The history of Kagura goes back to the Japanese mythology ”Amanoiwato Legend”.
It is said that the origin is the dance that Ama no Uzume danced in front of Iwato to lure Amaterasu Omikami, who was hidden in Iwato.
The meaning behind this performance is praying for good health and the story describes the fight between the deity ”Shoki” and an evil demon(Plague) who had brought about an epidemic.
In Oda City, Shimane Prefecture, there is a district where "Iwami Ginzan Ruins and its Cultural Landscape" has been certified as a World Heritage Site. In Omori Town, the townscape of Japan from the good old days remains, and there is the " Takyo-Abeke ", an inn that has revived the samurai residence built about 230 years ago over many years.
In this "Takyo-Abeke ", we will offer a relaxing stay with the concept of an inn to live in.
Both can be arranged to appreciate the traditional performing art Iwami Kagura only for the guests who stayed.
