Ive had exactly the same thought. They are a real good example of foreigners who truly travelled around serbia and find ways to actually enjoy themselves even though it is off season(cold, dark and miserable) plus covid... I reckon they would have a blast if they came in spring-summer time! anyways, I truly enjoy watching them! good on ya guys!

That is what deters people from coming, these type of comments. I'm Irish but live in Belgrade. People "will" come, to experience the beauty of Srbija and it's fine people only, they're not interested in geo-politics. My nation has fought the UK for 800 years, no surrender, yet the Brits still occupy Ulster,, but that's not a selling point to tourists. When I relocated 17 years back as my wife is Serbian, people were saying it was a bad move, reading this, in their minds, justifies their thoughts.

@@burroughsw5058 What offended you so much that the man wrote that the Drina River is not a state border for Serbs? if you can't accept what Serbs feel, then you and your wife get lost from Serbia, do you think that because you are a foreigner you have the right not to respect Serbs and shit what ever you want ? be careful what you write and remember this, who gives a fuck who will come to visit us or not , nobody is calling you

There is actually a spot in Serbia with a view to match, but unfortunately the place is completely on the opposite part of Serbia from where you are now. There are two lookouts, one is called Ploče the other one Veliki Štrbac, and both are situated in Djerdap National Park. From there, you can see the Danube at its narrowest on its course to the Black Sea. And from there you can also see Serbia's border, but this time with Romania. Danube is second longest river in Europe (first, if you don't count Volga which is entirely in Russia).

And please don't miss oldest locations in Serbia: Lepenski Vir - the oldest human settlement in Europe (beautiful nature of East Serbia with Djerdap canyon too), Vinča near Belgrade - neolit civilization and Sirmium - 'In 294 AD, Sirmium was proclaimed one of four capitals of the Roman Empire' . Alongside of Danube there is Đerdap national park with great viewpoints of the river and Romania. The best view point is Ploče because you can see the narrowest part of the Danube gorge. There is a direct coach line Belgrade - Mitrovaz, then take a taxi, hitch-hike or walk to the viewpoint.

If you are going back to Belgrade, to spend more time there, visit the museum of Yugoslavia, and Tito's grave, that is very interesting to see... also you can go and visit Nikola Tesla Museum as well, and check the inside since you can't find it anywhere else in the world. Love long and prosper!

since you mention pronounciation here is little tutorial. Bare in mind this rules are for all slavic languages and most others central and eastern european languages. 1. "j" is pronunced allways as english "Y" 2. "c" is pronunced allways as "zz" in "pizza" all other mistakes dont change word drasticly so dont bother about that. You should try stuffed pappers "punjena paprika" that is much better meal than sarma.
