I liked the pine cone dishes! They would go so nicely with the brown drip glaze pieces. However I never got the cabin in the mountains I always wanted ☺️

Hi Poodle! In Maine the pine cone dishes would be good as our motto is The Pine Tree State. I liked the idea of the Corelle set as my arthritis gets acting up more often, lighter dishes would be nice! I feel like we premiered this video several weeks ago?!

​@LauraM1964 Do you live in Maine? I'm afraid the only place I've been jn Maine was Booth Bay Harbor, where our family got to go for my dad's conference back in the 70s. While our dads worked, my brother and I played with the kids of another family who were there for the same reason. We had a ball!!

@@twistoffate4791 I do! We live in Bangor, a n d are about 1 hours drive from Acadia National Park. Boothbay is a beautiful area as well. Maine has may sides to her all beautiful. Farmland, forests, mountains, the ocean. It's all special.

That purple Viking glass was very nice. When they quit selling furniture/jewelry here at the GoodWill I quit going there. They have started selling these items again here and it is great. Needless to say I am back going to the GoodWill and actually so are a lot of others too. Happy digging and safe travels

I’m in love with that wicker!! I think I would just have to take the Dresden home with me to save it… the thought it hitting the bins or landfill just doesn’t sit right with me… even if I just used it in the garden… at least it would still live!! 🥰

The Pyrex canisters are glass but the lids are plastic.

The jade tree store that was in spokane was in 1961. On riverside Ave. Founded by retired military man who "sold east items in the west".

It’s so interesting how other goodwill’s around the country do their sales. Where I am and I know you have been to Spokane. I am a Central Washington State. They have two colors. One color is half off and the other color is $1.79. We don’t have bins and I wish we did.

You might not if you shopped them! Goodwill bins are a free for all, great deals if you’re lucky but lots of junk and damaged goods and even broken glass to dig through

Yep, the look of silver/silver plate is beautiful, but I ain't gonna polish the stuff 😂 There are silver spoons here that look like cast iron right now 😐😅 That wicker set would, indeed, look fantastic on a porch, on a Victorian house. I really like older wicker. I wouldn't mind, at all, having that French Saxon China "Pinecone" set of dishes! I'd use it as daily dinnerware. I've always really liked pinecone, maple leaf or oak leaf and acorn patterns. Salem China made a maple leaf pattern I really like, and the R S Germany oak leaf and acorn patterns are a favourite. Even with the damage, I don't think I could've left the Dresden piece there, for that price. Getting it restored might be a bit costly and might be too costly for resell, but for a collector it would be worth it. A good restorer could make it look like it was never damaged. Fun time in a Goodwill...rare and fun to watch! Thanks for taking us along!!!

I’m a pine cone fan too! I’ve always wanted to set up a place with “Lodge” decor in a mountain setting. Poor wicker set being in Florida when it needs a Victorian home to enjoy! I had one piece of R.S. Germany with that pattern once. Glad you enjoyed this!

Monkeypod wood is a dime a dozen. It's KOA wood that's most beautiful and Native to Hawaii. Very expensive. It's heavy in weight. Generally darker than Monkey pod or Acacia that are used as fakes. I know you it was a mistake for you to say Hawaiian monkey pod George. I know because I've heard you say it before when what to look for. Oops. 😊

Yes you’re right! Koa is the better Hawaiian wood and much more desired. I will take monkey pod with the Hawaiian mark though

I hate Florida, there are hurricanes and my father moved there. He has a job there. The government should evacuate the people.
