Multiculturalism and Racism in Revelstoke

Revelstoke was settled in 1885, with the coming of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The Indigenous Sinixt population had already been mostly displaced into the United States from their traditional Canadian territory. The new settlers were primarily British, and the other ethnic groups who made Revelstoke their home sometimes faced discrimination and racism.
