Shonda Rhimes is inspirational. I am Indian and I had never imagined any western production would show Indian culture and Indian women in mainstream. Mindy Kalling's show always portrays India as an ugly backward world with little to no admirable trait. But Kudos to Shonda, she not only gave Indian women powerful roles, she made them desirable and admirable. Kate Sharma by far has been the strongest female character I have ever seen. An extremely selfless and headstrong woman who is overprotective for her family. She was in distress but she certainly was not a weak damsel. More so like Bella from Beauty and the Beast. I was so satisfied by the way she handled our culture- an extremely diverse culture in itself. She included everything- a little bit of North with "Sharma" and "didi", a little bit of south with "Appa" and a little bit of east with "Bon". And the best thing is, they cast dark skinned Indian beauties. For long in ancient scriptures Dark skin have been coveted and desired. The colonial world changed that mindset and made us feel ugly. Now times have finally changed, seeing dark skinned women rock the regency glamour. How the blues and yellows and lilacs all flatter us brown people... I am extremely at awe by how much the world loves and ships them. This is what have been long due. Shonda maybe of another race, but at heart she is the most visionary woman on the planet.

Times have finally changed? Really? so when and if you watch bollywood or watch indian newscasters and anchors on indian tv, do you see dark skin indian women playing coveted roles and reading the news? How much of a fuss do you make about this? Is it important to you? Do you expect to see female dark skin news anchors and screen and film actors or is anti-blackness in india completely off your radar?

I hope to see them both continue collaborating beyond Bridgerton series
For Shonda and her team not to be directly affected by the writers strike but still stand with then 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My grandmother use to read Julia Quinn books and would be smiling away! Now I know why she was cheesing so hard😂 I wonder how old she is she looks good for her age! I love that Shonda & Julia came together to make this masterpiece. Bringing the world together one season at a time! 😂
Great collaboration. Best part of interview is knowing that Shonda is siding with the writers and not writing although she doesn't have to. BRAVO BRAVO!!!❤❤❤

I love when the Queen says, "Sorrows, Sorrows, Prayers," it makes me think of the overused and under useful, "Thoughts and Prayers".
Shonda did an amazing job with this show
Shanda is so incredibly talented! She has me watching show after show again. Thank you! ❤
Sorrows, Sorrows, Prayers
Love, love, loved Queen Charlotte. I binged it twice in one week.
Julia!!! My favourite historical romance writer!!! And Shonda!! Thank you for bringing these wonderful characters to the screen!! Amazing collaboration between these two talented writers!! 💓💐
Can Shonda do remakes of Shakespeare plays like that would be so awesome.

PLEASE, NOOOOOOOOO!
Go Shonda and Julia!!
I think it’s pretty awesome that the show came before the book. No more over analyzing and dissecting how much the show doesn’t match the book because it came before it.
Shonda doesn't outline? Wow!
Nice to finally see her true heritage on display worldwide! #queencitytours
I LOVE that this is a book ❤❤❤
That’s the power of universality in stories. As a Black woman with such love for story telling and empathy in our humanness I can easily place myself in characters regardless of race language and geography. I’m proud of Shonda for being able to show this. Having said that and having grown up in a segregated society I still struggle with the integration in the Bridgerton stories 🤷🏾♀️ For instance, if it’s fiction, why not make everybody Black? 🙈 But great show and bravo 👏🏾
Queen Charlotte is a masterpiece. Congratulations to the producers and cast! 👏👏👏
I love this series. I can’t wait to watch it. Hopefully the strike will not last long.
❤❤❤❤❤I love this!
🎉Thank you for this story! I love researching royals.
Julia needs more air time!!
I would like to know what the difference between the book and the show is. (For QC. I already know the Bridgerton differences.)
Did anyone notice Gale is wearing the same dress/shoe in both interview 😂😂😂

Thank you Shonda and Julia for bringing this series and Queen Charlotte. Please ladies continue this.❤❤❤❤

Listen Shonda, the characters ethnicities are important to understand the dignity that royal families of the Moors, and other wealthy ones that were spared maintained and even attracted White European Royalty by heirs that did not care about the CASTE system and even thought about gaining power in marriage that was impermanent in many practices among royal families in order to procreate within a certain purity exchange for monastic majestic perpetuation.

...hmm, Julia Quinn didn't know "how" to include diverse characters in her story? That sounds inconceivable. Just include human beings and stories different from what is familiar to you/your reality. You can do that by interacting with or reading/watching stories/movies about people who are unlike yourself. Smdh.

Why have they truncated SHONDA'S first name and spell out the other's 🖤🤍
Why are they writing a fictional book about a real life character? I think thats.......odd

More than half of the media you consume is fictional stories based on real life people and events. They are often where writers get a starting point. I went to a musical about a King’s 6 wives and in the playbill they all had a real life modern day people that they were modeled after.

It’s not actually many other series do that like “reigns” and “the great”
There love uniting society was so stupid. The racial elements were so dumb. I don’t mind the inclusivity but I despised the anachronising og history especially when Charlotte was real and was par Moor but that wouldn’t have been identified as colonized Africans. The whole thing was really all over the place.
