Sydney Tramway Museum presents 'Shooting Through!'
Memories of the great days of trams in Sydney and Newcastle.
Additional material was added when the original videotape production was transferred to DVD in 2012. However, the production was not remastered so the DVD is videotape quality.
So the production is 16 and 8mm film transferred to video - analogue edited and then later the videotape was transferred to DVD format.

The commentary with the training of lady conductors was hilarious: "dragging your husband through the door on a Saturday night" !!!

i'm glad we kept our trams in melbourne they are better than buses !!!
IT Was a delight in lockdown to see the orignal members many now passed, in what can be achived with a project in mind using second hand timber sheets of iron and old tracks to become one of AUSTRALIANS FINIST TRAMWAY MUSEUMS its a pity the orignal depot was burnt to the ground by vandals but from the ASHES is a fine new museum which has become the museum today to those early members THANK YOU FOR YOUR DREAMS CAME TRUE after blood sweat & tears!

The only way to get it in HD would be to recapture the original film sources in HD and basically reassemble the production from scratch. The 'masters' for Shooting Through are video tape. We are getting some 16mm film from the museum archives digitized in HD as a pilot project and we may pickup some of the source material used for Shooting Through. However getting all the films held, scanned with modern equipment will be kind of expensive.

Maybe a go fund me fundraiser might help to improve the quality of the old vhs tram videos

4:16 Got that very wrong. Circular Quay is at the *NORTHERN* end of George and Pitt Streets(they run parallel to each other *SOUTHWARD* to Central Railway Station. So a tram ride from Circular Quay is a trip *DOWNTOWN* (cue Petula Clark! LOL)
