Watching this already on my s9 lol but great vid though ....Definitely would have regretted if i bought the fe or an ipad pro with lcd screen.There is no comparison for amoled displays, the crispness is just amazing

Got S9 FE for about 250$. Happy with value that it offers at that price. I also had an option to spend 200$ more for S9, but didn't end up buying it.

The KZread video not being in full screen skews the results because KZread is in dark mode, and AMOLEDs would save power on the areas of completely or almost black, whereas the FEs use an LCD and wouldn't save power. Since no one watches like that, you should use full screen instead, which represents a much more accurate form of content consumption. The black areas may be smaller or completely gone, depending on whether or not you completely zoom in on the video or leave behind the black bars which would be closer to how we actually watch KZread and stiffles the black area power saving effects.

Thanks for the review! But I have a suggestion video that I think can really help people out. Can you Compare the IPad mini 6 vs the Samsung S9 FE. Lately in Amazon they are selling the mini 6 for 399$ I hope you can compare it to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Because they are both close in price.

Quick compare with Your other iPad drain test. The S9 has 9,5 hours and iPad Pro 11 only 6,5. That's not a small difference. Thx 4 the share. Super work. 🙂

Thank you for this. I got my iPad Pro last year before the S9 Plus came out. I use it for work all day outside. My issue. You can barely see the screen when the sun is out to show customers products. The battery dies in 2.5 hours to 3 hours. I am constantly charging it with a power bank all day. I'm getting the S9 Plus tab this week.

Hi there, thanks for this AWESOME video, I'd like to ask which one of them is most likely not to overheat, please? This is because I bought the latest samsung phone recently, but I'm facing the issue of overheating with the device, and it is very uncomfortable. Hence, which tablet is mostly likely to last longer and not overheat? Thanks.

Great video. But, please try to include a 12hour standby test after about 4-5 hours of use. A lot of people use the tablets only for an hour or 2 a day so good standby times are important.

I want to ask something. There is graininess on my Samsung s9+ tablet. gray and in those tones (I use night mode and extra dark on, it is obvious in many places such as google play - youtube - files - settings - edge panel, you may need to look more carefully in videos with certain moving content, but it bothers me to see it in many places. If I knew they were going to change it, I would take it to the warranty immediately) . Frankly, I'm still not sure if this is a bug or a normal problem that can occur on AMOLED screens. Normally, it does not bother much while consuming content, but when you look closely, it can be easily seen when you hold the device in your hand, that is, in generally low and high light, but it is not visible when you place the tablet on the ground and look at it from a certain distance. My monitor is not OLED, but when I look at it closely (32"), I can easily see the pixels. No matter how close I get to my phone, I don't see anything external that I can see from a normal distance. I wonder if I send it to warranty and ask for a one-to-one replacement, can I get a positive result? If I had the opportunity, I would buy an oled phone with an amoled screen and not a large one. I would like to look at the screens and test them. It is not easy to test because the lighting in the store is very high and I could not get a clear result.

Dont get why they give u fast charge option when it will clearly destroy the battery in the longrun and if u domt buy a fast charger then they gonna take ages to charge I have an old tablet that proberly takes around 3 or 3 and a half hours to charge

Hi will the galaxy tab s9fe have slighty better battery life than my Samsung galaxy tab a 10.1 inch 2016 model s9fe at just over 7 hours in your test dosent seem great but am geusssing it can do better depending on what you are doing seen some people say general use there getting a good 10 hours on it it has a slighty bigger battery than my tab a but theres probably a better screen on the s9fe

Thank you so much for the comparison. Had been waiting for it... I just bought the S9 ultra 2 weeks ago. As impressive as this behemoth of a tablet is, I have decided to return it and downgrade to S9 FE plus just for the sake of mobility and being able to carry it comfortably. Although S9 plus exists with better battery life and superior SD 8Gen2, I don't use my tablet for gaming or any CPU heavy tasks. I hope this tablet can last me about 2 years, which I can see it should... Let's see...

This is intresting The ultra got 1h more of battery vs the s8 ultra but the s8 ultra beat the ipad pro with around 3h that means s9 ultra beats it with 4h ;D and that is a bigger more pixel screen on s9 ultra wonder if apples new ipads have better then 5,5 h battery lol

I got my daughter a tab S9 FE and battery life is horrible! She will play Roblox but after 6 hours it's dead. Needs to be recharged. I also have the battery saver program active. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm about to return it and get another

Roblox drains battery very fast, the same happens on iPhone, iPad or Android phone. On an Android tablet, 6 hours of playing Roblox is a good result :)

Maybe you should do a test for taking notes as this is one of the selling points and main uses for adults. I have s9 FE+ and S9 FE they literarly score 16 Hours on taking notes on white screen. I had 2 weeks the S8+ it had only 8 hours. This numbers apply only to the 70 % range usage of the battery, I mean I was charhging from 15% to 85% and counted the time. My number are pretty different from yours becasue they have different context of usage. Your test being for general usage it does not emphasise particular aspects which can lead to big differenceies according to specific usage .... and this I would say it is pretty darn important, becasue it led me to take back the the S8+. I alos reduced to minimum the refresh rate, but on FE it drops to 30 while on Flagship drops to only 60.... which again, drains more battery. So the less intensive use leads to a huge difference of battery life.

You know what this boils down to?? EXYNOS is worse than SNAPDRAGON

Thank you for your kind videos. But, I heard s9fe LCD brightness (almost 600nit) is much brighter than s9 (around 400nit). So if you compare these tablets with 100%brightness, it's unfair. s9fe s9fe+ battery will last longer with same brightness. (sorry for my poor english)

All Android Tablets have the same problem: Nearly no Apps specific for a Tablet Screen. Most of the Apps are just Smartphone Apps, blown up to be presented on a larger Screen. So they are limited to their Browser and a few Apps, which are delivered from the Manufacturer, in this case from Samsung. But not nearly as what you'll get on an iPad. In my Opinion all Android Tablets are just useless. And the decreasing sales shows exactly this.

no, try one before saying anything. All the average user apps are available and optimized. There are a ton of great note taking apps. It only lacks in the niche segment with Video and Photoediting. Additionally iPads are losing market share, while other OEMs are gaining it.

Applications are currently written taking into account screen size and resolution. This is true for both Apple and Android devices. What you wrote in your opinion is not currently the case.

Samsung phone and tablets are the worse when it comes to their battery. Pity for a well known brand, their battery drain so fast !

No shocker that the Exynos Tab S9's performed the worst by a significant margin. It is a shame that Samsung sells inferior chips and hurts customers to save their Fab business. The Exynos versions should be avoided. Either pay extra for the SnapDragon versions or buy a tablet from another OEM. Efficiency and performance could be more impressive on the Exynos. I can see why battery life has improved with the new eco displays and modem. Both have 30-35% greater efficiency than the Tab S8 line, which had the SD8+G1 two generations back. Improved RAM and gen3 4nm TSMC rather than gen1 4nm also add up to a big generational improvement (Tab S8 to Tab S9). Nice devices, but now Samsung tablets are closer in price to iPads, the iPad become more enticing, especially with the new dual-stack OLEDs coming in a few weeks with an M3 chip and a new design.
