I tell you guys what. God is so good to me by answering my prayers, last night I felt as if I was finished with making my music album which promotes the gospel, I tell the people who I want to work with, and they don’t respond, so I get in my head, maybe they don’t want to work with me, maybe it’s something I’ve done wrong, maybe I shouldn’t do this anyway. Their lack of response made me reconsider years of hard work and studying to produce a gospel spreading album, I felt God was going to use me to touch the world. I went to bed with tears and I’m question of my salvation even. But the Holy Spirit came, such a comforter, I fell asleep in a better mood, no response from the people I wanted to work with but a response from the Holy Spirit with all the right words to comfort me.Then I wake up, and this is the first video I seen, and the fact it was made today was even better. God bless you guys! What a wondering feeling it must be to know God is using you in such ways! 🙏🏽

God bless you. It’s a hard hard thing to stay the course when there is no support. I pray he guides you clearly to know whether to change direction or keep persevering on this path. Although it may feel like literally reaching for the stars, I think people who work in the arts/creative industries are oftentimes modern day prophets with a special calling. May God provide for your needs as you pursue his glory in your career endeavors. Php 4:19

I'm living my dream as an orphanage director!!! It's truly marvelous when your passion and God's calling coincide. I am so so grateful for this assignment.

I often struggle with this topic yeshua blessed me with talent for soccer/ football. And i often go back to proverbs 16:9 "in their hearts humans plan their course but the Lord establishes their steps". By the lords will i shall live.

I have been experienced this in my life .. giving up my dream to study more for my better future and Seek first the kingdom of God. So by grace i am in a discipleship for 2years few months and Yet God in His soveriegn power He blessed me with a Job that wont even fit me as per the requirements in the field of work. Right now i am a Regular as a Data analyst in a company .. I learned this workfield thru God's wisdom and Guidance on me everyday. PRaise God !!!!🙏💖

At times Its hard to tell what God is trying to tell me… I always had these 3 dreams in my heart since I was a young girl. #1 To Get a degree in Dentistry #2 Get married #3 have children/family. God answered dream #2 & #3 but for years I’ve been struggling to finish my degree. I’ve Attended 3 different universities, one in England, other 2 in the USA and Australia and it seems that there is always something happening to stop me from succeeding. Ive even tried different courses nursing and business field but I keep failing, and at times I don’t have control over the situation. Ppl always tell me that I am an intelligent person and should continue pursuing my dreams degree/career but I am getting to a point that my husband and I can’t afford anymore my academic fees & expenses. I am already in debt… I wonder why God put this strong desire in my heart to get a degree but there’s always something happening to stop/interrupt my studies. I love God so much and I am very grateful for the family He gave me (My lovely husband + children) but why is He allowing the enemy to block my blessings in getting a degree + Career?!? I worked in getting a degree even before I was married. Some Ppl in my family look at me as a failure and it’s hard to accept this 😭😭

The heart is deceitful above all else. Who may understand it? But God. Sometimes, we need to evaluate the desires of our heart because it is always deceitful. How we will know? By its fruit. By the fruits that our heart’s desire is giving us. When God has given us instructions or inspirations, peace follow through because the Lord is the prince of peace, and if there is no peace. He often has a different path than I expect, even with all kinds of evidence in my perspective. I've wanted to avoid being the wicked servant who buried his 'talents' in the ground. I've wanted to serve him with my mind and my gifts and I've tried and tried. And I haven't ever found an open door, a way through all sorts of strong resistance. But here's what I'm beginning to think - resistance training makes one stronger. So, perhaps all that resistance is making you and I a KIND of person, which is more desirable to God than our service in this or that vocation. After all, there are things we're being fitted for in heaven, not just in this world. Also, your family - your service to husband and children - is exactly the sort of thing this increasingly insane world needs people like you to be about. It may seem a small, almost automatic thing. But it's super not. It's a high high calling. And that which sets people up for eternity is God's highest priority. But, I sure feel your struggle.

Great message! I couldn’t agree more. I have a hard time figuring the route for utilizing the gifts the Lord has given me for His use. I care no longer to serve unto myself. For I desire to die for Christ and take up my cross for Him before my own ambitions. But I just pray that God will show to me how I can serve Him and others through talents of mine. Not for my glory, but only for Him.

