The crying is totally understandable. They're so young and innocent it's so hard to see them struggle. Especially the youngest ones, but they can't choose everyone. It's a harsh environment for even an adult, but it is nice to see them handle everything so gracefully.

Same, whenever I think Win who's next, mix n match with Bobby on smtm, mixnine, ygbt. I realized those trainee are strong.

After watching this survival, you will learn that YG doesn't like skills that are not improving. He likes someone who can offer something new everytime. In short, an all-rounder and someone who learns/improves fast. That's why it was understandable that Mashiho and Jeongwoo were chosen since they showed a new skill to everyone, knowing that they were from a vocal line-up. It was surprising but amazing at the same time.

The first Treasure 7 line up was already perfect and powerful but, well, you know, we needed chaotic members 😆 Well Jeongwoo is already chaotic, but we needed more chaotic members like Asahi 😆

@34:20 That's Korean entertainment for you. As an idol, you don't just have to sing and dance and rap. They're trained for variety, too. Just like hosting, public speaking, sports, even acting, and so much more. During variety shows, hosts would ask idols to show special skills and you have to make an impression not to the fans, but to the mainstream public and general audience. In that way, it will help the group become more known. In the k-industry, you won't survive with just skills alone...

Oh I totally get it, I grew up watching a ton of ridiculous Italian and Spanish variety shows lol. I just wish they were more quality than...whatever that was 😭😭😂

They were even trained for leadership. when in the beginning the top performers were given the tasks to be a leader even ruto the youngest in J line was given the task. The way YG challenged hyunsuk. Acknowledged Jihoon's leadership when he stepped up after jun hyao( sorry dont know the spelling of his name) cannot lead the treasure B group. He always asked for Yedam's opinion and observation. He was already training them to be leader materials. Confidence and ability to lead the group.

You can see these trainees not only have such great potential but also such sweet and kind personalities when the top7 came back and a cry party started, each supporting and cheering for the other 💙

the top 5 was 2rappers and 2vocals so they chose 1 dancer/center so junghwan was the most potentialed Center😊 And now looked at him now killing center position❤ yg got good eyes on Potential Talents. The remaining 5 are all singers and yg knew that they already got good voices so when mashiho and jeongwoo rap they proved that they can be also do other skill. the 1st top 7 was resonable.

They underestimated Junghwan, I felt so bad when I watched this. That is why I was rooting for him, he is the underdog. So proud of him for being so strong and he proved them wrong, he deserves to be in TREASURE. That's our golden maknae ♥️ Btw, this is my fave TREASURE 7 ♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥

here it was shown that he had a problem during their intro. Had to repeat until he got it. Now, most if not all of their songs , he is the intro boy. so proud.

I don't wanna say this but I'll just say it. Whenever there's clips where Mashiho was present, it makes me emotional. He fought so much during this time. 😭 Mashiho comeback!!

14:03 Mashiho was focused as a vocalist so it was truly unexpected when he volunteered for rap.What's even more insane? His main skill is actually dancing. In fact, Treasure calls him 'Teacher' because he does their choreographies best and learns them quickly. He's trained longer than Bang Yedam too. But he's been mastering different dance sþyles since he was 5. He once shared that he did more dancing lessons than playing. Maybe that's why he got his own dancing style and he does it so effortlessly. He's truly an ace. Would you also believe he's great at basketball, table tennis, bowling, soccer, and cooking? He's a super human, for real.

I've watched ygtb realtime, watched over 30x already but tears still keep falling everytime. Their journey was not easy from ygtb to now, they've been through so much pains and heartaches but instead of losing faith and giving up these kids fought back, these kids work even harder to prove that they are worthy of everyone's support. My heart aches each time they ask for fans to stay with them and that its worth it to support them. Its hard to sing and dance at the same time but treasure work hard so they can do both. To show fans how grateful they are they always sing live in all their performances. It's amazing how they value their fans and realy gives back by giving their best

Everyone, including me, was shocked at Junghwan's selection on this but it all made sense now, seeing him as the artist that he is at present. I still wonder how the heck can YG see potential at an early stage of his trainees.

yg choose junghwan maybe he already made his mind that from 2nd team he'll choose jeongwoo and at the same time he didn't want to lose junghwan

that's right. so that jungwan no longer needs to do the battle with the remaining. Jeongwoo can surely survive since he's already good.

