Did it today with just a few hours left to get in. Way I see it is this show is infiltrating pop culture unlike star wars has in years. Should be a solid investment and an amazing showpiece!

I do know what you mean but even so, I'm not convinced Hasbro would have added any extra stretch goals. They could have, but if the intention was there, they could have been added much sooner. Still very pleased with what we're getting

I pre ordered it from a pop culture store here in Australia called zing. The main selling point for me was that exclusive carded child figure. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

There was a T Shirt released before series one came out, it's sold on Amazon. The Artwork on the Shirt is like the art you would find on a Razorcrest toy and all it says on that is Battle Sounds. I feel that lights would push up the cost and need somewhere for a battery. That being said i'm almost as excited to see what talented people will do with this model regarding lighting as i am about the release of the model.

There is space for lights and sounds and they don't cost a fortune to add, think of how much an electronic birthday card costs. But even if it doesn't, I imagine there will be third party kits to get some added.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Yeah, basically a Kickstarter and the SailBarge they did a few years back went well so there's no reason this won't. For the light, I know Tim on BossksBounty highlighted it, but nothing confirmed about any electronics yet. Thanks for watching

Congrats on making your choice! It is a beautiful ship. I'm actually sill hesitating as well! That's a big investment for a show that 'might' end up being a classic. Will the Razorcrest be destroyed and will we be doing a Haslab for the next 'big thing' a year from now? Very forgivable if the show's quality continues to climb, but I like Haslab being reserved for classic pieces, I guess. I greatly admire the quality of the ship, and on that alone I might jump in :)

If you want the Razor Crest, you must buy it within the next 5 days as a backer. ** IT WILL NOT BE SOLD IN SHOPS OR AT ONLINE RETAILERS ** If it is, they will be charging a sizeable markup. As you're in the UK, Zavvi is your best bet. You will not get this for less than £350. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

after looking at haslab offering 2021 im over the moon i back razor crest. what a bargain looking at the runcor at £330 lol

Does the popularity of Haslab's Crest mean it won't rise in value as much as the Sail Barge did which sold for $500 but is now going to over $1,500 on ebay? If the Crest is going to sell in the tens of thousands of units when the barge sold a third of that (I think), would it not be nearly as rare or sought after in the collectors market? And would the fact that it's from the new era of SW as opposed to the OT as the Barge was, also count against its value increase?

It is likely that the Crest won't reach the same secondary market value as the Barge. Approx 24k Crests (at time of writing) to apx 10k barges so the barge is a rarer item. That said, The Mandalorian is current media and the Crest is the focus of the hottest Disney+ series around. It's a good bet that there are more people that will want the crest who are introduced to the Mandalorian in seasons 3 and 4. Ultimately only time will tell.

We'll see, but I'm ok with him not getting a new ship, The Rogue One crew are still popular characters despite dying in 2016. I'd be interested to know how many cancelled their extras to re-sell compared to how many backers dropped out completely. If he does get the same ship again, I imagine it would have a different paint job (easy repaint for Hasbro 😆)

@@boomieboo that's one way of putting it! I'm not sure about value. I think it will at least hold it's value, 28k is still a relatively low production number. There will be those who didn't have the cash to get it now but will in a years time, plenty who didn't even know that it existed but will see pictures of it when it comes out and want one. At the end of the day, its a cool ship and will make for a great display piece. I'm not worried

Sounds like Hasbro is doing the same thing Michael Jackson or Prince done back in the '90s when you had to buy a minimum of seven tickets to their concert even if you only needed one. You could return the tickets for a refund but you wouldn't get your money back until three months after the concert tour was over. Meanwhile they're making interest off your refund money because you have to wait until the concert tour is over plus three months. So for 12 months Hasbro is making money with your money and you're okay with that?

With interest rates what they are over here, I'd probably only make about £4.20 over the year, less than the price of a pint in some places. I can live with that. Besides, although I won't be getting it for a year, I doubt Hasbro will be holding off paying all of their designers, advertisers, administrative staff, manufacturers etc until we receive it. I expect a chunk of what they have had in from us has already gone out to pay for various production costs.

I'm never going to recommend going into debt to fund a hobby, it can spiral very quickly. If you do want this, it may be worth evaluating what you already have and trimming your collection down via eBay. Keeps the collection fresh, raises funds and creates the space you'd need for this beast. Just a thought.

Watch Analog Toys view on it. How can they be impossible. They are multi million dollar company who have absorbed many competitors over the years. They crowded funded a cookie monster. How hard can be to manufacture and sell a cuddly toy?

Analog Toys are entitled to their opinion. Unfortunately the Toy industry as it stands today doesn't lend itself to such risks and we will likely see more of the Kickstarter model for these larger items. Between increasing production costs, collectors waiting for clearance and a supposedly shrinking fanbase (depending on who you talk to), it's far more risky to release a big item like the Crest. Had this not been funded up front, the cost would likely have been about £500 to cover the cost of the item going on clearence at some point. With the Haslab model they are garraunteed that they will recoup the cost of development, tooling, production etc and yes, of course, profit. What they do with that profit is a different question, but one would hope that some of it goes back into the TVC line, as that is the source that just made them a boat load. As for Cookie Monster, thats a numbers game. It's not necessarily difficult to make a cuddly toy, but there needs to be enough people to want to buy it, in order to make it profitable in a mass production environment. Cookie Monster just wasn't popular enough to sell enough units. Had he gone up for backing at a lower price, they'd have needed to sell even more of them in order to break even and like I say, He's just not that popular.

I wish they could just release this as a actual product...

I do agree I feel this should have been made available at retail, it would have sold well. But we would not have had the add ons like the 3 figures and display stand (which should also have made it cheaper at retail). I also think Hasbro are feeling burnt by people waiting for clearance on all the large items

@@leebush4053 i can't argue with teh Sequel stuff, there was too much, too expensive and not enough quality. In fairness, the Galaxys Edge Millennium Falcon did well, especially as Target made it seem extremely limited and it didn't go to clearance. Its a mix of Hasbro over pricing items and the waiting for clearance crowd that has left us where we are, and Hasbro not releasing big stuff to retail.

Do you even need to think about that?

I imagine that's partially why it became this years crowd funded project, rather than retail release. Still, I'm glad I took the time to decide on whether I actually wanted the ship rather than impulse buying. Love the ship #NoRegrets

I like the video and your opinion, so it wasn’t ment in a negative way to you.... sorry I wish I could remember. I watched again and still couldn’t remember..lol good stuff I backed, sucks waiting but at least I won’t have to be scalped, or get extremely lucky and actually find anything vintage collection in a Walmart. ??? @@lexxismarin4012 it sounds like a cool toy. Again I don't know the ins and outs. Batman has a huge fanbase so they may be able to sell more than 28,000 of it, bringing the overall costs down. This is an incredibly detailed model, both inside and out which also drives up the cost. I imagine the Batmobile doesn't have many paint applications that need to be added, where as this looks like it has loads. Again, I'm trying to compare without seen it so its difficult to make a case. Ultimately, it does come down to you, if you don't feel it's worth it, you'll only end up feeling disappointed if you buy it.
