Hi, we're Brandon and Alyssa. We saved $30,000 to travel for a year! For the first part of our adventure we lived in our 2014 Prius for 100 days traveling from San Diego to Canada and across the trans Canadian Highway. We've made it to Europe with no return flight, no itinerary and an endless desire to eat and drink EVERYTHING! Don't forget to subscribe to see where we go next!

    Sounds like an amazing trip! So apparently we struck gold as our hotel was $65 per night and it had a view of the Segrada Familia you can check it out in our Barcelona video kzread.info/dash/bejne/n3yXq6acaaXHqbg.htmlsi=rvd6IjSgAYjqx9iw But now that same hotel is like almost $200! We travels in January and the weather was nice, crowds were smaller and we got to see the three kings day parade! Summer seems to be a different story though.

    Title is misleading as this is NOT the fastest train in Europe. There are faster trains in France which go at 320km/h as opposed to this one which goes "only" 300km/h. Still one of the best, if not the best, high-speed train in Europe. And no, this train doesn't go 360km/h, even if you read it somewhere. It has a "design" speed of 360km/h but does not exceed 300km/h in actual service in Spain or any other country.

    great video! The only thing stuck out to me is that you said the train is made of 95% of materials that are recyclable, not recycled. Therefore this train could never be a bottle in the past, as those materials it made of haven't been recycled yet, they are only able to be recycled in the future. It's also a very easy to manipulate statement. If you measure percentages by a mass, of course 95, even 98% of materials will be recyclable, it's mostly metal, which is not that hard to recycle.

    @@HeresGoodTravelIryo train doesn't go 360km/h. It's their "advertised" maximum speed of what the train vehicle is capable if track conditions are met and speed limits allow (they don't). Spain has some lines that are in theory capable of 350km/h operation, but all of them are capped at 300-310km/h in practice. In France they are capped at 320km/h, same as in Japan. In China some lines (e.g. Beijing-Shanghai) are capped at 350km/h. Train vehicles themselves may be certified for far higher speeds such as 360-400km/h, but they never go at that speed in real life simply because there is no such track where they could go at that speed on a daily basis. Either way, to avoid misleading titles and confusion it's best to use the speed that is actually achieved by the train in revenue service. Alternatively, can use the permitted line speed which is almost always the same (there are exceptions of course). In this case both are 300km/h. Either way, this is NOT the fastest train in Europe regardless of which way you measure it.

  • @init100

    @init100

    @@DS.JThe design speed of the track usually refers to curve radii. High speed rail require a large curve radius and the higher the speed the larger the curve radius. Just as you can't turn your car as sharply on the highway as in a city crossroads.

That is, between Paris and Strasbourg, between Le Mans and Rennes, between Tours and Bordeaux, a small section between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, and between Dijon and Belfort.