Thanks! I've been having problems dealing with what to do with my drawing talent and choosing an art path, but I keep gravitating towards drawing things that incite sin into my life and others (for example, *only* drawing attractive characters. You can imagine the trap in this.) I've been wondering that if I can't shake off sinful addictions showing up in my artwork, I should just quit making art altogether - which is a real shame, since it's the one thing I'm amazing at and the only thing I have any tolerance for. I notice there's a short supply of "Christian art" out there, and an even shorter supply of biblically-sound art. I could step in, but I have no idea what I'd even do or if it's something I should do at all. Just the thought of it makes me feel like some sort of fraud and I don't want to get into trouble. Maybe give up and learn accounting? Even though I'd tear my hair out over it... But I'm so tired of thinking about work all the time. I want to be assured that if I deny myself 100% and STOP worrying over it and how much of a shame it would be to quit art (I feel that I could do it if I focused on God), I won't turn into a depressed shell of myself. This is really hard to describe. I'm so stuck, but this video helped me feel better about the possibility of letting go of being an artist, especially when it's been introducing sin into my life. Should I still try to hard-reset my talent? I'm worried about wasting too much time trying to fight something complicated... but I know there's no "easy" way out there...

Check out Sword And Pencil on Instagram! He’s a tattoo artist who makes amazing drawings. I don’t know your age but you see somewhat young, so I can tell you that you have a while to figure out what you sincerely want to do, and *of course* to spend a lot of time in prayer about it! It’s definitely not impossible to tweak your art in a way that glorifies God, you can even apply to Christian art schools and courses to help you with that. Perhaps tattooing is something the Holy Spirit might draw you into later?

And I know exactly how you feel. I’m already a depressed shell of myself, so my goal is to get away from that. So far it seems like my suffering mental health is a result of denying my interests and passions over many years. I’m 18, been homeschooled and didn’t go on to higher education because of social anxiety and concentration issues. I’m incredibly lonely and have no friends locally. My passion is cars, but I don’t see how that would glorify God as much as being a full-time evangelist or something like that would. I want to have a job where I earn money to support my family, because my mom is suffering from huge debts and bills because of my dad and he just left us last year. It’s all so painful and confusing, but hopefully our Heavenly Father will guide us through this confusion.

I feel you, as being talented in art and handicraft (and studied fashion design on top before becoming a Christian which is the most superficial thing you can think of)... Art seemed like a 'useless' talent to me and it somehow still does in comparison to people being able to work in caring professions for example but read this in the Bible when God commanded to build the sanctuary (Exodus 35, 30-35): "... And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work...." God gifted people to do creative work in his name, to praise him, to represent him. Also read in Matthew 25, 14-28, "The Parable of the Bags of Gold".... this is a parable about talents which God has given to people. Work hard to perfect them (in the name of God) to make them prosper, don't "bury them in the ground" because in the end, God will also judge you about the talents he has given you and which you chose not to use in the end. I wouldn't go down the Tattoo-path though, that's a dance with the devil and you will meet up with people better not to be involved with (I know, my brother is an tattoo artist, I declined an offer from his studio) because it is forbidden (Leviticus 19:28) "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you" This should be clear, it's pagan. Hope this helps you as it helped me. Try Christian art, inspiration will come to you, we artists know :)

@@KaorukosCandy Hey wow, I completely forgot about the verse. It's so reassuring I wasn't given something useless, though these days our society makes it really hard to be (and feel) useful. I totally relate to what you mentioned about fashion... I went for animation. I decided not to get into studios because it bothers me thinking I'd have to participate in projects that are sketchy and downright evil. They're sneaking all kinds of things into entertainment. It makes my heart hurt. Now I just struggle with regular old drawing, trying to not draw anything compromising and oh man. What a mess. But I'm glad I have a gift God sees useful. Maybe he will indeed like bathroom art, haha.

If it's not God's Will, then it won't work out. We as Christians have expectations and if those expectations don't align with God's Will, then we're going to be disappointed. And that's the whole overall thing. God knows what's best for us and if our expectations aren't according to what God has in store for us (basically His Will), then what we pray for won't happen.

