the little exposed thread on the red dress is actually intentional! it's called a swing tack, and it's basically a fancier/tailored way to attach a lining to more delicate fabric or to keep the garment from being too bulky. -sincerely, someone who's happy to put their fashion degree to use lmao

when she showed the jessica rabbit one online i immediately thought "not a chance it looks like that", that kinda fabric is expensive when it's high quality and dense with sequins (also a good colour) but i'm surprised just how ok it looked lol, but the lirika matoshi dress i'm not gonna lie i thought it was so ugly on the website but on naomi she really brought the best out of that dress, i'm impressed

i think the issue with the first dress is that naomi’s waist is shorter than the corset, so it needed to be cut shorter at the bottom, and tightened at the bottom too. i have the same problem with clothes tbh

the corset is backwards, the pointy parts are for the back, so that, adjusting it more and the right accessories would make everything look better

It wasn't very attractive in general. There just isn't much one can do with a dress like that to make it more appealing. It was very plain. Price for that was insane.

I would love to see Naomi try to style the 1st dress, she def has potential, but I agree it's in an uncanny valley area because its missing something and I can't even begin to say what 😭

$690 for the first dress is crazy

A different haircolor would make the first dress work sooooo well. Dark hair - the white hair with the blue streaks washes the whole look out, I think.

the lirika matoshi dress was so good on her! it's super flattering. i think the bottom of the dress can be a little tighter to the legs to really bring out Naomi's hips (like a mermaid cut? tight on the legs but it flares out at the knees)

Personally I agree with Vincent, it doesn’t seem to be flattering for her body type. Or the corset is not properly fitted, idk. But it does not look as flattering on her as other dresses do, in my opinion. And gosh definitely not worth 800 bucks 😭

@@NonaMoreau haha, I am OK now but I sure as $&%# weren't when it happened. I was wearing these insane shoes that looked sort of like those classic Timberlands except with a 4 inch platform on them. One wrong move and my ankle bent in on itself and my fibula bone (the outer calf bone) cracked into two... 🙄 🤢 I still have the shoes! 😆 Although I don't wear them... I all honesty, the most hilarious part to me is that I was 32 years old when it happened. 😂 You're never too old for improper shoes!

The thread connecting the lining and dress on the red one is not a mistake. It’s a thread chain and is there to keep the lining from going too far out of place. Especially with a stretch material like that dress is, stitching the lining in at the bottom would be a bad idea. The lining could sag or pull the face fabric oddly. It may not be a very well made garment but the lining and thread chain is correct dressmaking.
