We used to have hand engravers like that in Buenos Aires Argentina, in gents rings with initials on top we used to send a square plate 2mm thick to the engraver, after piercing with the saw blade and soldering back to the engraver for a final faceting Professional setters do engraving on illusion plates but just on straight lines to "enlarge" the size of the diamond, When I came to Australia in 1973 it was just that fashion! Beatiful!

Hi arikanjo, Many thanks for uploading this part of your ring engraving. Really interesting to see you 'rough' it out and then use that to sometimes give you a guid and other times it is not in quite the right place and doesn't follow the line you want so you make your out with 'tidying up' still to do. Thanks again. Take care. mrbluenun
Nice, really nice. I was fascinated by your work . I imagine that your work is the result of years of experience and study, but I'd like to know more. I'd like to try the copper is soft . Can you tell me how to call the tool that you use? And a link to buy it on the internet . Thank you and congratulation

:) thank you very much. today i made a square graver from carbon steel and practiced on a pewter plate i made. It went poorly. i took hours making the graver. it works well. I need a rotary vice. lol. i will check at the library and also register at that forum. :D i kept geting a scratch line, not a smooth one. you could see where i was hitting the hammer?

Hello arikanjo, With regard to the comment you just made about criticising.............. If it was for me I never meant to be critical at all. Just saying that you used the pencil marks as a rough guide and the desihn is complete when you go back and ease a little more off or make a cut deeper or shallower hope you understand. I RESPECT you and anyone who can sit there and engrave a ring in just a few minutes! Respect to you my friend.

I think that I can buy it at a working tool store. However, you have to sharpen your blade yourself. I am processing the metal in Italian style and wearing grips.

it is always easy to criticize but to show us what you're capable ... Still, all that remains is manual work of art and I know what I mean! Yours.
If you sell it, I really want to buy!
Ótimo !