Don’t be a man of DREAMS; Don’t be a man filled with SORROWS; Become a man of OPTIONS, instead: Develop skills sets. In order to do what you want to do then- FIRST- do what you have to do to survive. Wherever you go, the Lord will be there to use you but- yes- seek him to give him your sense of direction as the rest will be added. When Joseph received his dream he became self centered as the Lord taught him obedience the next 13 years. In other words, he focused on the dreamer (Jesus) not his dreams; He surrendered them in order to obey the Lord-whether he thought he would fulfill them or not. God doesn’t have to operate-chronologically. Whether your dreams come true or not- ALWAYS WORSHIP CHRIST AND SEE FROM HIS VIEW. Your reward is already set in Heaven.

Follow up question: my gifting is in teaching Math and Science . This is a ministry that I believe Christ has called me to and is in itself very time consuming. Could Pastor John please help put this in perspective since I am part of a church who only values “Kingdom” and church activities- drawing a distinction between glorifying God as an individual vs through the church. I’m in my element when I’m studying and teaching and feel out of place at church meetings. Although the Word and worship are an immense blessing, I honestly wouldn’t look forward to an eternity as a church service. My devotion to service in teaching is seen as inferior to spending my time at every meeting at church. Acts is often quoted, “devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and meeting daily” as where I should be spending all my time.

Actually, I start to ask myself, what is my dream? Though being a christian for over 20 years, as a mid-aged woman, a mother of two, I am afraid that all my dreams are family-centered.

Wish God helped me with my dreams can’t stand doing a job I hate the rest of my life don’t know how y’all do it 😔

I'm sorry to hear that Caesar, like Pastor John said God works in mysterious ways to guide us into surprising vocations. But remember Eph. 2:10, God has 'predestined' good works for us. Assurance of this and peace only comes from saturating yourself in the Bible, then you'll begin to discern God's will in all that concerns you. I used to despair about my gifts/career, but once I earnestly started reading my bible daily, like a miracle, I had new desires and realised interests I had dismissed could actually be part of my future. And I realised it's not always about having a grand vision for the future, but an illuminated and electrifying step-by-step journey with God. I don't know what your dreams are/were, but I know that when you genuinely seek God, whatever His best plan is for you, He will also give you the desire to do it! (Philippians 2:13). I was never passionate about bible reading, but with the free time due to covid, I finally started reading it, almost like a story book just to see if it would indeed change me, and boy oh boy, has it been a journey. I finally experience the Holy Spirit's teaching! It's like nothing else. I really wish you the best! Draw near to Him, and He'll draw nearer. When your focus shifts, everything around you, including your job, will have a new light, and a new purpose.

