🎵I dream myself alive🎶 Wow... that was fun. Funny how quickly my ears picked up on that. I must be becoming a more serious fan. That or I am nuts. We can go with the first one. 😋 I am working on catching up here after my trip. I so highly recommend visiting Roslyn, WA and the area around it. Holy cow! I used to watch Northern Exposure and think "Surely they are adding special effects. That area can't be THAT breathtaking, can it? " . Yep, turns out it can be. Wow!
A very interesting listen especially with me being a huge A-ha this is an amazing piece of there history , I need to checkout more of Bridges 2nd album,

A very interesting track…it’s more a wild card rather than a wildfire in my opinion. I’d describe it as is a miscellany of thoughts and experimentations of tempos & sounds…with familiar snatches of lyrics recycled later in a-ha’s music “Right from the start I knew this world would break my heart”…from I Dream Myself Alive for instance. I think your reaction and mine to this track are more or less insync Matt, it’s a demonstration of Bridges and Pal in particular’s singular and distinctive creative identity.

I really enjoy this album closer (haven't I said the same of all the other songs? 😀), though I wouldn't say it is one of my top favourites. Well, in fact it could be, there are just so many I enjoy a lot, and I have never made a list of favourites. 😉 Like Marje pointed out, part of the lyrics were later reused in I Dream Myself Alive, though omitting the opening verses ("Rain, go away / My little girl wants to play / She wonders why / The rain would like to see her cry"), because producer Tony Mansfield didn't like them. However, you have heard them in the I Dream Myself Alive demo last May. 😉 And so we close the journey through the Bridges albums. Thank you so much for yet another great ride, and I am very glad you enjoyed it. 🤗 Maybe we can still have a little Bridges extra next week... 😉