Junghwan wasn’t bad but he wasn’t as talented as other trainees at that time. But what’s fascinating was that he has this aura where people will look at him every time he performs. He has this star aura, and I thank YG for seeing that when other ppl doubt Junghwan. Thankyou YG!

I forgot how brutal this show is. Why am I even rewatching this again?? Both Seunghoon and Jeongwoo were part of my faves during the show so you can imagine how painful this was.. but Yongue was such a worthy opponent I couldn’t even be mad about it coz I also adore the kid’s voice. 😩 A good pick-me-up after an episode is to watch their reaction to it. They’re all goofy about it that you wouldn’t think they’re watching themselves getting traumatized. It’s also kinda adorable to see all of them interact behind the scenes. Bonus, it also contains Yoonbin laughing and smiling! 😄 And they’re only 2-3mins long each so you can easily sneak them after the episodes. 😉

Jennie already seen hyunsuk before treasure box because he was one of the participant in Mix Nine(survival show, he was supposed to debut but it got cancelled) and Jennie is one of the judges (I think)

How many times have I watched reactors about YGTB every time I'm still anticipating the next episodes eventhough I knew what will happen . This is how good YGTB was. Specially if the reactor is also so invested like you that I will go again with the same roller coaster emotions that I experienced the first time I've watched it.

@@marcogennuso I still believe in destiny. Trainees that were not chosen did not mean they are not good. Some might be because it's not time for them yet.They were not yet ready. Some were just not fit to what YG was looking for. Some were probably destined to be in a different group like the guy that you said in checkered shirt. Look at jihoon , he left YG before because he did not show improvement but later he was given second chance, finally debut and even became one the leader in treasure. His destiny is really for treasure.

Just a little fun fact: Going Crazy is actually not that foreign atleast to Treasure A's (not all but yedam, junkyu, hyunsuk and others probably)since first, yedam was the one that sung the demo but also they also performed the song at an assessment before. It was revealed by a former female trainee at yg.

Just imagine the feels we had while watching this the same time it aired!! Ugh I don't wanna go back.. its too heartbreaking. At least now you have a clue who won but that time was brutal. I have to say that YG did the right thing, in my mind, in letting Seunghun & BX move on. Neither would have fit in the group that became Treasure. BX's rapping vs the original 4 rappers chosen, was not as strong and Seunghun vocals were always just over the top. YG is looking for a mix that balances each other, with no one to grap the "spotlight" all the time. A smaller, more mature group like CIX is definitely a better fit.

lol don't misunderstood, the talent video assessment actually means to do aegyo challenge to charm the viewer. You know, YG artist known kinda bad when they had told to do aegyo in korean variety show. Focus on talent only, Aegyo is YG artist weakness if to compare with other kpop artist. That's why, you can see all trainee confuse to find their own aegyo style especially the senior trainee, because it's a new challenge for them. Since treasure, aegyo and visual become new add weapon for YG to compete with new generation of kpop. Blackpink there to judge their charm/aegyo, while talent and skill already judge by YG and producer itself hope that help....

I watched the Boy music video on their debut date. I was instantly hooked. I had it on repeat for a couple of days. Then I watched Treasure Box and actually wept. I grew so much respect for them because regardless of the competitive environment they always led with love. After that I immediately started Treasure Map and I fell in love with them. I credit Treasure for getting me out of my 2020 depression. Because of them I went from crying everyday to laughing everyday. It feels silly looking back but they saved me.

Just think of it in a producer point of view. Especially Junghwan whom mostly all looked down to upon. Why i said this becoz from this ep forward, this 13 y/o (intl age) suffered great discrimination until debut, especially coming from those fans of old trainees. junghwan may not be favored during early stage of the group both fans and even the staff, seeing how little his exposure and parts are, but look at him now especially their latest comeback and tour concerts, YHS proved every haters and critiques wrong of his decision to fight for Junghwan’s position in Treasure. YHS knows how to run his money and hes betting it all on Junghwan. And im proud to say that im one of those who trusted his choice and fought for this boy til now. Junghwan is now growing tremendously visually, physically and talent wise. Hes now part of the group’s main dancer position.