If you need a job for an income then you prove that you do not know God. Are you a child of God or are you a sinner since it is impossible to be both? If you can get sick then you are definitely a sinner and I can certainly prove what I am relating in scripture. First understand that I am a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ and I have overcome both sin and sickness in this life. That’s right, I am definitely stating that I cannot sin and that I can never get sick and you had better think twice before you try to disprove what I am about to relate since you may be condemning your soul in the process. If you somehow believe that you are a child of God but yet you possess sin and sickness in your life then try and prove it to me with scripture since I know that I can certainly prove that you are wrong and I can also prove that you do not know God at all. I can also prove that if you possess sin and sickness in your life then there is a very good chance that you are heading for an eternity in hell. So if you foolishly believe otherwise then once again try and prove it with scripture. I have had many foolish believers attacking me because I relate that I am a disciple of Jesus Christ who is sanctified in truth and that I have overcome sin and sickness in my life. Many of them just will not accept the truth that I can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick in this here life. I have related over and over how it is sin that allows the devil to destroy our lives with his sickness and disease and that if you possess sin then you certainly do not know God or scripture. Many believers will try to tell me that I am wrong and that what I relate is impossible because Jesus was the only sinless person. They mainly try to refute my wisdom simply because they are trying to justify the sin and the sickness that they possess in their own lives. So if you believe that I am wrong in my knowledge of God and scripture and you believe that you are correct then prove your misguided beliefs with scripture. Prove to me how you could possibly be a child of God and yet have sin and sickness in your life! Give me just one scripture verse where God instructed you to live in sin or where God stated that you will always sin. Give me one verse of scripture where God stated that a child of God will have sickness in their life or where sickness is a natural part of this life? I can certainly back up everything that I relate in scripture since I know that scripture relates how a child of God does not let sin reign in their body, he does not sin, they do not sin, he has died to sin, he has ceased from sin, and he cannot sin. All of these terms are used when describing a believer who is a child of Christ but yet most who claim to be a follower of Christ believe that they can never stop sinning and that they will always sin. So here are the scriptures that back up what I know and what I am relating. “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! Now do not try to use 1 John 1:8-1O or Romans 3:10 and 3:23 to try and justify your sin either. These scriptures are simply relating that everyone is born a sinner so they are not righteous and they fall short of the glory of God. They are relating that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. They also relate that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere are they ever stating that a believer will always sin as most foolishly desire to believe. So I know that I would have to wait a very long long time for you to respond with a scripture verse since there are no such scriptures to back up your misguided beliefs. So here is what most of you certainly do not understand. Yes, scripture relates that Jesus was born without sin and that He lived His entire life without sinning so Jesus certainly was the only sinless person. However scripture is definitely not relating that His followers will always sin or they will always have sickness in their lives. Scripture is actually stating the exact opposite of that utter nonsense and it is relating how the children of God need to learn how to overcome their sins and their sicknesses. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. This meant for us to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded. We are all born in sin and we have all sinned but this does not mean that a believer can never stop sinning. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and we accept Jesus and His Holy Spirit into our life. Once we receive His Holy Spirit we were then commanded to surrender our will to God so that we would allow the Spirit to sanctify our heart in God’s truth. This can only occur by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. Once we learn how to overcome our sins then we have now overcome sickness and disease since they come from sin and the devil. *take this with a grain of salt* Well I don't think it's sinful for you not to be a missionary, I think God will be better served where GOD wants you to serve him and where YOU want, I don't think you're meant to be a missionary because God wouldn't call us to a work he knows we don't want to do, he enjoys us serving him happily, not begrudgingly. God won't call you to s career you won't enjoy. I'm getting to the point where I'll be going to university in a few years and I'm thinking of what path to take, I get the tendency to take it by the reins and go quicker than I should, but I know that's it's best to pray and wait, like we all should. I should pray and wait, and you should too. Also, lets let God take the reins, no matter how hard it is. I know it's hard for me. Bye! PS: I want to travel the world too

Is a dream job of being eg a pilot, architect, footballer, etc glorifying God?...the moral of the story is, it’s your relationship with God that counts, not everyone can be a pastor, we all have our different gifts and callings and let’s be realistic, we all take the first job that’s offered to us on graduating from college or University and especially in these times, any job that comes our way is a dream job given the unemployment rate. It’s only a small percentage who are actually fortunate enough to get their dream jobs like being an astronaut, or movie star

@@BillBiggs1 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor 10:31. I believe you can glorify God in most professions. Some may be in more subtle ways than others. But even basic labor has its place. "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" Col 3:23 not to mention the conclusion of ecclesiastes.

@@--i-am-root absolutely agree, however we tend to be dogmatic saying Christians can’t do this job, or that job because it doesn’t glorify God when the reality is most Christians are in secular professions from banking, to real estate, etc.

