Shocker, Marchand is still a dirt bag

Спорт

Brad Marchand took Timothy Liljegren out and the player would be very injured. We'll talk that and the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins on today's NHL hockey video!

    It's called ethics and sportsmanship. We don't go around murdering people because it's illegal, or against the law. Most people refrain because it's not in their nature. Most hockey players don't commit penalties to injure their opponents. This cannot be said of Brad Marchand.

    @@Fenrisulv987-nl8khoh no wonder why you people don't have a cup for 56 years. My god, didn't your grandparents at least make sure you know how to read?🙄 You got nhl rule books on the internet - Lily came up from behind and the side of Brad marchand who was pursuing the puck. He skated into his path, put his leg in front of his opponent to block him from getting the puck, He was trying to set up Brad marchand for a tripping call - and it could have worked but it didn't because lily initiated contact first. Repeat: LILY INITIATED CONTACT FIRST If he did not initiate contact first, you would have gotten your tripping call Now, don't you have someone else on the internet you can hate for a day or two? I'm sure Captain kangaroo has done something to offend Canadians 🙄

    Read the player safety reports. Brad Marchand hasn't actually committed an actual infraction since 2015 - 16 season. His latest suspensions have been based on appearance and reputation for the past 6 years. The New York Rangers complained about the arbitrary nature of the player safety committee and they were fined a quarter million dollars This has been going across the league to other players, but Brad Marchand often speaks up for other players like those being denied going to the olympics, He made a polite joke when a reporter asked him about Canadian fans - and after both of those media events he receives suspensions based on reputation and appearance of infractions that happened years prior And if you read the job description of the player safety commissioner - is to monitor the behavior and activities of NHL hockey players both on the ice and off Brad Marchand shut his twitter account down before playoffs this past year because he gets suspended for his tweets. And he always manages to say something to NHL doesn't like late winter or before playoffs the last few years. You're going to find out that this guy has been a pinata for the NHL - he cleaned up his act. His own fans weren't going to tolerate that years ago... But I seriously want you to start reading player safety reports - the next time one of your team players get suspended, you watch the play - read the actual report to see how they describe it It just might leave you scratching your head Behind the scenes, Brad Marchand is a nice guy - he's very passionate and he looks dirty and unusual because he doesn't back off where other players do. Every time he takes the ice, George parros has you trained to assume he's going to do something dirty So you totally miss everything else that's going on Like the fact that Lily was not playing the puck, he turned his head to look directly at Brad marchand, slid his body in front of his life and he wasn't tracking the puck. That was his mistake, along with initiating contact Look at the video - his head is sideways looking at Brad Marchand while Brad's head is forward tracking a puck That's where Lily screwed up. Live and learn, don't do it again. Hope he has a successful recovery You don't play Brad marchand, you play the damn Puck so he gets called on the tripping. When are you going to get it - that's how you put him in the sin bin Keep your eye on the puck and wait for his move. Then you got him see, I just helped your team!

    The leg has nothing to do with it. It's the stick however that's doing a can opener maneuver on liljegren's left leg. It is not something that you can do by accident. Marchand hooks his stick around lily's right leg, under the left leg and lifts up. Why people are looking for a slewfoot, i don't know, but its distracting from what is a very dirty stick play.

If they seen nothing maybe, just maybe, in the ultra fast game of Hockey the Leafs player went aggressively into the boards and hurt himself. Everybody keep on crying though just maybe eventually if you cry loud enough a Marchand suspension will magically form out of thin air to soothe your delicate little hurt feelings. #FnBabies

    There is a reason why this 1. Wasn’t called 2. Sparked no reaction from Leafs. Liligren initiated the hit. He would have won the ouck eace but he decided to cut back and box out Marchand, which is fair and legal of him to do. But if you watch in slow motion from the back angle, Marchand’s skate doesn’t actually kick out Liligren’s leg at all. Once hit, Marchand goes into a traditional “hockey stop” position to maintain balance which is why is front leg is so extended, hence looking like a common slu-foot. In regard to his stick, again there is not enough to determine whether or not this is intentional, considering the stick tie-up that occurs as the hit takes place. Its just as likely that Marchand gets his stick caught and when trying to lift it free towards the puck, Liligren is “tripped” because all of his weight is on his right skate from the hit. Keep in mind, we can watch this over and over in slow motion, but just because a player falls awkwardly into the boards, it doesn’t mean its always a penalty, especially considering that Liligren decidedly initiated the awkward contact.

    Wrote this to another video but gonna post it here too. I am a fan of Boston however not so much fan of Marchand. He has done plenty of questionable things but this one is not amongst them. He was going straight to the puck, Liljegren went in his way and put his own right leg in front of Marchand's left. After the initial collision Marchand was only using his skates to brake and not to go full speed into the boards. Check the slow mo video again if you don't see that. 0:34 You said it yourself. Look at Marchand's left leg. Liljegren went into Marchand's way and he had no other way to use his left leg to brake other than stretch it forward since he would be stomping on Liljegren's ankle from the outside otherwise. 0:43 ... that one's trying to slow down and stop yet his left does nothing similar. Watch what would happen if he would twist it the same way as his right leg. He would just grab his foot straight up. Srsly have you ever skated in your life?

  • @Dyloniuss
    @Dyloniuss6 ай бұрын

    He's not just stopping, he's also wide stance for stability specifically for a wall-battle, and he's moving forward and left to follow the puck's movement. That's why his feet are not fully angled for a stop or out in front of him. This play is literally just "Marchand tries to stop while getting to the puck, feet unfortunately get tangled, Liljegran goes down awkwardly" I hate that Liljegran got hurt, and I would put money on Marchand also feeling that way. it's pretty clear, if you've ever tried to skate in on a puck on the wall that he's just being stable and trying to stop. There are some times where slow motion and stop frames just don't help. They don't tell what the story of the feet are doing accurately. His left foot, because it gets tangled, cannot bring the toes in enough to properly stop, hence those stop frames looking like he's pushing forward, instead of toes in. There's a LOT going on here. Hockey is hard.
