I agree with you regarding the frequent showering/soap hygiene myth. That's just programming designed to sell more product. While some people might freak out, I use one organic biodegradable product for both body and hair, and most of the time I shower without use of any product. Its amazing what just a little water and scrubbing without products will do for hygiene! Conserves so much water also!

Jan I just turned 50, married going on 15yrs, kids 20/24 are out of the house, work as a medtech in corrections, a year ago got a puppy, thinkg about getting a tat sleeve, daughter says go for it Mom...doing major soul searching...Hell, I'm always soul searching. That's it, you're the shit! You are killin me! I almost spit my tea out when you said you're a dirty girl! I have some idea's on how I'll keep clean when I finally get out there, cuz you're right about the responsibility that comes with the tanks and leaks and so forth. I love taking a bath in the river anyway, and it's been way to long since I've done that. When I finally get my ass out there, we got to hook up somewhere along the way and hang out for a day! lol that was good! I rarely ever get sick either and like you i dont have a shower in my bus either.. rivers and streams work well and when I'm not near one a bird bath inside or a bucket and my 12 volt pump outside work just fine. ;)

Im doing a Skoolie in the spring. Love traveling on my bike but grew up Camping as well so LOVE what you are doing and can't wait to get out there and start traveling and hitting up all the bike events that i can in a little more comfort;) Maybe catch up to you someday! lmao, had to laugh about the shower deal... I hear the same from peeps I talk to. My answer is I'm not going to lose such a big portion of floor space for a 10 minute daily practice? That's ridiculous.... so anyhoo .... I use the stairwell in my skoolie Grace for a shower. Cleans and freshens the entry way, makes the whole bus smell good. I cover all the windows unless I'm totally alone, light candles.... it's decadent and sensual.... I'm a hedonist at heart.

I'm getting a bus next year and I am right with you on the shower thing. I don't plan to Plum the bus for the reasons that you stated and because I really don't need to. That's what Planet Fitness is for

I totally agree with you about showering every day. I make my own soap, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener. I don't put a bunch of crap on my face every night to wash off make up and don't use a bunch of crap in the morning to moisturize my face. Just rose hip lotion made locally from wild rose bushes. It's all to over done, all for the love of money. Whatever :0\

I am married but my husband has no desire to be on the road. The road has been calling my name for years so I'm saving for a class b van or perhaps a short c. Btw, I totally agree with the shower thing. I'm excited to see your next video!

love the dirty girl. I must be a dirty girl too. had a house fire so no bathroom at all for three months. used a camping toilet and 'showered' in the kitchen using a bowl, and a jug while standing in a fish box to catch most of the drips. worked for me! still don't shower every day but when I do, oh I do like a good scrub. I believe most daily showers just consist of a quick wet and wipe anyway. minimal actual cleaning involved. one observation though... in a uk climate any river washes will be a lick and a promise! like and envy your bus and echo your woman alone philosophy.

Should have watched this vid first. Now I know why you dont have a shower. For others out there that read this comment, my idea for a shower would be to get the ol bucket in a box style toilet. Use what Masyn has as her toilet room as both a shower and toilet room. Build handles onto the box and just sit it outside the toilet room to shower then replace it when done.Boom! As per what inspires you.........it's pretty obvious.......freedom!

Dirty girls are the best! Seriously tho, i love the shower answer. You can get a nice hot shower when you want at any truck stop for 10 bucks or less, so why use up your much needed space.
