Shopping at MyZeil | Frankfurt, Germany | Tour April 2024

The multi-brand MyZeil Center at the heart of Frankfurt am Main is one of Germany’s largest shopping and leisure complexes. Shopping, indulging, chilling, relaxing - all this over eight floors amid truly extraordinary architecture. The 42-metre Expressway, Europe’s longest unsupported indoor escalator, leads you straight into the action.

Underneath the glass roofs, visitors can view the heavens - and indulge in some heavenly sushi and tapas, divine fashion labels, and a fitness studio over two floors. Its transparent outer shell lets in a flood of sunlight to the Center and also provides a stunning view of the spectacular skyline.
Light and transparency, near and far - everything flows and you can let yourself relax and drift through the MyZeil shopping world.
MyZeil opened in the spring of 2009 and won an award from the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres) for its unique architecture and urban planning, with a commendation in the New Developments category.
Superlative shopping, leisure, and fitness activities, and a huge variety of eateries - this is the unique and diverse blend of businesses under one roof that gives MyZeil an atmosphere that draws in customers ready to spend, thus adding to Frankfurt city center’s strength as a retail location. The shopping center right on the Zeil - one of the busiest and most profitable shopping streets in Germany - is a top location for upscale retail that is easy to reach by public transport and by car. The Hauptwache S and U-Bahn stations close by link it to the rest of the city and its surrounding areas. The Hauptbahnhof and Messe stations can be reached in about five minutes, and the airport in about 15. Its direct access to the largest underground car park in Frankfurt with 1,390 parking spaces, 900 of which are public, ensures convenient accessibility for motorists.
The city center network of public roads and plazas is not only complemented by the new direct link between the Zeil and Börsenplatz via Thurn-und-Taxis-Platz but is also given a new vertical component thanks to the routes within the Shopping Center.
PALAISQUARTIER
Together with the neighboring office tower, the adjoining five-star luxury Jumeirah Frankfurt hotel, and the restored Thurn und Taxis Palais, MyZeil is a world of retail and experiences representing one of the most important city center projects in Europe - the PalaisQuartier. With its varied architecture and multi-layered usage concept, the PalaisQuartier is an urban environment for people’s various expectations and desires: working, shopping, relaxing, indulging, and living.
INNOVATIVE ARCHITECTURE
The many levels, exciting lines, and unusual perspectives of this shopping and leisure complex designed by Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas create a new architectural dimension linked with an equally new urban component.
The concept of transparency represents openness and the eight-storey atrium links all the levels together. The unique roof construction, with its organic appearance made up of sheets of glass of different sizes and finishes, is a particular feature. This predominantly transparent outer shell is used to bring sufficient natural light into all the levels of the MyZeil Shopping Center. An escalator takes visitors directly from the ground level to level 4 in 120 seconds. At 42 meters, this Expressway is the longest unsupported indoor escalator in Europe.
A HUGE RANGE OF OPTIONS AND QUALITY
MyZeil significantly enhances the surrounding city center retail options thanks to the introduction of top national and international brands. This is based on the high level of exclusivity of the retailers and restaurateurs. Each level has a specific focus. Within this, it is mainly brands that are not represented elsewhere in Frankfurt or the Zeil that have found a home here.