He is a false prophet. Are you a child of God or are you a sinner since it is impossible to be both? If you can get sick then you are definitely a sinner and I can certainly prove what I am relating in scripture. First understand that I am a sanctified disciple of Jesus Christ and I have overcome both sin and sickness in this life. That’s right, I am definitely stating that I cannot sin and that I can never get sick and you had better think twice before you try to disprove what I am about to relate since you may be condemning your soul in the process. If you somehow believe that you are a child of God but yet you possess sin and sickness in your life then try and prove it to me with scripture since I know that I can certainly prove that you are wrong and I can also prove that you do not know God at all. I can also prove that if you possess sin and sickness in your life then there is a very good chance that you are heading for an eternity in hell. So if you foolishly believe otherwise then once again try and prove it with scripture. I have had many foolish believers attacking me because I relate that I am a disciple of Jesus Christ who is sanctified in truth and that I have overcome sin and sickness in my life. Many of them just will not accept the truth that I can no longer sin nor can I ever get sick in this here life. I have related over and over how it is sin that allows the devil to destroy our lives with his sickness and disease and that if you possess sin then you certainly do not know God or scripture. Many believers will try to tell me that I am wrong and that what I relate is impossible because Jesus was the only sinless person. They mainly try to refute my wisdom simply because they are trying to justify the sin and the sickness that they possess in their own lives. So if you believe that I am wrong in my knowledge of God and scripture and you believe that you are correct then prove your misguided beliefs with scripture. Prove to me how you could possibly be a child of God and yet have sin and sickness in your life! Give me just one scripture verse where God instructed you to live in sin or where God stated that you will always sin. Give me one verse of scripture where God stated that a child of God will have sickness in their life or where sickness is a natural part of this life? I can certainly back up everything that I relate in scripture since I know that scripture relates how a child of God does not let sin reign in their body, he does not sin, they do not sin, he has died to sin, he has ceased from sin, and he cannot sin. All of these terms are used when describing a believer who is a child of Christ but yet most who claim to be a follower of Christ believe that they can never stop sinning and that they will always sin. So here are the scriptures that back up what I know and what I am relating. “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭NKJV “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! They also relate that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere are they ever stating that a believer will always sin as most foolishly desire to believe. So I know that I would have to wait a very long long time for you to respond with a scripture verse since there are no such scriptures to back up your misguided beliefs. So here is what most of you certainly do not understand. Yes, scripture relates that Jesus was born without sin and that He lived His entire life without sinning so Jesus certainly was the only sinless person. However scripture is definitely not relating that His followers will always sin or they will always have sickness in their lives. Scripture is actually stating the exact opposite of that utter nonsense and it is relating how the children of God need to learn how to overcome their sins and their sicknesses. Jesus came to call sinners to repentance. This meant for us to stop sinning entirely and to start living holy and righteously just as God commanded. We are all born in sin and we have all sinned but this does not mean that a believer can never stop sinning. Jesus came to forgive us of the sins that we have already committed and this occurs at the moment that we repent of our sins and we accept Jesus and His Holy Spirit into our life. Once we receive His Holy Spirit we were then commanded to surrender our will to God so that we would allow the Spirit to sanctify our heart in God’s truth. This can only occur by understanding how to test the Spirits as commanded in 1 John 4. The believers who follow the devil often try to justify their sin by twisting the meaning of 1 John 1:8-1O or Romans 3:10, 3:23 and 7. They love to claim that Paul was a sinner and they often use the Romans 7 scripture to try and back up their lies. They fail to realize that we have all been sinners at one time in our lives and Paul was simply relating how he was a sinner until he was freed by knowing Christ. They clearly overlook how Paul related that he had died to sin and he was no longer a slave to sin in Romans 6. With the I John 1:8-10 scripture it is simply relating that everyone is born a sinner since we are all born in sin and ignorance of truth. It is saying that this is why we need to repent and confess our sins to God so that He will then forgive us. It is also stating that anyone who believes that they have never sinned is then calling God a liar. But nowhere is this scripture ever relating that a believer will always sin as those who follow the devil desire to believe. Romans 3:10 is simply relating that none of us are righteous since we are all born in sin and this is why we needed a savior to teach us how to stop sinning. Romans 3:23 is actually stating the same thing since we are all born in sin and we all fall short of the glory of God. Sometimes they will even try to use Romans 6:23 to justify why they sin and they clearly have no idea that this scripture is relating that if you sin then you will eternally die, hence “the wages of sin is death.” They also like to claim that the apostles were sinners themselves and they often use Peter denying Christ as their example. Now did the apostles live in sin at some time in their life? They most definitely did since everyone is born in sin and in ignorance of truth. But the apostles were believers who allowed Jesus to sanctify their heart in God’s truth and they learned how to overcome their sins. This is why God then used them as His messengers and He gave them His power to heal. Read John 17:6-19 where Jesus prayed for their sanctification.

John, if only you would take your own advice. The voices of the innocents cry out from the ground for justice. Do you hear them?
