I think a great Match Up for Leona could be against Marvel the Leopard from Bloody Roar. Orphaned children adopted by leaders of military forces, trained under their wings learning to fight from them, and have berserker states that they learned to control later on [Leona learning to control her Orochi Blood, while Marvel has control over Leopard form], and of course originated from fighting games. The big problem here is... Bloody Roar is a dead franchise... God damnit, Konami.

OMG THAT'S SO TRUE LMAO

I will note that Bunnie starts off fairly mundane but by the time she gets her later upgrades, she becomes _crazy_ powerful. She scales to base form Sonic. That said, this gets a little downplayed for a few reasons- For one thing, Bunnie's role as the team's powerhouse gets muddled later on, in the run, because they couldn't stop adding more super-strong characters to the core cast. For another, Ian Flynn isn't exactly the best at keeping power consistent. Most writers aren't, but his work on Sonic is very "Plot first, everything else second." But generally, Bunnie is very powerful and can go toe-to-toe with Sonic in base form. I also don't know that Scourge actually would have an easy time with Albedo. I'm not hugely familiar with how Ben 10 works, but the Sonic fandom overrate Scourge's capabilities by a wide margin. He doesn't have half the feats that Sonic does (for example, no Ultra form, only had a Super form once, and _never_ fought a Super-level opponent), and while he does scale to _some_ of what Sonic does, a lot of Sonic's crazier feats come from his actual lived experiences. He became that powerful because he's constantly been improving with every fight, something Scourge hasn't had to do. All those unimaginably powerful villains that Sonic had to overcome either don't exist or are pacifists who never fight anyone in Scourge's world. Scourge's 'nemesis', Kintobor, is a vet. Just... a normal vet. His one outing in his Super form saw him deal only superficial damage to everyone he fought, several of whom had no powers at all, and Sonic managed to evade him long enough to get into his head and trick him into powering down. He's not actually that skilled of a fighter, either. He's completely helpless without his powers, and gets absolutely stomped by street-level characters. Why is that relevant? Because his Super form doesn't heal him back to 100% when it fades, it does the opposite, rendering him entirely powerless and physically exhausted. Scourge also isn't very bright and really likes to brag about how powerful he is, so someone as smart and manipulative as Albedo could very well trick him into powering down, at which point literally anything in the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix playlist can kill him. Sure, in terms of raw numbers, Scourge probably has the edge, but when the person using those numbers is an egomaniacal dumbass who has canonically been defeated by being baited into nerfing himself, it's less cut and dry than you might think.

Here is one match up that I don’t see much people talk about but I do really want to see. Kagura (Blazblue) vs Leo (Guilty Gear). Both leader figures that have a very similar fighting style with there Guile like moves and stances and both potentially have survivors guilty after surviving a war. I know people probably would prefer Kagura vs Johnny but I think Kagura vs Leo just fits more.

As a pokemon fan 4 other pokemon death battles I'd like to see are Gary vs Seto Kaiba (YugiOh) , Lance vs Ryuga (Beyblade), and Kyogre vs Chaos (Sonic), and Gehtsis vs Masquade (Bakugan)

And the Lady one is more fair, really Seras is gonna eat Lady alive, so here down there I have the Counter argument. Vlad III Berserker (Fate) vs. Father Balder: Powerful entities summoned into the modern era [Vlad III to be in the Holy Grail War and Balder for his Eye of the World], fight using spears they can manifest from several constructs, and got possessed into becoming more villainous beings [Dracula and Father Baldur respectfully]. Lady vs. Imca (Valkyrie Chronicles): (Female protagonists that debuted in their franchises third entries, who crossed paths before in the first Project X Zone, use powerful and versatile BFGs that are designed to cover all areas from cannons, rifles, and attached blades, fight with amazing acrobatics despite their big weapons, carry other smalls weapons like grenades for support, and possess a hatred of beings that cause their misery [demons and valkyrias respectfully]. Shame Valkyrie Chronicles is never brought is versus ideas, outside of Selvaria. But this is extremely great, and pretty fair. Vega vs. Zhang He (Dynasty Warriors): Henchmen to powerful overlords who wear long ponytails, are obsessed with beauty and elegance, fight using metal claws, are extremely narcissistic, are notorious for their hammy tendencies, have dance motifs [flamenco with Vega and ballet for Zhang He], and are so prideful one could think they're in love with themselves. Furthermore, while Vega is usually extremely aggressive towards opponents that he sees as ugly, while Zhang He has a notorious code of honor, and praises those he deems suitable. Hopefully you like this one. As Vega is also a character I'd like to see in DB... And I don't want Vega to fight Baraka.

Villains who are masters of chi/ spiritual energy who both fight their 'brothers' successor (po/korra). In fact, boths descent into power lust comes from conflict with their brothers, kai wants to use chi for power since he's a general, but oogway stops him, insisting oogway betrayed him. Unalaq wanted to use chi/spiritual energy to become chief and open both spirit portals, as he like kai believes this energy is the path to peace for them, as they have been blinded by it, and again, insists his brother tanraq betrayed him for not embracing the spirits...again just like Kai. One matchup for two returning series I REALLY WANT (think of it as my dream match) is all for one vs necrozma. The connections are: (1) two pitch-black, cruel, cold-hearted antagonistic beings (2) who are seen as leaders (necrozma being worshipped as a god throughout ultra space while all for one is viewed as a leader by the league of villains) (3) who terrify many beings with their mere presence (hero society and the ultra megalopolis respectively) (4) who steal things for their own benefit (quirks and light respectively) (5) who can gain a higher level of power after meeting unique conditions (AFO gaining powerful quirks for his arsenal and necrozma absorbing large quantities of light) (6) that have a one-use ultimate attack (the ultimate combination and the light that burns the sky/heaven scorching light of destruction). Music could be cool and necrozma wins. Happy days.

