Throw a pitch 100 miles, throw a slider like a boomerang, hit 45 home runs like a rocket. He can also steal bases. I don't think there will ever be a player like this in my lifetime. I want to say this to everyone. This is not a given.

Just had 2nd TJ surgery though. How effective he will be in 12-18 months will be key but if anyone can overcome it, would be him. Wish he could play 3rd base. ☺

Right now, I'm feeling like I just let the love of my life walk out of my life so she can be with her love of life, knowing it's better off that way for her - Emotionally devastated but happy knowing Shohei will be happier with the Dodgers. Yet Shohei never forgets you all, the Angels fans, Angels staff, coaches, & managers. I don't know how many times he had been thanking you all, in the First Press Conference of being a Dodgers, in his Instagram, and even at the MVP dinner speech after he became a Dodgers😢. Don't worry even Shohei is a Dodgers now, Angels fans are still deep appreciated in his heart. You Angels fans had one of those most precious 6 years (2MVP & a runner-up MVP) of Shohei that might be one of most beautiful and exciting moments and memories of Angels fans. Imagine if Shohei were not in Angels for last 3 years, how much more loneliness, sadness, disappointment, and frustrations you would have. If Shohei were not there taking the whole Angels team on his back while Trout, Rendon, & many others got injured, you would not gain so much happiness, excitement, pride, and emotional moving times as Shohei carried the whole Angels team on his shoulder and even to the point that he got serious arm injury & had a 2nd surgery which would prevent him to stop pitching at least a yr. So pls cheer for Shohei when he's back to the Angels stadium.

Who else would be scared shitless being the one to catch Shohei's pitches? I know I'm not alone here.

We will witness the coming of the GOAT of BASEBALL

Ohtani is gonna DH year one and when he comes back as an ace pitcher again this contract is gonna look like an absolute steal. This guy focuses on absolute baseball and his rest and recovery are elite. I have no doubts he will come back pitching again and be the most dominant player we’ve ever seen

For Dodgers, his signing is a fruit of its 10-years' love call. The scouting team visited his high school Hanamaki Higashi for the first pitch. Shohei actually wanted to join Dodgers (he wrote down the name of Dodgers in his baseball goal sheet). They attempted again when he announced his challenge for MLB, but Dodgers didn't have a DH system at that time. Now, as if it were a marriage arrangement, they are now connected, and Shohei "pledged to give it all my all" for the team and fans of Dodgers until then last day of his career.

Shohei actually predicted Dodgers were going to win a World Series Championship in 2020 while he was a high school boy (I guess in 2011 or 2012) & he thought he would be a Dodgers soon after his high school graduation. Shohei wrote his prediction down on a big paper and posted it up the wall in front of his desk & the posted words are still sitting right at the same dome room of his high school now.

Ohtanii fan here, so annoyed of the angel fans turning on Sho because he is leaving. For what he has done for. this team, I am so glad he left that franchise to win and cement his legacy. Dodger fan incoming

Well, in fact I think Rangers won '23 World Championship prevented Rangers to go after Ohtani seriously and Shohei also felt less challenging to go to a team just won their World Championship Trophy. Unlike Dodgers, their 2020 winning of only one World Championship was not viewed as a success because it was a shortened season, not a regular season since the new ownership started. Both Shohei and Dodgers share the same goal & mentality in winning World Championship Trophies.
