I think simon is great. But I as a casual ferreter am finding it almost impossible to find the type of ferrets he is talking about here. Because proper rabbiters like him seem to trade between themselves and all I can find everywhere are people obsessed with silver or micro ferrets. No one selling the working aspect of their stock.

good video mate. we used to call mixed breeds ferrets (albino and pole cat types) "cinnamon". do you call the mixed breeds that?

No. because being in season can kill them it's imperative you allow them to recover

Good vid,my 2 jills have had 10 last seasons jill 2 died leaving 8 she was look a bit stressed so i'v put 2 with Blondie she seems better now now have 6 each..an 2 year old Blondie had 4, i read in the Book...the Complete Book of Ferrets...he say's the white pink eyed are called English Ferret brought here by the Romans.....there all 4 weeks...

I really enjoy watching your video on youtube. I have owned ferrets before but have never hunted them. Here in America we don't hunt with ferrets they are just little pets but would love to learn how.

You are NOT a responsible breeder. I know this was 8 years ago, but people still watch this. Here's everything he does wrong for new ferret owners to watch out for. He doesn't properly take care of ferrets. Ferrets need a water bowl, bottles chip there teeth and easily have bacteria. And even though he feeds a raw diet, it's just rabbits. Which isn't balanced at all. And second, ferrets do not belong in small hutches, cramped together and breeding all year round. It's inhumane. Now to do keep in mind, it is from 8 years ago and breeding ferrets as changed. I don't know much about this guy either, this is just what I seen from the video.
