I'm thinking to put some cash in stocks, I was at Salt Shack and i overheard some friends saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?

Great video... but... what is going on with "the motley fool"? Getting spammed with "garbage" article all day. Better AI stock Nvidia Vs Disney", 1 AI stock that could be be more worth then Nvidia "amazon".... Amazon aint a AI stock, they put AI infront of every stock now, even if 1 office employee is using chat GPT. At this point 95% of the articles is complete garbage and of no use, what has happened to the motley fool? 😪

the problem with waiting for the valuation metrics to come more in line with the industry averages is by the time that happens the stock might have increased by 200%. For example Amazon's p/e had been astronomical for the first 10 years of it's life.

It just means how many shares the company has issued. Companies like Shopify are in the business of issuing more and more shares to pay employees and the board in the form of share options. From an investor points this is usually bad as more shares dilutes your shareholding as you will now own less of the company. Think of it as an anti-dividend.

I looked at buying this company 3 years ago when the price was 300 or more. This one is just too volatile, not enough profits, and too unstable for me. Maybe at a far, far lower price and valuation I would be able to put up with all of this. But given the euphoria in the large cap stocks and a possible recession next year it is a no brainer for me. I don't want it.
