Hello Rael. It took 19 sessions for my Pilates instructor to adjust the reformer for my heigth, which is 6-feet. The gear bar and the side pins are designed to be adjusted for taller clients. I repeatedly said that I felt like a pretzel, felt the reformer was too small, felt that my body didn't fit and my back was hurting. The reformer can be adjusted to accommodate individuals of differing heights for a reason. Please consider the clients needs and feedback not just the idea that you want someone to "work hard" because you wouldn't say that about someone 5'3" or 5'6". The reformer does not require adjustment for average height women. Without adjustment the reformer was painful and uncomfortable. No client should have to suffer because they have not been shown how to adjust the reformer for their body height. Thank you.

"Rhonda, I could not agree with you more. The equipment MUST be set up appropriately for each body - and each body is different. I am astounded that it took your teacher 19 sessions to recognize that at 6 feet your setting would, and should, be different to someone of 5 feet. Form ALWAYS takes precedence over working hard. The intensity of the work is built on good form, and not visa versa. An excellent workshop to attend would be our BASI workshop called: "Setup For Success". The old equipment did not have the adjustments we have today. The teacher should use them." - Rael
