Bad move I agree but the phone looks to have had a case on it and very likely survived without damage. Colombians are robbing foreign tourists more and more in many different ways and many are growing tired of it and taking their money elsewhere.

I don’t know if just taking the L is the best idea for the community. That’s why the girls feel comfortable trying the BS in the first place. A few years ago I had 2 girls try it on me and both got locked up. Some captain save a 403 (American) went and bailed them out of jail. It’s great to hear the other side of the story. The incident still looks bad for the travelers and expats in Colombia. This is another reason why it’s best to avoid street walkers. A lot of them will resort to extortion. Extortion is one of the leading crimes in Colombia, especially amongst locals who are business owners.

Main lesson to be learned.....you should go for a 10 or close, dont bother with trash. Dont travel all that way...and then go though a pick though garbage to eat. You can get a 10 or close, just have to pay and do some work. ie- the Head concierge at the Dann Carlton can get you a 10, going to cost you 1mil pesos or $300 USD. dont waste time with trash, do it right , or dont bother.

This story reminds me of the advance Secret Service detail for then President Obama's arrival into Colombia. One agent got a woman and the woman went off in the hotel screaming to get paid. The news and/or video got out and the whole detail was sent back to the USA. This was embarrassing to the Secret Service to say the least plus and investigation.

I like how respectful this channel is, your patience in reporting, not trying to be the first one. Anywhere you travel to you need to have personal insurance. In this case, because of the (immoral) P4P activity, whomever of them was involved in. What I mean is, have an expectation of loss in risky behavior. In light of this video, is why I’m now thinking this is a good idea. Some of these girls know that foreigners don’t want the police to get involved, probably don’t even know how to call the police, even if they are right. Most foreigners will not put their hands on women, unless they are stupid and things escalate and she get injured. So what is the back up plan? Pay them To leave. If you they don’t wanna start doing that because now a lot of women might decide to do the same thing she did, then they might have to change their activities.

These pros game is to get into your airbnb and cause a scene. They figure you will just pay them to go away. This is the reason why you should get a hotel with security. If you just have to have an Airbnb, make sure Airbnb has security for the building. Try to get in good with the security. Slip the security guard on duty some pesos. Just in case something goes down, you have security on your side. Get everything in writing before you enter the room. Get confirmation of the price in front of the security guard. Once she leaves the room, pay her in front of the security guard. You have to take precautions to prevent situations like this from happening.

Shouldn’t the dude be mad at the person who was with them and filmed the incident for publicly sharing the video?

It's not so important on what the real truth of the video was, but the impression that was made in the overall. What all that went on, girls screaming, tables breaking and all, not a good look. Once you get "got" like that, take the "L".. pay her fee request, and then GET HER OUT QUICKLY! Stuff like that happens occasionally but when it does move quickly to resolve it and get her out with little to no consequence.

And know when not to take that "L" to your hotel/airbnb room. There are lots of short time hotels around, if you are a foreigner picking up women on the street or in the clubs, go get a room! Most likely you cannot speak her language, and she cannot speak yours....so other than doing the deed, what are you going to do with each other?

I don't get why you couldn't play the video. I saw it on another channel and it just looked like some guys who didn't want to pay the girl as much as she wanted. It didn't seem like a "non monetary" date as they kept offering $100. I don't know the terms of the arrangement, but I would say that 150 or 200 for 4 guys is a good deal! And remember, prostitution is legal in Colombia so it's not a "shame on her" situation. I'm siding with the chica in this one, as she took a big risk being with 4 guys all by herself. And those guys are lucky they didn't get drugged and robbed. Those guys should have been more clear regarding the monetary arrangement, but in the end they should have just paid her and avoided the conflict. I agree with knowing when to take L. Unfortunately I'm going to disagree with just pay em' and with most commenters her. Let's first ask the question. In light of the feedback you got, what did the guy do wrong? He negotiated a price. He paid the girl. Business done. How many of us will make a deal and when someone tries to change the price, just pay em'? I mean I get it, but come on, I feel like there has to be a line there somewhere. All you do by paying them is showing them they can do it and win. It's bad behavior. On her part. Period. I'll repeat these guys did nothing wrong, they abided by the agreement. I happen to know of someone who fell for a similar scam taking one of them to a love motel. the SAME EXACT thing happened. He was in a situation where she demanded more money and was willing to get violent with him. The bottom line is you are STILL in another country. Not bringing them back to your hotel is NOT the answer. No matter WHERE you take them, they can still show they A$$. And that is a FACT. Take this situation to a love motel and what changed? She knows he's still more vulnerable than she is. This chick and her friend blocked the door so my boy couldn't leave. Threatened to call the police which he didn't want. He had to pay them. Not a great idea. You’re traveling to their country, with laws different than America or Europe. You can’t visit someone’s home and expect to call the shots, even if you are renting a room. Pay them to go away. Life is more precious than a few dollars. If the persons can’t afford to pay, don’t go to that country looking for women. Everyone knows what it is out there.
