Shop With Me at Prock's Crocks and Antiques - who needs a Goodwill when you've got this!!!

Trusty (unexpectedly) visits one of the meccas for decorated stoneware - and discovers some of the highest quality advertising and industrial pieces under one roof (two roofs, actually)
Prock's Crocks and Antiques is located in Springbrook, Wisconsin (or "downtown Earl" according to their business card) in a fairly remote area of north country woods and lakes. Located in a 1924 brick schoolhouse with an extensive annex alongside, Prock's carries far more than crocks! This video highlights syrup dispensers, art pottery, cast iron cookware, industrial tins, store displays and even gaming wheels.
And if Trusty couldn't be surrounded by all of that stoneware and not get tempted by something - so take a look at what he brings home!!!

LOL I live right near Middlebury VT. I had a friend that collected these oatmeal and blue crockery. Now I know why. It was local! That was a great tour thank you. I myself inherited some old crockery from my parents that was my Dad's parents. The jugs I believe are not valuable, but I scored the black and white 5 gallon Blue Crown with lid! Then guess what! I had never been in my parents attic before and my sister was showing me her old black rocking chair that was broken and sitting right next to that rocker was an all white 6 gallon Blue crown with lid!!!! Still had flour in the bottom! I don't care what they are worth, but even when I was younger I loved them. I just got a 11/2 gallon black and white at a thrift store for $4! No lid, it does not have a blue crown on it, but it looks great!

Oh goodness, it looks like the estate auction I went to yesterday is the way to go to find crocks. I was lucky enough to buy several for 55.00 each. Wonderful video tour of the store.

There is a store near me, in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, I think, that has a whole large section of those toasters. Frankie Yankovic is a polka guy from Ohio. The crock you picked up is very nice.

The Grey ground you collect is not great on these crocks is normally a sign of underfired normally well fired would bring oxides to the surface of the glaze giving it a satisfying warm brown hue

well...they've survived enough for me to enjoy them. And I love the grayish hue. But that explains why I don't see them as often. Thanks
