My dad was a friend of SP in his younger years before he made it up to the nhl. When SP ended up playing for the flyers, my family lived in Florida at the time. We went to see him play the panthers one night. After the game we met up with him near the locker room. He was about as sweet of a person as you will meet. I remember having a hockey program I had asked him to sign. He went a step further. He had the whole team sign a program for me and sent it back in the mail a couple weeks later. Still have it this today. It was one of my prized childhood possessions. Being that I was a kid from Minnesota and hockey is in our blood, it was an experience I’ll never forget. Shjon is the real deal. Not many athletes out there like him!

Shjon has always been the most genuine guy. Him calling so many of his former coaches "Mr" in this interview shows alot how down to earth he was and is. Fun but never took himself too seriously. We could use another few million people like him on this planet.

@@TheMemeBorrower. My dad was a painter for Northland's in the 80's and was painting in the coliseum one day . Glen sather flagged him down and wanted some touch ups done in the dressing room one Saturday. Dad started doing work for the Oilers on weekends , then it snow balled into him painting Grant Fuhr's goalie masks . Once my brothers and I got to about 12-13 years old , we were invited to be stick boys for them . Marty mcSorley used to babysit us the odd time when mom and dad wanted date night in the early 80's . What ill never forget bout 2001 is losing Peter Forsberg after game 7 vs LA in 2nd round. To still go beat a great St Louis team,& the defending champ Devils-without the guy who was the best 2 way player on the planet at the time,(yes even better than Lindros-who he got traded for, along with a ton of other shit) was an incredible achievement,& Podein was a big 2ndary part of that. Forsberg is HOFer,but people often dont realize how dominant he was,cuz he had so many injuries. But his pts per game is unbelievable, especially since much of his career was in the somewhat dead puck era. After he had his spleen taken out in those playoffs-Forsberg missed the entire 2002 reg season, came back for the playoffs-& led the whole nhl in playoff scoring-despite the Avs losing game 7 of WCFs,& not even making the Finals. Dude also won a Hart,& Art Ross in 2003,but is underated today. Younger people have no clue how dominant that dude was, even compared to his contemporaries like Lindros. Just ask Nick Lindstrom-the best dman ive ever seen-I saw him say on a documentary that for ss great as Sakic was-Forsberg was his toughest foe,& the guy that Detroit knew they had to slow down 1st. Thats saying quite a lot Id say. Whats unbelievable is they were 1c,& 2c on the same team. You could never have that today with the cap. Just like Yzerman,& Federov in Detroit.

@@dana102083 OMG-does that not sum up THIS YEARS Avs. Unless the numbers are almost 500 vs like 80,(our lost man games vs Dallas lost this yr)or how bout 2,(disallowed goals) 30,(about how many yrs since a deffending champ was this injured)1,(how many pure lucky goals Seattle scored in game 7...kinda a problem when you lose 2-1,despite dominating).1 again(how many dirty hits that thug George Parros decided to let go scott free.I was fine with Makars suspension, but Eberles hit was far more egregious)...or 1 again.(as in they decided to call bout 1% of the penalties commited in game 7-by both teams-but that benefits the less talented team-just when our PP was finding its way),or finally...1 again. Thatd be how many of the 5 teams left I can stand winning the cup.(Carolina) The other 4,I either hate everything about their organization,(Vegas,& Dallas),hate their fan base(Vegas,Seattle,& Dallas...Fla has no fan base really),or hate how lucky theyve got to even still be alive. They deserve some credit for finding a way-but mainly they just had the biggest 4 leaf clovers.(Florida,Seattle,& only cuz of suffering almost no injuries all yr-Dallas). Damn, sorry bout that-yes im still super bitter, but very proud of the resiliency,& fight these Avs showed.Despite getting no breaks from the hockey/injury gods-all season,or in this series-on,& off the ice. But what can ya do-its random ass hockey! Besides I work at Ball arena-& the Avs losing-through almost no fault of their own-does affect my bottom line.Lets go Nuggets-I dont wanna have to get another summer job yet ,& heal up Avs! And I seriously usually rip fans/media for making excuses. I killed the Avs after the Vegas series,& said they got exactly as they deserved. But every now,& then-the "excuses" are actually just the real reason something happened,& thats how I see this season basically.

Random free agent signings and hoping hot goaltending bails a mediocre team out is fading. They have no identity, and haven't since fluking their way to a Stanley Cup final appearance.

If the NHL wants load management just shorten the season. Make every game mean something. I think if you took 8-12 games off the schedule you’d have harder fought games with a lot more at stake. I think it would get the crowd more into it and honestly if the product gets more entertaining the fans won’t complain about a small ticket price increase to help the owners generate the missing income from the games they took away. I think in the long run the owners, players, and fans could all benefit from a shortened season

Essene Gospel of Peace “It was said to them of old time; Honour your Heavenly Father and your Earthly parents, and do the commandments; that your days may be long on the earth.” And first was given this commandment, 'You will not kill’. for life is given to all by the Eternal One, and that which the Eternal One has given, let not man take away. I tell you truly, from one Mother = {Haweh/Eve} precedes all that lives on the earth. Therefore, he who kills, murders his own brother, And from him will the Earth's power turn away, {like Kayin/Cain} and will pluck from him her ability to yield. And he will be shunned-{for protection} by angels, and Evil will have his dwelling in his body; And the flesh of slain beasts in his body will become his own tomb. For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself, and who ever eats the flesh of slain beasts, eats the body of death,- In ‘his blood’ every drop of ‘their blood’ turns to ‘poison’; in his breath is their breath to rot; in his flesh their flesh as skin disease; in his bones, their bones make soft; in his bowels their bowels make decay; in his eyes their eyes make scales; in his ears their ears create a waxy issue; and their death will become his death. For only in the service of your Heavenly Father are your sins of 7 years forgiven in 7 days. But Evil forgives you nothing, and you must pay Evil for all. Eye for eye, tooth for tooth; hand for hand; foot for foot; burning for burning; wound for wound, life for life; death for death.! For the wages of sin is death. Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey; lest you become the slaves od Evil. For that is the path of suffering’s and it leads to death. But do the will of the Eternal One , that his angels may serve you on the way of life. Proverbs 12-10: A righteous man regards the needs of his animal’s soul; but the mercies of the wicked are cruel...
