@@ChibiDesigns No that can't be. In our run Clarice chose to stay behind while Rachel worked her way back to the group and Eric still burned the parasite out of Rachel. But in our run the UV light wasn't broken.. maybe if it breaks somehow Clarice can grant a second chance if alive but it can't be the only way.

There’s apparently a secret one where Rachel can vomit up the parasite and then stomp on it. It takes a specific series of choices tho.

I thought that was just the good choice. By choosing empathy for Rachel and not doing anything in the QTE for Jason ( like just not shoot her )she will eventually vomit up the parasite👍

i’m pretty sure eric needs to live and have a good relationship with rachel so he extracts the parasite halfway to the cocoon

Fun fact, if her husband is alive (the blonde wimp), he can use a UV light to save her. If he's dead, which is easier than you think cos he's both a wimp and your previous choices bones him easily, she's doomed too. He can die after she's cured without consequence though.

9:50 but what happenes if Clarice is still "alive", she wasnt killed by her friends and you still turn Rachel? Usually it would be Clarice attacking them, with both alive shouldn't it be both attacking the Marines?

My playthrough I abandoned Clarice and Rachel turned into a vampire. Only Rachel attacked the marines and Clarice was no where to be seen.

@@cianosullivan6521 Then it depends on who turns last or at all. In our run Clarice choose to stay behind while Rachel wanted her to come with, Eric survived and cured Rachel with the UV-Light and Eric and Rachel were attacked by a turned Clarice.

@@cyrusmuller6502 not if you leave her behind as Rachel. Then Clarice shows up later when Eric and Rachel are about to climb up the rope. It's the same cutscene as when infected Rachel attacks Jason and Nick before they climb up the rope.

i think if eric is alive and has a good relationship with rachel he will use the uv light & she will vomit the parasite. if he is dead i think she might turn (not sure though, i only watched the game but never played it myself).

The Ratchel joke still gets me to this day haha

On my walkthrough I thought Rachel was gone kill is all

I played the curator cut and she didn’t stab the phosphorus eric saved her with the UV light instead and I refrained from shooting her because i was playing as jason during that moment

@@xxxilluminate5754 that's strange. Maybe the relationship among Rachel, Nick and Eric affected it. In my playthrough, they don't get along with each other. Maybe if the relationship with Eric is high then he may step up and help her with the UV light.

If she gets cocooned she’ll just reappear in the end credits scene, you dont need to do anything gameplay wise. The US army backup got her back up

@@cathedral1375 No she doesn't? You can prevent her from getting infecting if as Salim, you chose to save her, and as Rachel, you chose to left Eric while he was on Balathu/Kurum's chokehold (Ik it's been a year and you probably already knew about this but eh)

​@@arceliachan9136actually no. Regardless of your choices, she always gets infected no matter what, hence why this chapter happens(unless she gets killed by the bombs early on or impaled by a spear(which she automatically turns))
