Shooting at Galena Bay
On May 11, 1894, a Sinixt man known as Jim was shot by Sam Hill, a settler at Galena Bay, south of Revelstoke. The story is a complicated one, and is part of the story of the displacement and eventual extinction of the Sinixt people in Canada.
