Shocking results on scan day? ...will there be any August lambs? Vlog 792
To be honest, I really didn't have a good feeling about this scan... happy to say, I was wrong and our boys and girlies did way better than I had hoped!
Rex and I also had a good conversation about joint ill in the bottle lambs, and fathomed a few things.
We graduated our older bottle lambs and moved them into the market lamb barn.
And finally, we are going hard trying to get soybeans planted!

Those lambs are so stinkin' cute, I laughed & laughed all by myself! I'd forgotten how playful & curious they are. When the 1st 2 went up the ramp side by side, I was laughing, "They think it's the ark!" Then they all turn around & come back down again! Lol! Then someone tries to eat the back of your shirt! Just like my old life teaching preschool & trying to get everyone dressed to go outside to play! So fun to watch your lambs, but very physical to win! I love you Sandi, just the way you are! You are so smart, your heart is pure love for your family, your career, & your sheep individually! Don't listen to anyone who thinks you should be in any way different than who you are bc it just wouldnt be you & a world without Sandi in it would be a big loss!😊❣️

Took the day off to finish planting my huge garden! What a pleasant surprise to get a Friday video! Any day with Sandi is a good day! So happy to know the scan was a success!
It always amazes me how long and hard you and your husband work.
I used to find myself sitting in traffic after work, crying my eyes out. It was just after I had my first child. I thought it was because I didn't want to be back to work so soon and have him in daycare. After 2 months of that while sobbing once again, I looked around at other folks stuck in traffic and no one else was crying. I went to the doctor the next day. He very gently told me he thought I had post-partum depression. I felt so validated. I needed medication, and it was game changing. When I had my second child I knew what to look for and was able to avoid medication (because I wanted to nurse her at least 6 months) by easing my stresses and having a lot of support people around me. Post-partum depression happens to about 1 in 7 women and is often their first experience with depression. It can catch you off guard. The great thing is that there is help and we can help each other with this. Thank you for sharing your experience Sandy.

And God bless Carissa....what else do you need? You got it all, girl! We love you!! Had to add...you are truly a wonderful partner for Mark...guess he realizes that...if not, smack him!!! I never knew until I started watching KZread how hard you farmers work. Thanks!
The fans were good investment. I know it was hard coming up with that big chunk of money to do it but overall, I’m sure you’re looking back and saying I wish I had done it sooner.
Sandi, Sandi, Sandi -- it's me again with my annoying reminder to bend your knees when you lift -- anything, please! You will throw your back out and be no good to anyone if you don't start taking care of your back. This includes when you bend over the gates and lift something up -- bend; when you lift a bag of seed/grain -- bend those knees. It takes practice and awareness. Thanks for the history lesson -- so interesting to hear how you began this part rt of your life! Tks!
@karenjohnson8945

Yes, I agree with the whole back thing. As my Dad used to say "benda the knees, not your back" & he wasn't Italian. Aussie through & through. I watch Sandi & cringe when she bends or lifts incorrectly. It's going to come back & bite her one day, sadly. I hope it doesn't, tho. I've had to have multiple back surgeries over the last 20 years. It certainly taken its toll & I'm only 59, 60 this year. I can no longer work as a Nurse/ Midwife bc of it.

Hello from germany. I stumbled across your channel a while ago and just want to tell you, I love it. The way you guys work on the farm together and especially you and you sheep. You guys calm me soooo much. Don´t get me wrong, I know when the ewes have their lambs, iit´s stressfull for you and by the time lambing comes to an end, you could probably sleep standing up, but to me seeing the new babies calms me in the sweetest way 🥰 Thank you for showing how well you do what you do 😊
Loading and unloading the lambs reminded me of a Carol Brunette comedy sketch.
Mark's a trooper dude. You both are! I've never seen people working so hard so consistently while being so cheerful and positive! Your attitude in life and your cute little lambs are what I love most about your channel and it really lifts me up to see it. Thank you for your encouraging presence!
Well, learning little tidbits about your life. So glad I found your chair. I am a 76 year-old grandmother that just loves learning all about you and your lambs and farm life. Thank you for all you do.
You are so amazing! I appreciate all you do for the communities. Thank you the mental peace watching you channel!🫶🏼
Those little lambs playing ring around the feeder, melts my heart ❤️ . But watching you lifting those big bags of soybeans, ouch Sandi you work so hard..Thank you 🐑❤️
I just had to watch today's video a second time and cracked up all over again! The lambs nipping at your butt, you getting them into the trailer with the ramp and as soon as you and Chrissa turn around here they come racing back down the ramp! And I love watching them racing from one end to the other and round and round the creeper! Joyful all the time!
💜💜💜 As much as I love seeing the sheep and the lambs, I love story time with Sandi in the field. Always some good little nugget to get from it. 💜💜💜

I love when you tell us stories of your past Sandi. It makes me feel like I know you even more. I can relate to another of your stories too. They may not relate to the same subject but, I could definitely tell you stories of my life that relate to yours. I'm so happy the scan went well and you're going to have lots of little lambs come August! I'm already praying for easy deliveries and healthy lambs and moms! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I'm also happy that Mark's been able to get some soybeans in the ground. I bet that's a huge relief. I went back to university during a divorce n 2005. I was 36, single mom of 3, getting out of a very abusive relationship, struggling to live mentally and physically day by day. Originally I was just determined to finish my bachelors degree. Found what I wanted to be early 2007. Started working my career fall 2008, 18 yrs later so happy I rarely look back at the hard times.
