Short Line Railroad Switching Grain Spur & 3 Locomotives On CCET!

Ойын-сауық

Cincinnati East Terminal Railway action at the grain elevator and flat switching at Mount Zion! 3 rare EMD locomotives in Alaska Railroad and Montana Rail Link livery on Norfolk & Western rails. Norfolk Southern owns this railroad branch line and leases it to CCET. First we see them in Winchester Ohio shoving in 3 empties and retrieving 25 loads of grain. Then they take the loads east to Mount Zion to run around their train to head west toward Cincinnati. Earlier in the day they dropped off the SD45-2 and a couple coal cars. The coal cars are put in storage and the SD45-2 is needed to pull the loads. I chased them from Mt Zion all the way to Mount Orab, Ohio with a few shots at Macon and Sardinia. I didn't show the entire train at each location. Filmed December 19, 2017. Thanks for watching! Please Give Thumbs Up &

    Always a pleasure watching your videos!! I appreciate your enthusiasm every time 😂and it’s helpful to know like you do what there Game plan is for making the moves !! It’s music to my ears watching shoreline switching. ..... industrial track that is over grown with weeds or doesn’t seem like there is any action! Low and behold if you stick around long enough you just might catch something. Wish everyone was excited about the railroads like you!! Keep up the good work!!

    Man alive Brian !!!! Way,way KEWL. I just found this video today 2-19-22. Really boss switching action. I'm a little bias on this video as I have a weakness for the Montana Rail Link line. I have elk hunted in Montana and seen their SD-45's and SD-402's in the valleys when hunting. Same for the D&RG SD-402's in NW,SE,Central Colorado. I tell ya Santa Fe's paint scheme is all time classic,but when you see 4 D&RG's SD-402's pulling 75 coal hoppers with the black and orange cursive writing slithering around the Arkansas River along Rt 50 the heart starts beating big time. I wish I had had a camera or video cam back then but even at 40 yrs old,hunting those mountains for elk up n down ain't anything like whitetail hunting in Ohio or Pennsylvania !!!! I have 3 Montana Rail Link SD-45's in Aristocraft G gauge here waiting to run but it's impossible to find MRL freight cars. I'm going to have to spray other cars to get an all MRL only freight. I know........I'm old,getting more eccentric every day.

    Not the railroad police but sometimes police, especially in Kentucky for some reason do. I'm still thinking about making a video about that. I want to warn railfans about having pocket scanners in their car when listening to trains. That is a huge redflag to the police.

  • @kenroberts4767

    @kenroberts4767

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@JawTooth That's because Kentucky has very strong anti scanner laws, as in you aren't supposed to have one in your vehicle or on your person if it's capable of tuning to police frequencies. Florida is even worse. However, do a little studying, obtain your technician amateur radio license, and you are exempt from these anti scanner laws. Just keep a copy of your license, and a copy of the state statutes pertaining to scanners, with you when you are out and about.
