The thing with this event vs shot on iphone short films, is that the keynote did not look like iphone footage at all, while all of the shot on iphone short films are obviously shot on iphone. It's not about an iphone being an iphone, but the fact that the iphone 15 with apple log removed all of the tone mapping, smart HDR, denoising, and digital sharpening that are apl extremely present even in the iphone 14 pro. Every filmmaker liked these phone, but the footage looked like phones. It still wouldn't replace anything. But now with apple log removing all the digital ugliness in the footage, it can actually act as a b cam on sets now. The fact that even you didn't notice it was shot on iphone already speaks a lot. If it were shot on the 14 pro it would be extremely obvious because of what I've mentioned. Skin tone alone will be a dead giveaway that it's shot on iphone

All good stuff. I'm not sure everyone would be able to tell. Filmmakers are different than the general audience. Even though they do have log they are still limited. That's why they only used 1 lens and shot on a controlled set. Not sure you could use it as a b cam in all situations. Plenty of other cameras to choose from that are better options. I'll def use it when needed and love that I'll have log, but it's not really going to change any work that I do. I like my Komodo and R3 way too much, lol.
