Glad to see other people setting up real mills in their shops. I put a 4020 in mine at the start of 07. Wife still hates it. I absolutely love it. There is a steep learning curve in your first few years. Enjoy the experience. But I would suggest making or buying a tool holder rack.

I've visited your channel a couple of times now, it was about time that I subscribed. I am looking forward to see that Fadal making chips!

Out of curiosity, where/how did you get your start in all this, professionally or did you just dive in as a hobbyist?

I started out in college with an internship at a manufacturing facility. Learned professionally how to program, create processes, design and build fixtures - all the “usual” stuff you do in manufacturing… during my internship I started my “shop” at home (3D printers, laser cutter, and diy CNC router). From there I got a full time engineering position and just kept learning and pursuing the never ending knowledge you gain from experience, different machines, and the older guys in the shop. Still going today and still lovin it!… Don’t know everything, but love to learn and spread the knowledge.

Yep! I’m pretty sure it’s seated, but I’ll always check again before I setup tools. 🤘

Lol, yeah I wasss getting soft since I was melting due to all the heat😆... If I really needed to, I could make more room to fit another machine. And yeah, I got a shirt and should get it later this week! 🤘🛠⚙️
