Were such notices prevalent throughout Britain then you might have a point, but these posters are confined to underground train stations. The bigger question is why is it deemed necessary to display such posters? If some female passengers were not being made to feel uncomfortable by the stares of men then such posters would not be necessary. As a polite reminder to consider others I see very little wrong with this poster, it's men's behaviour that is the problem, not the poster. I'm guilty of this behaviour, in my younger years I stared at a woman from a distance as she was dressing a window, I know I made her feel uncomfortable because she left the window for a moment & a man appeared & gave me a warning look. I look back on it & think 'what was I doing?'

@@dobr4481 Its not a polite reminder, it’s a crime apparently. Did you see the rest of it? A third party can anonymously report you staring to the police and you will be arrested for sexual harassment. Also, it’s not ‘men’ that’s a problem, people watching it’s not a crime it’s perfectly natural. My ex-wife and I would sit and watch people go about their business all the time. Then again you guys passed a law a few days ago allowing the government to read your encrypted messages and access all your photos in your phones so maybe it’s just a cultural thing. 🤷‍♂️

You're assuming that women dress to attract men. Maybe some do. Does this entitle men to stare at them & make them feel uncomfortable? There's a difference between flirting or catching a person's eye & deliberately staring at someone in the confined space of an underground train carriage.

You victimise too readily, I have noisily told a man to get away from my ass in a queue and told him he's he's not my boyfriend Be it at a funeral or a nightclub, people know exactly what they are doing when they decide what to wear. You seem shy of standing up for yourself like i do. Let the rest of us express ourselves on our terms.
