I wish you could have mentioned the annual maintenance fee of the property, which usually a layman doesn't count when comparing rented and owned property

I agree with you on investing vs buying. That said i'm thinking more and more to buy something just cause I foresee being here for the next 5 years.Just got sick of renting and keep moving. Prices are decent now so I think it may be more worth it. That said, why do people say (potentially rightfully) that there is no capital appreciation in Dubai and you're sure to sell on a loss? Is it cause everyone bought at the top of the market or is there something else? Maybe address that in a video
