The panic when the first doll actually ate the hair got me shaking. I almost peed myself I was crying laughing so hard. 😂😂😂😂

Naomi saying "NO, STOP!! Give it backkkkkk, what are you doing stop it!" When the doll started chewing an entire bundle of hair had me dying!😂😂😂😂 Bloody crack up.

I had that same Cabbage Patch Kid! But she came with fries and carrots, etc. That doll ate my finger! My finger got stuck and I had to go to the hospital and a Doctor and Nurse had to rip the mouth open and gently pull out my BROKEN pointer finger. My mom contacted the company and sent my medical bills to them. We ended up getting $3400 as a “settlement” since my mother threatened to take them to court. We could’ve got SO much more!!!!! Insane!😂

@@Ariel-lol my finger was so small then that it healed fast. But I do have arthritis in that finger and hand now as an adult. So who knows of it was caused by, or made worse by breaking my finger. It happened so long ago that I doubt I could do anything else about the incident today. I wish I could tho! I’d like to get more money out of them lol

@@bostonreese4807 interesting!!! I know younger peoples bones are way easier to heal than older peoples. My grandparents own horses and my grandmother has gotten stepped on a few times over the years. Ouch! More recently was probably in the last year and shes 80 or 81 now. It always hurt her foot in some way, either with breaking a toe or somehow hurting her foot. Ive never broken a bone thankfully so i dont know how it feels but ive definitely injured/sprained my ankle when i danced😂

I had one of those flying Barbies as a kid, and I honestly didn't even realize it was a Barbie until this video. Also, way better to do outside. She can catch a lot of air, and gracefully come back down. It's wild to think I had half of these toys as a kid, but not surprised they were banned. The 90s were a different time.

The Polly pocket was banned because of the magnets in the clothes. It can be really dangerous if a child swallows multiple magnets as they can conect together while they are in diferent parts of the intestines essentially pinching it together creating a kind of obstruction.

@@jessicad83 You've clearly never been around kids :D they are lightning-fast and no one can have their eyes on them every millisecond of every hour. I think the hazard of causing necrosis in internal organs and possible death in a child is a pretty valid reason for the ban since it's marketed for children.. Ingesting a single magnet is whatever, but two or more isn't a stomach pump situation it's straight-up gastrointestinal surgery because it is known to cause holes in the intestines which is very quickly a deadly situation. You can still thrift some of the old ones pretty easily though if you're past the eating magnets age.

I was going to say that those tiny magnets will kill small children but I do remember my kids having toys with them. They also realised a Polly pocket in Australia that had the snap on clothes without the magnet. My kids had it. The rubber clothes were a total pain.

I didn’t think the dolls would freak me out but I can’t even lie the close ups of the cabbage patch kid made me get up and lock my doors

I remember owning that exact same Cabbage Patch Kids doll as a young girl. I will never forget the feeling of my finger being smashed inside its mouth... the plastic rotating mechanism pulls your finger in and pinches it a thousand times over making it difficult to pull out. It was extremely unpleasant and terrifying. It also hurt like hell.

I was in middle school when Heelys got really popular. I had a pair and would always ride them around in the mall, but they very quickly started getting banned from anywhere and everywhere. There were kids skating the hallways to get to class, carrying their wheels and little allen keys in their pockets. Eventually a rule came out in our school that you were no longer allowed to wear heelys with the wheels on in school. Same with tamagotchi, they became "too distracting in class" and were banned from school. Little did they know, smart phones were about 2 years away from taking over the entire attention spans of their students lol

My little sis had that creepy Cabbage Patch doll- she kept putting her finger in its mouth because sometimes the "food" wouldn't go all the way down- and then her finger would get stuck, and she would cry until dad pried the mouth open enough to get her finger out. She also had a My Buddy doll- that creepy thing talked- even when all the batteries were out of it- my mom threw it out the door thinking it was possessed. That Barbie was probably mostly banned because it's a rip-off of the Sky Dancers. There was another Barbie that was banned- Tattoo Barbie- because of the tattoo on her stomach- can't have little girls wanting big butterfly tattoos on their little tummies now, can we? You keep doing you, girl- love ya!

I loooooooove this hairrrr color and style combo

It's because it had magnets (the polly pocket). Swallowing rubber isn't advisable of course but you'd likely just get a stomach ache and poop it out, however swallowing hard plastic with metal and magnets has the potential to cause internal tears and worse if the magnet gets attracted to something. Also cabbage patch dolls are so creepy - I never understood why they were so popular.

Exactly, anything magnetic is more risk. If someone swallows more than one piece (one magnet and either another magnet or a metal piece, or one piece that can break into smaller parts), they can attract each other and when they happen to be for example in different sections of the bowel, they may tear through the bowel wall. That is why those little neodymium magnet balls are an extreme risk for kids.

The stomach acid eats at the metal case of the batteries And then the Acid inside the battery leaks, it will burn holes inside your body and it is a painful death!!! Many children have died this way!!! And yes, if you get several batteries and they are in different parts of the bowel and attract each other, you get twisted bowel, blocked bowel, damaged bowel... if they find it in time, then surgery can save lives, but Yes..kids have died!!!😢😢😢😢

The Polly Pockets of my childhood were the reallyyy lil ones. I'm shocked to hear that the rebooted/bigger Polly was the banned one since those clothing pieces were all much bigger than the OG Polly pieces.😂 Also, the Sockem Boppers jingle has lived in my head rent-free for several decades.

My mom has these really REALLY small pollypocket from like 1980s and we still have these like small, really small houses formed like a heart or like a triangle or smth and a whole city. I wonder how much it's worth today!
