Hey Milad, I appreciate your advice on this topic. I think it’s important to note that college in itself can be considered an investment and I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with taking out loans (although that isn’t the ideal situation for anyone), but if that’s the only option for someone, it’s crucial to look into the return of investment with that undergraduate degree you are getting to see how quickly you can pay off those loans. No college is worth more than at minimum 30K a year and even below that amount, it depends what field you are trying to enter and the return of investment you will get with the degree you are trying to obtain.

The kitchen sequences and cooking was recorded first, probably before he knew what the topic would be. The narration is a voice over added later in post (or editing.) So that was carefully put together in editing to purposefully coincide with the glass breaking. Not that the glass breaking was planned, just that once it happened the narration was written and edited to match.

I have taken course about how to interview for a job and one of the turned away points of any cv is your experience as a student in college, your role in a project, your time management, seeking information, meeting people... choosing people; these all yields to who you are as an employee for that job, college is not an education, it's also an experience.

I was an early college student during my high school freshman year(I dropped out). My experience might not be helpful because I'm still a high school student(upcoming junior). Honestly, if you're not liking the class you are taking, then it's best to drop out. I was forced to be in the college program, my mom and older sister signed me up without letting me know. All I can remember is I got forced to go to the program meeting, and that's where the experience begins. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either...we couldn't pick our classes because they were already chosen for us. The only class I enjoyed was science, we did a lot of fun research, and experiments during the time. When the pandemic happened everything stopped and it got WAY worse because we had to take them online. I passed all my classes though but sheesh- I hated being in a college especially without having my permission to get in. Never again.

I feel the same way about High School. I have failed miserably because when I don't see the point in repeating the same classes over and over again, I just stop trying and fail those classes. Everything I have learned up until senior year besides electives like Band have felt unfulfilling, but due to state laws, I legally have to be in school until I turn 18. While it would be satisfying to finish grade school, I would be held back another year or two either way, and that would only open up the opportunity for 40 years of student loans. I don't know man, the American education system needs a serious revamp. Especially around when Covid started, a lot of other people gained similar problems. Needless to say I am going to stay at this school for the entirety of the year so I can go to prom, and to have fun with my friends, but I felt the need to rant about it. Getting my GED (diploma alternative) next summer and figuring life out from there.

I was in a similar situation a little over a year ago. In the UK we have college after secondary school and then university (which is like at US college age). I had initially planned to finish college and study the same thing in university, but I realised I absolutely hated what I was doing. This wasn’t what I wanted to do at all. And yeah the college environment wasn’t good, no one ever talked to me, I’d get marked absent when I was there just because people didn’t notice, I’d work my ass off for absolutely zero recognition by anyone. It was killing me to continue the course and I was so, so close to quitting in my last year. The only reason I didn’t quit is because I knew how disappointed my mum would be in me. I didn’t finish it for me, but for everyone who was so proud of me for getting those grades. But part of me wishes I did quit. Because if I’d quit back then, maybe I’d be in a better place now?

as a child of immigrants, I had no choice but to go to college. I absolutely did not want to and thought about dropping out many, many times. unfortunately, a lot of employers won't even look at your resume if you don't have a degree. a lot of companies want like 5 years of experience on top of a college degree for minimum wage entry level jobs. even after graduating, I feel like it was a major waste of time because here I am, 3 years later, and I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. the only upside is that I am not saddled with crippling student debt since I received enough financial aid to cover my entire 4 year stint 🤷‍♀️

I went to college but dropped out because I wasn't ready and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. 4 years later I went back to school with the motivation and direction I didn't have fresh out of high school. It's okay to drop out, you can always go another time if you want to.

For me the work and academics has never been the problem for me in school it’s always been bullying and socialising like i’ve struggled with weight and eating disorders my whole life and kids would laugh at me and call me fat and it would just result in me asking my mum to not send me school but she did it anyways and over time I just realised that Idgaf about these people’s opinions as I may not be perfect but I like myself and when I realised that the bullying just kind of faded into the background as the bullies realised that I didn’t care what they thought of me so they didn’t get a kick out of it anymore but if you have ever been bullied or called a name or someone has made fun of an insecurity you have cause trust me that’s been done my whole life just try to prove those people wrong think of it as them motivating you if someone calls you dumb work your ass of in your studies revise and when you take a test and get a better result then them never let them forget it so they know how it feels just never give up because if you do they’ll be winning just try not to care what they say cause if they realise you dont care they wont enjoy it anymore one trick that helped me was when i used to look in the mirror I used to see my stretch marks or my acne and I would just say to myself that I aint perfect but I dont care and slowly those things didn’t bother me if you ever feel hurt or upset cause of a comment someone made about you just realise it says more about them as a person than it does about you try to love yourself for who you are regardless once you do that life will become pretty great and success will be one step closer to you just never give up remember your never alone as people just like me had the same experience and so have plenty of other people

I would like to add to the above video is that one should find a job with a college and gain real-life XP. It will be better if the job is in the field in which you want to pursue your career. For eg :- If you want to pursue a career in Investment Banking then one must pursue internship that are linked with it. The above point requires intense clarity of vision in life and I recommend everyone to have it, so that their profile has XP which is required for the jobs they want in future.
