I've never had a stylist who followed my instructions, so I gave up years ago. I love cutting my own hair. I've rarely done anything that made me unhappy.

I'm feeling you. I cut my own hair and haven't been to a salon for at least 20 years.

When you said it wasn't short enough...I started yelling at my screen...Nooooo it's short enough!!! But it turned out awesome!😍

Just watched this video, as I’ve waited 6 months for my curly cut at a specialist salon, and then am now in isolation due to Covid 19. Soooooo, it’s 2 am here, and I’ve just been in the bathroom and cut it all myself after being inspired by you. Chuffed to bits. Thank you. I was having so much trouble getting my curls to come out with my very long hair ❤️ but I cut my hair yesterday and my curls came out with much less work 😍 I still have quite a bit of breakage and damage but since starting CGM I’ve had a ton of new growth. The stylist I went to helped so much to mask the fuzzy new growth. I do t regret cutting it at all!

Good Morning! I just did the same thing 3 weeks ago. I am 68 and have NEVER cut my own hair. I stood at the mirror just like you and whacked away a good 4 inches. Very freeing. Now I am thinking about cutting some more. BTW, a young work friend (23) turned me on to you and the curly girl method! Loving the results! Good for seniors too!

I stumbled across your page when I was researching how to stop hair breakage and saw your CG videos and have decided to try the CG method. I not only wanted to thank you for posting about the CG method in easy to understand short videos but also on posting this haircut video! I knew to start my curly girl journey I needed to cut off about 4 inches of dead ends and saw your video about cutting your hair and it inspired me to CUT MY OWN HAIR as well!! First time I cut 9” for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program where they make wigs for cancer patients. Since then, I have given myself a couple unicorn cuts & have no regrets. Wtg!