I don't think there were any arguments. I just saw some people saying "pretty soon, Blazblue will be nerfed down to subsonic with all of these debunks". It doesn't make much sense.

Both grew up as troubled teens who couldn’t control their powers due to being extraordinarily powerful, and were abused. Albedo vs Scourge is an interesting matchup for a Ben 10 matchup though for me the dream Ben 10 matchup is Rath vs Incineroar. I feel with how wild of a character Rath is Deathbattle could get away with being JUST Rath. The matchup connections are they're both anthropomorphic tiger creatures that have a wrestling theme. Not only are they both heavily inspired by wrestling, but with Rath being a galactic hero and Incineroar literally being the HEEL pokemon this also could be a Face Vs Heel Death Battle though that part can be debatable with how Rath acts at times.

Frieza VS Pyron is a great MU for both of them tbh, speaking as a DB fan it just works for them both given the connections Also where did you hear Frieza was being redeemed? His recent actions in the manga practically re-established him as the primary big bad of the verse, given his connections with the nefarious Heeters (rich bastards who do business with the funni tyrant)

I remember hearing it from Leopold during the DB Super manga at the time. Not the best source, but either way, nice to know that they never went through with it. It was never a connection that supported the mu at all as much as it was "if this thing about character A is true, then you can argue that this thing about character B works as a connection, as well". Still glad you like the mu either way.

I have another match-up for Sin, but it's against Seth, the protagonist of my book series, Discordia. Which of course would more than likely never happen since Discordia doesn't have a visual medium for them to use footage from and, unless it suddenly becomes popular, it is way, WAY too obscure to be used on Death Battle. Plus, even I will admit as his creator, Seth gets absolutely destroyed by Sin. It's just the match-up out of the three I thought of for Seth that has the most connections.

Awesome video, loving a lot of the matchups, but at 15:5, the information about Frieza becoming a good guy is actually false. They are definitely writing him more so to be inspired by the protagonists in order to improve upon his own skills and power but by no means do they plan to make him a good guy. Also to toss my two cents in, the matchups I'd like to see would be Guyver vs Devilman and Tetsuo from Akira vs Elaine Reed from Genocyber. I was gonna suggest Asta from Black Clover vs Devilman, but I feel like Asta's feets are far beyond Devilman's so it'd be too much of a stomp, but maybe Asta vs Dante from DMC as while I haven't played any of the games, I got a friend who does and from what I've seen from the DMC series Dante would seem like a good fit.

If you ask me nobody thinks of the digimon Shoutmon fighting Jibanyan from Yo-kia Watch, Kung Fu Panda's Crane fighting Blaziken, Cynder the Dragon fighting Starlight Glimmer from MLP as much as they should when you get to thinking about those fights the really do make sense. At least to me.

Frieza versus pyron by your description would be pretty close. if it wasn't for friezas new transformation, Black frieza. 10 years of training and he was able to one shot Goku and Vegeta in their strongest forms

Why is it that every time i see a comment that has to describe a new Dragonball thing it always comes off as the most fanficy thing ever? I'm not trying to insult you or anything, but '"this character has a form so powerfull it can oneshot the main characters at their best" just sounds like something out of a bad fanfic.

Why Kai vs Morro. Whichever character you may prefer, Tai Lung vs Morro remains one of my favourite matchups.Both Strived to earn a specific title after being taken in by wise old masters of martial arts. After being denied this title, both were angry, but while Morro resolved to prove himself through peaceful means of a quest, Tai Lung took his rage out by trying to forcibly take the title. Both then had to wait many years until they could challenge the people who went on to take their titles. However, they contrast with the fact that Morro forgave Wu in his final moments, as he gave Wu the means by which to bring Lloyd back, While Tai Lung never forgave Shifu, even after he apologised. This is shockingly thematic, to the point where I almost submitted this for the champions ballot.

Okay, okay. Hear me out. Bowser Junior... Versus Stewie Griffin.

How about Battletoads VS BMFM? The question is who should fight the cyborg Gentle Giant that Modo.

13:54 in terms of attack potency, personality and overall skill they are fairly close. That being said, it is a stomp for Deimos as he should at least scale to 50% of Thanatos' first form, and Thanatos should scale to around Zeus' level considering he is the only Primordial God to survive the Primordial War. Deimos' raw strength would overwhelm Savage regardless of how good his lightsaber is, and Savage's limited use of the force would only piss Deimos off. Savage might have the speed feats however as he should scale to FTL if not relativistic (reacts to and reflects blaster bolts), but as soon as Deimos breaks Savage's guard it's gg.

It's not as much of a stomp as say Omniman vs Homelander at least, as I'm pretty sure with their comparative skill and Savage's better speed that, Savage would at least get some glancing blows in. But, Deimos is the brother of Kratos, he can take hits from a suppressed Kratos and briefly fought someone who is at least in the same ball-park as Zeus. Imo, Deimos wins 9/10 times, Savage might get *a* win simply because Deimos has shown that his durability doesn't scale *that* high, as one bitch slap from full power Thanatos killed him like any it would other mortal, so if a better skilled combatant like say, Dooku, was fighting Deimos he'd probably win through sheer skill and speed (that is if you believe the lightsaber is capable of cutting someone on Deimos' level). Tl;dr its either a cool dbx or a 3 minute stomp with Savage on the defense the entire time
