was a version of Cyborg)

to elaborate on slayer stats I have heard universal to multiversal. And I don't think chief needs to be done that dirty of a match. keep it at doom guy. (I am aware they are the same person) just up the animation and update chief and do a re-run of doomguy, I'll be happy. but for the love of god I hate it when people say "doomguy should've won because of * imsert new SLAYER feats here * like. It's a stomp if it's chief vs doomguy (chief W and way closer) and it's a utter deletion it it's chief vs slayer (slayer W and obvious) just give slayer someone good like the emperor of man from warhammer 40k.

To answer your sora vs pit question, they didn't bring it up mainly due to the fact that phosphora wasn't at 100 percent when pit fights her for she was fighting Thanos for a good while and left her drained which she admitted to pit. The other thing is that she was powering the whole lighting temple so to say that she was at her best is an understatement for phosphora was at 25 to 20 percent of her power.

I was mainly referring to Pit's speed though. Keep in mind that, as I pointed out, Pit still had to dodge lightning that came from Phosphora's fight with Thanatos. I did forget about her not being at her full power while in the Lightning Temple, though, so there's that, at least.

You'd be surprised as to how much bigger of a stomp it is compared to Sora vs Pit while also not being very thematic, either, but at least it has good banter potential. Also, it is better than Kratos vs Dante, at least, but then again what Kratos matchup isn't better?

@@staraptorflock3661 Oh it's a H E A V Y stomp. Kratos is considered somewhere between universal-multiversal depending on what you buy and Pit is like country level. Pit does have speed and hax, but it's nowhere near enough. I do like Dark Pit vs Bass a lot, though, even if it's also a stomp.

Yeah, I was told that in Persona 3, the protag canonically dates all of the girls at one point. That's not the case for P4 or P5 (unless Royal's marketing makes Rem x Kasumi canon), but still.

Okay if they were to remake Luigi vs Tails, they wouldn't use anything from Archie, they would go strictly by the games and long story short Tails loses badly and even if they did he was only able to do that after combining with thousands of other Tails so that's not something he can normally do that's kind of an outliner

I would e down for Saitama vs Popeye getting a rematch eventually because I feel like it is a bit more debatable than it was when the episode came out, and I would like to see DeadPool comeback for DeaPool vs Waluigi (DeadPool kills the Marvel Universe vs Waluigi vs Super Smash Brothers) it’s thematic because the normal versions of them are goofballs that only get a little serious and seem to really like dancing but the versions of them that I picked are serious killing machines that kill anyone and anything in their paths and I think that it’s pretty close too.

19:50 Masterchief beats Doom*guy* as in classic Doom (aka Doom to Doom 64) Masterchief gets *utterly obliterated* by Doom*slayer* . Slayer is a universal if not Universal+ tier character. Hell, Masterchief is probably on par if not only slightly stronger than the Marauder type enemy seen in Doom Eternal. I'm a halo fan, and even I have to admit Chief gets stomped

It’s a not bad idea but if it doesn’t end in Superman Vs Goku again for shits and giggles I couldn’t care less about a season like that

This has probably been said already but DoomSlayer and Doom Guy are litterally the same person. The Slayer and Master Chief have both grown quite alot. Though honestly id rather see the Quake hero show up instead.
