We are in the SAME boat! I am a 25 year old male that has gone gray prematurely. It is a genetic thing. My grandpa, my mom, all went gray under age 30. It just happens. Some people think its strange but it happens. I have like 45% gray hairs it seems, but very very dark brown bordering on jet-black is my natural color before going gray. If you head over to Sally Beauty and buy a Level 4N "Bold intense brown" "Dark natural brown" And dye your hair that, AND let it sit in your hair for the full 30-45 minutes, it will look incredibly natural. You never dye your hair jet black. I got a little adventurous and recently died mine a "Dark chocolate brown". It looks extremely similar to my natural color with the ever-so slightest tint. But because I have short hair, it looks very good. Women are actually very impressed with my dye-job and tell me how natural it looks. Go with a "4N/dark natural brown/bold intense brown" If you bye a developer, get the least strong kind. That is a level 10. Level 10 developer is for people who strictly want to add color to their hair and not bleach or replace it. These are the lessons that hair stylists told me. I was terrified to dye my hair, but I'm glad I did it now. It just looks like me.....without gray hairs, just my normal dark color

I mean, as the name suggests, there might be differences in the amount of pockets, but other than that are there any further differences (like fit, looks and material). Also which do you prefer and why?

I am going to have to officially disagree! I am a 25 year old male that has gone gray prematurely. Some people think its strange and surprising, but it just happens! It is genetic. My grandpa, my mom, her side of the family all went gray under age 30. I have like 45% gray hair. People actually DON'T think it looks good. I dislike my gray hair. I don't believe it makes me look mature or manly. On my naturally round shaped face, it looks premature and unprofessional. It was actually middle aged women I work with who made the recommendation! Before going gray, my natural color is a very very dark brown bordering on jet-black. Women at Super Cuts were the ones who taught me what hair dye I should use. Level 4N "Bold intense brown" "Dark natural brown" is the hair dye I use and everybody tells me how natural and amazing it looks. My sister told me she forgot that I ever had gray hair or dyed my hair because the dye looks SO natural. My natural brown-black hair color always got so many compliments. Some guys really don't look good with gray hair. At least not until past 50 years old. Some people think that "mature" "Daddy" "Gray hair aged like fine wine" type of look is attractive for men but as a man, I will tell you that it isn't that simple! Some guys don't look good gray! Some guys don't have that "Handsome/mature/Daddy" aura about them. I know I don't. If men want to, they SHOULD dye their hair!

Also, i smoked a lot. That's when i got my grey hairs approximately 6 years ago. I'm still going grey and my hair is 40-45% grey/white maybe because I still stress a lot everyday. I'm really afraid of using hair dyes because (I researched) that they can cause baldness, skin infections or life threatening diseases. This is a men's channel but I'm not at the stage where i need to dye my hair to cover the greys. I did color my hair (my natural color) just to see, and it looked fine. But I only have 2, 3 grey hairs (I swear!) and it doesn't make that much of a difference BUT I will agree that if you are greying and color your hair, you need to maintain it diligently. My mom colors her hair now that it's greying and you can easily tell when she is overdue for a treatment. So I know first hand the madness that I will have to deal with in the future Fortunately my natural color is black, and I can just buy a few bottles of hair dye and keep it at home. Problem solved.

I'm 57 and in good shape and feel like I generally look good, but I hate when my hair comes in gray. When I see a picture of myself with my gray, almost white hair I cringe. I take the time to get regular hair cuts and keep it short as well as getting it dyed at the same time. For other men here reading the posts, I'm sure some are perfectly ok with gray hair and I thought I was too until the day I was watching a drone video and I was in the picture. Wow, what a shocker. For those who are ok with it, I say great, but if you are wondering what to do or having doubts about your gray, try to get some pictures of yourself and look closely at them. You may want to dye your hair at that point.

I’m just trying to avoid the too black fake look. My hair is black naturally, so not sure what color to use. Probably will have a professional do it at first to try and get it right.

I must come to your rescue, my brother.

@@onliner10000 really appreciate the detailed response! I still haven’t dyed it, but I’ll look into what you said when I do. When I do it, I’m looking for the most natural look. Whatever is the best way to do that on natural black hair, that’s what m going for. I’ve got Decent amount of grey at this point. But yea, I’ll try what you described. Thanks again!

@@ChicagoJ351 You are welcome! More FYI: When you go to a Super Cuts, or Great Clips or any other hair dresser, they are likely to give you instructions similar to what I said.. What I told you are the instructions told to me! Super Cuts or Great clips in your location might not do permanent hair dye for men. I was told that their treatment is this temporary hair color treatment that fades out some of the appearance of gray hairs. They don't just eliminate them. I had to put on the bravery and attempt to dye the hair myself (With my Mom's help the first two times) You may be extremely terrified at first to dye it, but if or when you figure it out and buy the best dye, you will be doing it yourself happily! It's a liberating feeling, in my opinion. I know my hair has the appearance of being jet-black but it really isn't. As I'm sure you're aware, dying your hair jet-black is not a good idea. Dying your hair Level 4NN "Dark Intense Brown" or "Dark Natural Brown" with no higher than a level 10 developer is the highest quality of home hair-dyes you will get! "Zotos AGEbeautiful4NN Dark Intense Brown Permanent Liqui Creme Hair Color" With level 10 developer is the highest quality! I can only find it at a Sally Beauty store! Ask a hair stylist if they agree! They probably will! Also, when you mix the hairdye, it WILL have a Crème brûlée color IN THE MIXING DISH!! THAT IS NORMAL! IT WILL NOT DYE YOUR HAIR CREME BRULEE! When it seeps into your hair it WILL make it your natural color! This is the way to go! Here's another lesson: This should put your fears at ease!!! If you have naturally very dark hair, you really can't actually replace the color of your hair if that makes sense. This is the good thing for men like us. Very very dark hair is very resistant to change. Meaning a dark bold brown, + level 10 developer and leaving it in longer before showering, can't actually **replace** the natural dark color of your hair. It does what we want, and deposits and adds the very very dark brown-black color that your natural hair already is. Does that make sense? The larger problem that women have with dying hair is trying to replace the color that their hair is. It is generally not recommended to attempt to make very dark hair a light or blond color. Lightening your hair is very hard and women have difficulty doing that. But dying naturally dark (but graying) hair it's natural dark brown color won't make make it look botched, but it will look natural! Don't be scared! I was at first, too! Please let me know hoe it goes!

The problem with older men dying their hair to hide the grey is as we all age we loose the collagen in our face. The lack of collagen makes the face harden and lines appear, dying your hair can make you look harder and older (depending on the person). Another point is most caucasian people don't have hair that is all the same colour (or color), dying it causes a block colour look which can look artificial. I can understand a young man dying it for both aesthetics and greying, but there comes a time in all our lives where you have to face facts and embrace the grey.

It's only hair and doesn't last. Have fun and enjoy it while you have it. As far as greying... if for the stage or screen yes. If you are a regular guy, embrace the grey/balding or simply cut it off. A slick head is easier to maintain than a weekly dye job.

Men or women can do whatever they want with their personal esthetics and style. If someone wants to never show their grey hairs that’s the way they personally like to show themselves. If you someone is against covering their grays that’s totally cool, but not everyone is going to feel the same way as you, so just let them do what they want. At the end of the day guys or girls it’s your body and you can do whatever you like if it makes you feel good. Just know whichever way you’re a beautiful person inside and out no matter how you look.
