I would like to see, Mainoo & Rice dictating a forward lines of Gordon, Palmer, Saka & Watkins. Palmer and Warkins both close to each other and Gordon & Saka attacking from left & right.

If kane is injured he shouldnt start were easy to defend against like this. I dont care how many goals hes scored not fit not playing

Pearce is talking shite and defending the indefensible. Kane couldn’t hold onto the ball when it was given to him, the Swiss defender had him in his pocket. When the ball did get into the box on a couple of occasions, Kane was nowhere to be seen to finish it off. What’s worse he plodded about the match like a guy with glue on his boots. Ffs stop making excuses, he’s washed up and should not start the next game. Get someone on with energy, something Kane seems to be woefully lacking.

Washed up is strong. He just scored 45 goals for Munich 😂 He’s having a bad tournament, probably due to holding a knock.

@@simonshotter8960 your probably right. But He hasn’t had a good end to the season and he hasn’t performed at all in any of the internationals so far. Yep he’s scored two goals, but who’s to say Watkins or Toney wouldn’t have done better.

Kane IS NOT a lone striker Gareth. Either support him or rest him. Dont f*ck up the amazing work you've done over the last 8 years. Kane coming on for the last 30mins is a lovely option to have and will also allow him that extra yard he is clearly needing at this moment. We have a plethora of options. I’m sorry Pearce….but what you say in the first 30 seconds is absolute tosh! Pearce is absolutely rimming Kane. Saka pulled back two great balls yesterday in quick succession and literally nobody was there, not even your golden boy Kane. Where tf was he? Then when he says “Playing too much in the build”. If anyone shouldn’t be it’s Kane yet Pearce says “maybe Kane”. Is he f*kin drunk? The problem is Shitegate and the media look at names before system. We aren’t having shots on target…the question should first be why, then how can we find a solution, then who will give me that solution. You either tell Kane to stay up or drop him ffs! The left side is also absolutely appalling. Foden should be dropped for a proper winger on the left side. Kane should be dropped if he’s always going to be out of position. Well thats BS .... Kane is still joint top scorer & respected captain by the players. Remember before the tournament all the nut jobs were panicking about the defense. Now they are moaning about the forwards , none of these teams are easy except ( Scotland....lol) I've watched England since the late 1960's and remember Sir Alf taking off Bobby Charlton in Mexico 1970 when we were 2-0 up against West Germany to save his legs for the semi. Also Martin Peters only 2 subs back then. The game swung and we lost 3-2 in extra time. We have had many lows and a few highs since 1966 .Gareth has been our best manager results wise since Sir Alf whether you like him or not. I laughed when pre tournament there was talk of the united job, he is not going to be a top premiership manager when he leaves England but he has helped set up the national team for his successor whether its next week or after the world cup.....So get behind him whatever happens.....

England were never in control of that game, but great pens

Foden and Bellingham had to get deep and collect the ball and start something. The players behind them isn't able to play out well enough.

Kane isn't fit too static everyone can clearly see. Maybe put him on with 20 mins to go. He needs to change his boots i needed sun glasses. But SG wont drop him which limits the player in midfield with the ball looking for movement up front from the number 9. Kane is a passenger unless ball out wide and crosses into the box. playing two strikers would be better like watts and tooney for England but SG so predictable with his base play is laughable. They need to put pressure on van dyke turn him or the dutch defence will play out and control like he does at liverpool and dominate.

I just think Father Time has caught up with Kane, sometimes it just happens overnight - not his fault but Gareth should see this himself

England just need to pass the ball quicker rather than taking the extra 2/3 passes and have more men in the box when a cross comes in..simples

He should start but taken off after 75th minutes if he is not performing

Kane hasn't been helped by a lack of service but I would drop him as he's clearly not fully fit and struggling with some kind of injury. England have a habit of playing their star players even if they're not fully fit as was the case with Rooney many years ago.

I agree service has been shocking. Last game they say saka crossed. But he probably wasn't expecting that following how saka played first 4 games

We’ve had crosses that were passed back to defenders rather than kicked into the box…. This has happened a few times…

Harry Kane has been invisible for every game, we're playing with 10 men. He's slow, not pressing, never there for crosses, and missed at least 2 headers which were easy. Toney, or Watkins have to start! Kane knows he's not playing well, and a good captain should put England first, and insist that the best striker play, over his own ego of wanting to play!

Kane had 9 touches in the whole match, that's hardly someone too involved "in the build"!! The first Saka cross across the 6 yard box, where Kane barely made it into the box, was absolutely criminal and needs to be called out. Kane was stood next to Akanji when Saka started his run, the whole Swiss back 3 got to the edge of the 6 yard box to cover, but Kane was out near the edge of the box, making zero effort to get there! That's his job to be there, FFS! He was absolutely awful, he has been all tournament, and if we're honest, he hasn't been very good for England for years, we've had the same discussions about him at the last 2 tournaments. He's come through with goals in the end in 2021 and 2022, but he needs to offer more than 2 tap ins in 5 games. He's the laziest footballer I've ever seen. Watkins should start and add some real pace and energy, with Toney off the bench, Kane as a last resort! Obviously, that isn't gonna happen... Hopefully Shaw can start on the left vs Netherlands and make some overlapping runs, which he's so good at.

You don’t drop your best goalscorer. He already scored 2 goals too btw. Games will be even more difficult in the later stages of the tournament. You need the best players on the field.

Then bring him on for the second half because we aren't going to score and hold a lead 😂. Not the way we do things is it. Let Watkins/Toney/Palmer/Gordon pull their defence around and grind them down. Get at them and press for once in unison. Kane will have a well needed advantage coming on for the second half when it matters.

All this Blah Blah Blah... it depends on what the Manager is asking him and is he executing it correctly. Maybe it is the nature of the tactic that makes him quiet, doesn't necessarily mean he is not doing his role. People need to start watching the game in a more broader view instead of small stats.

Kane is deceptive, he is even slower than he looks😮😮 The "you can't drop Kane" argument is ludicrous, he has been England's worst player so far in this tournament, so FFS drop him to the bench and play a striker that is fit, quicker and will offer more to the team than Kane. For the game against the Netherlands, the ideal Kane replacement is Watkins, who will exploit their Achilles' heel Virgil Van Dyke (who is even slower than Kane)

The stupidity of the English is astonishing. Kane is great player, but he’s not inform in this tournament. Why analysts falling back on his past performances, things change, players change, players lose form and fitness; they’re not robots. Drop Kane and play Watkins and Toney. Start with Watkins for the first half and see what Toney can do for 45 minutes. And stop taking Mainoo off he’s the type that pulls individual efforts in the box.

He started of well with Bayern, was the top scorer in the Bundesliga. Near the end of their season tho' his performances went down and down. He's too old now.

@@mikefraser4513 I like Kane, but he’s not fit at all. The guy needs to prioritize the country winning something if he cares about ending the trophy draught for England. This tournament is winnable if Kane is dropped. Also, Southgate should instruct players to pass the ball Mainoo when he’s in the opposition box. The kid can produce magnificent moments in the opposition box. Even if he’s marked give him the ball, he tends to find a way to turn with the ball in tight spots.

Look at Crook. Chicken. Kane has been poor very poor. He's lazy, short of pace. For a CF he's all over the pitch ducking his responsibility as a striker. Kane ruins teams. He did at Spurs and now Bayern. He doesn't play off the the number 10. Making it difficult for those around him. You see it all the time.

Kane is awful. Only scores lucky deflections. Get him out and England shirt
