    The beginning of this match brought me right back to the start of Gordon/Andre in last year's ADCC final. While the Atos fighter came out tense, jumpy, and looking to intimidate with cheap slaps to the head, the New Wave fighter was calm as could be. You know a Danaher student when you see one.

    honestly his mechanics and frames where so shit that there was no threat - he pulled to an outside ashi which literally gives a leg drag if you dont have your knee and a cross lat frame in front of the person on top. he missed everything. i think if he would have pulled/rolled inside the legs to an cross ashi (maybe with a victory roll as meregali was attacking the turtle) he could have initiated a much better scramble to end up on top or in an back take .but this was just not strategically smart. not saying i am better just thinking in a logical tactical aspect. @@af4396

Given those two facts, it would suggest that Tye has even less of a chance of winning now than in 2022. Since the probability of him winning in 2022 was technically zero (since they competed once and he lost), I'm struggling to see where the delusion is

  • @UnsilencedEra

    @UnsilencedEra

    10 ай бұрын

    @@jimmyjam86 I understand that probability is a long form statistic, meaning if you wanted to produce an accurate probability, you need multiple data points. For example, Tye vs Nick competing 1000 times. It's obvious that we don't have that. The only data we have is one match. Anyone that knows anything about statistics knows that if you evaluate one data point that has two possible outcomes(i.e. a coin flip) the probability of one of the outcomes occurring is either 1 or it is 0. If you flip a coin 1 time and it hits heads, the probability you can calculate of it hitting heads is 1. Period. If you want a legitimate estimate (i.e. closer to .5) you need multiple trials. We don't have multiple trials for these two competing, so the only probability we can calculate from actual data is 0, obviously. The point of this is actually that OP was using the term chance in a colloquial sense and using hyperbole to express his point. He wasn't referring to some technically precise definition of how to calculate chance. But faiz either deliberately ignored this reality or lacked to social cues to realize that that is how people communicate in casual environments. So my discussion on this was deliberately obtuse in order to express why it's silly to judge OPs comment as if it was some assertion supported by data in a scientific journal. You seemingly have missed this as well.

    Meragali is a beast...gonna have to face Gordon at some point. but seriously, for all the smack talk, I'd like to see guys like Duarte go to sleep or try a lil harder when in a submission...as soon as Meragali trapped the arm, Kaynan was just waiting. Also, this is a great reminder, you dont HAVE to be on the SAUCE(Duarte) to be a great grappler. Nicholas rockin' basically an in shape dad bod

    I thought from the beginning last night kaynan came out a bit hot and had too high of a pace the first half compared to Nicholas, came back to bite him in the end
