Well done Barry and Lynley - from New Zealand! There is nothing like launching day, wher after 1000's of hours toil, sweat, blood, (and tears) - one experiences every emotion a person can have. Your grin and exuberance when taking her out of the harbour says it all! My next visit to family in Scotland, will definitely include a trip to Dunbar and hopefully get to say hello. Again well done !

Excellent, loving seeing her working, and looking forward to more 👍 It's also great to realise that although you knew what her working conditions would be (I didn't), ie."worked hard & put away wet" that you still took the greatest of care with the whole build. One things for sure, she will never look better than she does now, but the battles scars will just show she's a lot more than a 'pretty' boat' Cheers, Neil.

Enjoyed that so intresting to see the effort that goes in before even getting out of Harbour, i have fished out on Trevors charter boat from Dunbar a few times.

That looked like hard work getting the pots off the pier Barry. What depth of water are You fishing in, what distance between each pot on the string? As someone else asked here would it be possible to get a look at the knots You use and how the pot is attached to the main line? Lots of questions from Me as usual.....🤣 Looking forward to seeing them being hauled...👍

Hi. Yes, it is hard work, that's why I actually had that showing in " real time" to show folks, how hard it is for a single handed fishermen...I do hope you enjoyed it.😁👌 We fish, right from the bunny holes at low water, right out to 20ftm, depending on the time of year its is. There's 12 ftm between each pot, that usual gives me enough time to empty a pot.😁👌 I shall make a point, on doing a vlog on the knots, and how we attach the Beckett, to the main line.😉👍 Thank you so much for the questions, I hope I've answered them in enough detail for you. This is just nosiness but I don’t see how you make a living with so few pots. Don’t answer if you don’t feel comfortable but you have a big investment in Lynsey B and seem to have had no income for three years. I don’t know the value of your catches but to me they can’t finance any kind of lifestyle

Oh, your absolutely right there Gordon. It's going to be very tight for a few years, but you reap what you sow, and we have to start somewhere. I really could have done this whole thing, a completely different way, but there would be no " new boat" to see out my days, at the fishing, and the channel wouldn't have been as interesting 🤣🤣🤣🤣 A good fishermen will make this work.💪😉👍 Thank you so much for your question.
