I can actually hear background noise but it sounds like a very faint train or bus. And from my visits to america, it fits well in the shoeshining culture that's newyork shoeshiners. Where are you located?

The angle this is filmed you can watch it normal and be at the guy getting his shoes cleaned point of view. Or if you watch it upside down, you're at the shoe shiners point of view

it's caused by excessive volume in that area of the shoe vs the foot. *SOME* creasing is natural and happens even with bespoke footwear, albeit very minimal. The closer the last matches the foot, the less you'll have. Some of my AEs have a lot, others on different lasts have a lot less.

Black wax could stain his jeans. Assuming he was a walk in customer and didn't sit there just for the video.

Chris Anderson I sanded the upper to take some of the finish off. After waxing the boots they have a shined rusty leather look. Hard to see on camera but they look really nice.

Yeah probably to get rid of the old wax so that the new coat sticks better to the shoe and lasts longer overtime

Why straight to the wax on this one? I like it when the steps of adding conditioner and possibly cream are followed after the saddle soap. I'm no expert though!
