I just got the tab 7 Fe for $199 with a trade in of a old free Samsung tablet. This tablet is such a beast I know that S8 ultra is just amazing. Of course I got the Wi-Fi version with the good processor seeing as how there's like two or three different variants

@@Xcrv Sorry to be that guy but Samsung has maintainance mode. My friend recently repaired his s23 and he put the phone to maintaince mode. I saw this feature from like note 20 lineup and iPhone from 14 model.. oh guess what many iPhone's data were leaked 💀💀 Honorable mention that all the data or downloaded apps are disabled and you will require the device pin to unlock the data

I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and I love it... I was concerned about possibly cracking the glass as the S7+ that I had before this one cracked very easily... But after seeing this abuse test I am more confident of it's durability now...

Seeing as how that didn't snap - which i wasnt expecting - i feel like we're due a teardown! Not necessarily for the repairability aspect of it which I'm willing to bet is quite poor but more so to see why and how it actually managed to keep itself together

I have the Samsung Tab S7 and love it this thing works flawlessly.
The fact Samsung engineers can make something less then 1 cm in thickness and yet 15 inches in diameter this durable insane. I can imagine over 100 lbs of bending force and yet it stayed straight as an arrow. Impressive

Yuh, the iPad did survive the horizontal bending tho and for the vertical one, he has to use lots of his strength to make it bent.

Actually making the tablet wider makes it more snapable as you can apply greater torque plus you get a better grip to apply that torque!

@@nimitkhandelwal1547 yes, but it technically makes it more durable for Jerry's specific bend test as he's only able to place the fulcrum as far as his thumbs can reach. the tablet is so wide that his thumbs are relatively close to the edge than the center. I would like to see him push in the center with the sides locked in place, to see whether his strength alone can break it.

As a first time watcher (and new subscriber) I was not ready when you snapped the pen first thing. I held my breath and mouth hanging open when you scratched the sides and the back with the razor. I finally snapped out when you attempted to snap the tablet. Wow. Awesome job and incredible video! I will definitely be watching more of your content!
I came upon your podcast by scrolling thru KZread and I seen the headline on the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra. So I watched and I said to myself 'what the...'. However, it did get my ATTENTION so I did press the SUBSCRIBE button. Cannot wait to see more. Also, GREAT artwork of the dinosaur and volcano.

Im getting this tablet in a bit, durability isn’t usually all that important to me since I’m always very careful, but wow that’s actually quite impressive! I didn’t expect it to be that difficult to snap, sure I expected it to withstand some pressure but that much? That’s really reassuring since it seems kinda fragile

@@ankursmooth adhesive won't help in the bend test if the device is thin since there's not much to adhere to here.. It's definitely got metal supports inside.

@Xyran Kashyap no I'm not defending apple, don't particularly use it. I just find it irritating now, everytime I visit a comment section people are always fighting over which one is better "Samsung vs Apple" or "Apple VS Android" in general. Each has its own pros and cons.
I've been looking forward to this one. I hope you open it up in later vids...

right?? I remember xbox teasing their 1 tb console just a few years ago and I couldn't believe it😂😂and if Moores law holds true 1 tb won't even be enough for a game pretty soon here
it's actually insane that this survived the bend test while the relatively small Oneplus 10 Pro didn't...

Size can also help, so it can "bend more" without cracking :D and as its more bending the more the tension change in the structure :D

I've had mine since the release date as well. I love it. I was irritated that it didn't come with a charging block, especially since it supports higher amperage charging. I got the higher amperage block and supporting cable, it goes from 0-100% in ~90min. The finger print scanner is truly amazing. It will scan even dirty fingers.

I had full confidence at my recent upgrade decision but when it started to flex a lil , it did gave me a scare 😄 But survived the ultimate bend test .......... smelling success while commenting from it on this video 😁✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Hi Jerry. Nice video … as usual. I was very surprised it didn’t bend. BTW, you are a talented artist. Love the Dino. I would think it is much more difficult to draw using a razor blade on metal, as you are scraping, than drawing with a pencil. Again, great work 😍
You'd think I'd be immune to the stress test over these years,but no. I can attest to Samsung tablets durability. They are sturdy. Good job on video!

When a 15 inch tablet doesn't snap while a decently thick smartphone (OnePlus 10 Pro) does. Gotta love when physics play a trick card on you.

For a moment, I forgot I was watching a JerryRigEverything video and I was admiring the tablet. When he snapped the S-pen into two at 3:02, I snapped back into reality and prepared myself to endure what was about to happen to that beauty.

One aspect of durability that I think you miss in these tablets is the pen. I bought one of these 6 months ago and the pen tip has already broken twice. The first time I could replace it, but the second time it broke so deeply in the pen that it couldn't be removed and the entire pen had to be replaced, which cost me $70
I'm impressed. I was sure that it would snap at the bend test, but it actually completely survived. well done, Samsung! :D
