Honestly it feels like if king was in irl He would have a intro like this

I'm not sure I agree with this. Sure, king has better comeback potential, but that just means you have to play differently with AK and try to not rely on rage too much. I'm not saying that AK is better, but tbh just comparing them on comeback potential doesn't really give me the full picture. Btw, personally, it would look something like this: STANDING PUNISHMENT: King A - AK A. Practically tied. King has better 12f and 15f punish, AK has 13f long-range mid wallsplat punish and dark upper. CROUCH PUNISHMENT: King A - AK F. King is better no contest, he would be S if only he had a 13f punish, AK has only ws4 below 15f (it's chunky tho) and his hopkick has bad range so it's not fully reliable. WHIFF PUNISHMENT: King B - AK A+. This one's for AK. Shoulder has amazing range and is mid, and dark upper does a lot of damage. King doesn't have a fast long-range laucher, tho b3:1+2 is quite chunky and b1,2 has a lot of range (but bad hitbox). MOVEMENT & EVASIVENESS: King D - AK B. This one's for AK again, his hitbox is smaller, his sidestep is much better and he has a nice panic move in b1+4 that some characters can't punish. King is huge, has no panic moves and he even gets hit by some big boy combos. KEEP OUT: King C - AK B. King has better range on b1, but AK has dark upper. APPROACH: King A - AK A. I'm on the fence on this one. King has simpler options (ff1, ffn1+2 and ffn2 can cover almost everything) but none of them area really oppressive, whereas AK has a lot of options but a lot more risky (cd1, ff3 are high, ff4, ff2, ffn2 weak to ss, cd4 has no range). AK has an usable wavedash tho so that's another point to consider. POKING: King B - AK B. Another difficult one. King has better mids and his fast mids (df1, df2 and df3) have good tracking. AK has better lows so he doesn't have to rely too much on throws. THROWS: King S+ - AK A+. Obviously King has the best throw game in the game, and his better mids make connecting them easier. AK could be said to be second so he's not too shabby, but from my experience he's ducked more often. OKIZEME: King S - AK B. Most of king's knockdowns and throws give amazing oki, and his floor grabs and rage drive do a LOT of damage if the enemy stays on the ground. AK doesn't really have a mixup for floor grabs (except at the wall and on a couple of positions), and only a couple of knockdowns give favorable oki. RAGE: King S - AK D. King's rage drive is one of the best of the game. AK's rage drive is super cool tho. OVERALL: King A+ - AK A.

EXCELLENT response @rabusmar! I Pretty much agree with most of your points. As far as the crouch punishment section, don't forget that both can use crouch canceling to punish lows like Paul's qcf+3, both Kings' f,f,n,2, etc. AK can cc f+1+4 for -14 lows for the wall splat. I would boost AK's rating to a C and not an F lol because some characters have it worse than him. Also, the movement and evasiveness should be a little higher for King. Backwards JGS is VERY good for King and he has more moves with crushing properties than AK. Now AK's b+1+4 is an amazing evasive tool, but it isn't safe against everyone and it gets blown up by a lot of moves. King's backdash covers more ground than AK's but not his SS. Both have the same hurtboxes when it comes to combos also. Poking? King has d/f+2 and a very hard to step d/f+1 with an extension that's only -10. I give the nod to King because 2 CH d/f+2's is the round against the majority of the cast. AK has nothing even close to that.

As someone who doesn't play king/AK, AK always gives me trouble for the same reason that Mishimas do: MOVEMENT! The wavedash is no joke! I haven't played a king online in forever, but them AK players always give me work lol

Armor King uses Pro Wrestling. Unlike King, his fighting style is more oriented towards the "shoot" style, which has more of an emphasis on strikes as opposed to holds." Get that out there. So yes, both use pro wrestling, but are a tad different and use different move. We all know original Tekken characters will get a bit of special treatment. That means giving them a few more high damaging moves.

The funniest thing is that yesterday I just tried to find a video of you talking about king over armor king. Now you did a video

King : master of basics always has options balanced aggression and defense better for calm and collected players. Armor king : Aggressive moves ,good pressure , good damage up front, good for aggressive players .

@@yashking8594 King’s got df+1, 2 with the delay on 2 and his jab strings for pressuring. Pretty much any kind of pressure tool he has can just be waited out by a patient player. I think he’s best with hard reads, approach tools and maybe now whiff punishment with his new f+2, 1 and leg drop after b+3.

So, this iteration of AK is launch heavy with horrible frames and little options. High risk, low reward.

His frames on a lot of his knockdowns and his lack of a high utility rage drive make him have to work harder than King in a lot of aspects. He has excellent keep away and approach to compensate...but they come at a risk as well.

@@Bloonas yeah that's been a thing. CH b1+2 is +14 on hit. If you can do a perfect dark upper which is i14 you will get a launch. I practiced it a lot to the point I do it to my brother when we play just to show off my execution. The best way to practice is to go into practice and set the bots second action to guard all. Having the frame indicators will help with timing. Thing is, b1+2 is like i18 and inferior to King's chest bump and shove so it's seldom ever used.

I'm curious. what would you like to see from armor king if he shows up in tekken eight? I mostly play him on the side now cause I enjoy being lei for his mix-ups. what would you say they change about armor king to keep him different from king while also being just as fun/good.

I’d like to see more of an emphasis on Japanese strong style wrestling. It would truly have him stand out a lot more compared to his brothers protege.

@@justaotter2085 not even close. AK doesn't look like an anime character with a two minute chainthrow. AK throws don't look like it's fake wrestling. AK ki charges you when he lands a ch launcher. AK dark upper is high skill ceiling. AK rage drive is dirty and indicative of his Heel persona. King can't touch this.

JDCR just won a huge online invitational with AK and said he believes AK is very strong (I would assume stronger than king) so I’m interested to hear your thoughts on the other side of the coin.

Idk, i've been more successful with ak, and he's more fun. I even bettered my exexution and wavedash through him. If I were consistent with king's giant swing, i might have used him more ( piledriver always comes out for me)

@@lloydvallentine2 funny thing is i'm consistent with armor king's giant swing, but king's i always mess up, because half of giant swing input is that tombstone, plus i'm on a cheap gamepad

@@jaaydee93 Yea me too, there is a secret input like do a forward and then the tombstone input with a square but its not 100% accurate.. Like each time i play I have to practice it for a minute to get the timing right and even then I regress to the conventional method after I miss a couple of times..

They should not be compared because they have completely different playstyles and moves. Just like how Anna and Nina are not same. I think King is obviously stronger than AK because I struggle more with King.

I'mma just say King is better than Armor because of lower execution requirements. For the life of me I can't even do the Crouch dash 2 into Crouch dash 1.

It's completely the opposite for me. King's wave dash is definitely not a "lower execution requirement", that's muscle memory that only a few have mastered on keyboard, pad, and stick respectively. Also, I'll hand it to King players that can land a ff1 combo into shining wizard because I can't do that consistently in comparison to cd2 to cd1, or even the JDCR special.

I Love The Intro Majin. But Armored King is better than king 💯 Well at least to me. I played Armored King & King both yesterday and always have a harder time playing AK. I use Noctis & Leroy on XBox

They're supposed to be Mexican but a reveal of King I's face from Namco Museum makes him looks black. He had a big high top fade afro under his mask. I'm not sure what King II is but AK I & II can be both be Afro Mexicans (yes those exist). They are WAY too dark to just be Mexican or Indigenous. Especially Tag 2 Armor King.
