I don't think anyone should be looking to Grey's Anatomy for realism lmaoo. I mean, how many of the surgeons at this hospital have died super violent deaths? What's good for dramatic TV isn't necessarily good for a healthy reality.

Shonda is just that woman that can write iconic lines. First 9 seasons of Greys had so many lines that drips Greys whenever you hear it. Even "So pick me, choose me, love me" has entered slang as "she is such a pick-me-girl". Even Ellen's daughter has said this to Ellen without realizing that Ellen is the original pick me girl herself.

Ehh Meredith was never a "pick me girl" though - that's not what that term means. It may have originated from that line, but an actual "pick me girl" is a someone who puts down other women to make themselves seem more desirable for men. Her ultimate goal is to make other women look bad so the guy feels like she's the best option. Meredith wasn't slagging off other women - she was just asking the guy she loved to choose to love her back.

Her response to "Men fail upward all the time" 4:35 was so funny!

She is so poetic with it and flawlessly comes up with memorable lines that you hear one time and still remember it 20 yrs later. Also credit to the actors for delivery.

I'm Brazilian and I can confirm that Private Practice is amazing and still very much loved around here!

HTGAWM is a project by Pete Nowalk. I think he is one of the writers who works with Shondaland. She was the executive producers of the show though.

For me, the premise of her shows start off well because I think you try harder to prove yourself as a good, solid writer, producer, showrunner. However, then they go downhill and off the rails. The writing quality and storylines become stale, unbelievable, absurd, redundant, cliched, and ridiculous, which is why I stopped watching. Not only that, but too many characters I love, leave. IMO, her earlier work (in most of the TV series) was great/better, but since she is now a "bona fide, iconic" star, she can write anything and people will watch it. Grey's needs to end, even though I realize she's not the showrunner on that anymore.
