Shnootz - Reaction Video (Bridges - Need No Doctor)

What's up, people! I'm back with another Bridges reaction, and the penultimate tune on their 2018 album Vakenatt, the dreamy, psychedelic-style "Need No Doctor," a track that reminded me of Pink Floyd (though I don't know their catalog that well) and seemed to have some tension/irony in the lyrics. This one is short, but still made an impression on me. Cheers!

I am sorry I missed this one yesterday. Got busy with pet gigs and hanging out with a friend. Thanks to the Ahassistant, I am here now. 😁😉 I like this short little song. Love Pål's voice and the music. Yep, no fancy wording from me again. More "Me like song. Pål sing good. Music good. Oooga Booga" I do have to add that I so love your expression around 2:08-2:10 when the music paused. 👍😂

This is indeed the shortest song on the album, though there are a couple more that are almost as short (like the previous one, Faceless City). It always sounded like a sort of interlude to me, a slow and uncomplicated atmospheric piece between two more fast-paced songs. I enjoy it as such, and I haven't much to say about it. Lyrically, it seems to be about a writer's block and I guess it can relate to Paul's songwriting. "Find some words to fit my song", "Find some words to close the night". I imagine Paul at the end of a long night trying to find lyrics for a song and feeling tired. That's all I make of the lyrics. In fact, according to Magne, the original title of this song was "Words", and he wasn't happy with the change. He even said this was one of his favourites among those they wrote together at the time. One more song to go, and we finish the Bridges chapter. Thank you for this ride. Magne will have a new album out next month, so maybe it will be time for more Furuholmen Fridays. Hopefully we will get a single or two in the meantime. 😉

Thank you for honoring John Adams and Thomas Jefferson by wearing sleeves. When George III wanted to tax "light undergarments with an arm covering", it pushed them over the edge. They wrote to parliament in the strongest terms "No taxation without arm liberation!". You do them a fine service, sir. I salute you. They would deem you a fine gentleman, upholding the British, nay, now the American spirit of covering one's shoulders, but showing the elbow of liberty!

@@handsolo1209Victor Borge? I just looked him up and he was Jewish so no, that wouldn’t have been allowed.😂 American History is mostly written by straight “Christian” white men who mostly wrote about straight Christian white men. (They would say they were ALWAYS the victors, but would try to hide or sugar coat anything to dispute any of that) 😂 They did sprinkle some “others” history in there and darn it, a few times some “others” were able to sneak in and tell a tiny bit of truth about “others” history as well as some dark times, but straight Christian “white” men did their darn best to cover up that stuff. They still really do. 😜
